The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

I had placed an order via Uber Eats from Sake. While my order was in route, the restaurant called and informed me that my driver forgot the hot items. Before I could even feel an ounce of disappointment and without prompt I was asked for my address as well as phone number and their delivery guy brought my ramen! No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!

They also offer a terrific sushi combo special; 2 rolls for $15 or 3 rolls for $19.45. We got two 3-roll sushi combos and I personally opted for the Spicy Salmon, Spicy Scallop, and Shrimp Tempura rolls. My favorite roll was the Spicy Scallop roll, but all the rolls were amazing! The Spicy Scallop Roll is a MUST TRY here. The fish is so fresh and they give a lot of fish (perfect fish-to-rice ratio!). I love how the tempura was crispy in the sushi rolls as well. Overall, the quality of the food is solid too, and it's a great place to get some tasty sushi. There are probably about 8 tables max at Toppu, so it's a great spot to grab some takeout. They have their own parking lot and there's tons of street parking right in front of the restaurant. However, I definitely recommend dining in though! The restaurant is clean and cute. I love how they have Toppu dishes and glasses. The staff is also very friendly. One thing to note though (which is the only reason I'm giving Toppu 4 stars instead of 5) is that the service can be a bit slow when they're busy. It took some time to get our food and the bill. There was only one waiter working as well. I'm sure once they've been open for a while they'll figure it out! I recommend giving Toppu a try! I'll be back soon to try their ramen and omurice.

This time I was not afraid of the heat, and ordered the spicy "Volcano" Ramen. I've had my tail absolutely handed to me a handful of times, but I decided to trust the server that it wasn't crazy hot. Well, I am glad to report this was the best bowl of ramen I have had in a long time. It was so good, even though it has been less than 24 hours, I am tempted to go back and order the same thing again. This is one of those rare cases when I cannot think of anything negative to say. Yes, this means I have experienced perfection! I have to start with the broth: the broth had the perfect amount of salt, was very savory, and had a hint of extremely pleasant sweetness. True to the server's word, the heat level was on point. It was spicy enough to be noticeable, but not at all overpowering or overwhelming. The definition of pleasant heat. The Chashu was also great! It was grilled/roasted instead of being boiled, and it had a good balance of fatty and meaty. It had absorbed a little bit of sweetness from the broth which worked wonders with the protein. For the noodles, these were cooked to perfection with just a teeny tiniest amount of firmness for texture. The egg was also cooked perfectly. For the veggies: I love the use of bean sprouts and bamboo shoots for added freshness and crunch. The use of Nori (which I think also counts as a veggie?) was also excellent and added a new dimension to the bowl. Finally, for the service, other than me wishing that an empty water glass was noticed a bit faster, no complaints here. The service was kind, polite, and speedy. When it comes to the location, it is clean and bright! They did a truly lovely job renovating in rehabbing the Dunkin' Donuts that used to be here. With this, I am absolutely a fan of Toppu, and I'm going to make a point to stop in at least one more time before I leave the state for good!

Each time since that, whenever I, myself, or my husband with others, the service, food, and quality got less and less, and prices got higher & higher. The way the food was back then was amazing! But, now it's just sort of OK. My husband often feels ripped off, and disappointed. Anyways, we can make our own Thai Tea now, at home. And, there's other Thai places which we like so much better. Sorry. I don;t like writing negative reviews, but it's just OK, and not really worth the drive.

Honestly the sushi was just okay. Nothing tasted particularly fresh or flavorful. It all kind of blended together into a forgettable pile of rice. The one bright spot was the peking maki which is basically a peking duck roll and it was genuinely good. That thing saved the meal. The seaweed salad was like half daikon. I didn't sign up for that. Service was pretty bad too. Nobody checked back on us the whole time. You'd think after dropping a bunch of rolls on the table they'd at least swing by once, but nope. The decor isn't doing them any favors either. Feels like the place hasn't been touched since the early 2000s and it shows. Definitely not somewhere you're pulling your phone out to take pictures. There's even a hole in the ceiling on one side of the restaurant which was a little hard to ignore. My girlfriend wasn't feeling too hot afterwards so that's something to keep in mind. Probably won't be rushing back but if I do I'm just ordering the peking maki and calling it a day.

As for the service, don't expect much in terms of hospitality. This is a Chinese takeout place, so English will not be their first language, I wouldn't want to make communication difficult for them.
