Nothing special about the appearance of Omoto Garden whether inside or outside of the restaurant, as it's dark and gloomy, but still has the good Chinese service and food that is very reminiscent of the old school spots from the 90s. You have to try this place! read more

This is my go to for Chinese. Service is fast. Food is good. Staff is friendly. Better prices. The restaurant has plenty room for dine in. There is a bar. They also have karaoke on some nights. read more

The food is fantastic- but on some weekdays they shut down the restaurant side. When you've got a hungry preschooler you make do. We sat on the bar side at one of the lower tables and food was great- but it took over 20 mins to catch the bartender's attention after we finished our meal. (We were the only ones not drinking.) I'll just get takeout next time. read more

YUM. I can't believe it took me so long to try this place that is so close to my house. This will likely be our new go-to place for Asian cuisine... My husband and I ordered takeout: sushi, spring rolls, udon noodles and rice. The menu is large with plenty of variety. Sushi was delicious. We both didn't care for the spring rolls but the noodles were my favorite; I ate them all and wanted more! My husband complained about the orange duck sauce as he prefers the brown kind. I would come back for the noodles alone, they were that good! I hear they have wild karaoke nights on certain days if you dine in. We will definitely be back :) read more

Never disappoints until, I placed a pickup order for the first time, paying for edamame but not receiving it; my bad for not checking the order accuracy before I left but in all fairness was starving and trying to get home in the rain before full darkness hit. Still remains the best Chinese food in the area. read more

The Best Asian food in the area. I have eaten at this restaurant 4 times. The food is always delicious, fresh, perfectly prepared, and served hot. The menu offers many choices. Great service and prices. The only room for improvement is that "To-Go" menus are handed out to in-restaurant diners, and the tiny descriptions are difficult to read. read more

I have never ordered Chinese food for this much money with this amount of rice and apps. Thx for 3 of each! The rice was soaked in oil as well. Had to air fry the apps that were drenched and soggy. read more

Super Friendly staff and karaoke on Fridays with Don is always an amazing time. Best food items are the chicken wings and scallion pancakes

Food is great here! Been here a few time staff is very nice and quick!! Best lobster sauce in town!!!!

Service could be a lot better. When dealing with problems. My order was not right. She didn't care to fix the problem. I will not be back!!!

I do not like to write bad reviews BUT! This food was probably the worst Chinese food I have ever had. All the apps on the pu pu platter tasted like they had been in deep freeze for years. Very little taste. Even the egg rolls tasted freezer Burned. The pork lowmein was bland and mostly spaggetti. I had tea and it came in an old stained mug. Do I need to tell you more? read more

I normally don't rate places this low but with a family member stuck at the hospital down the street I searched for local Chinese. With the great reviews I thought why not!? I ordered combination plate general gso chicken rice and chicken wings. The chicken wings were more from a kfc or Popeyes than a typical Chinese restaurant. Then the plate it came in was a small plastic container. The chicken tasted more like orange chicken than what I ordered. And best of all... I got back to hospital to eat and there were no utensils!!! NONE!! How can you miss this on a to go order?!?! read more

This Chinese restaurant is conveniently located on Route 18 in Abington. I went in there recently on a Sunday evening since I was in the area and had a craving for Chinese. The hostess brought me to a table in the dining room immediately and my server came over pretty much right away. The restaurant had a good amount of customers in it without being overly busy so the service was pretty fast. I ordered the beef with broccoli dinner plate which came with pork fried rice and an appetizer. I chose the chicken fingers as my appetizer. I also ordered a cup of their hot and sour soup. The waitress brought my soup out so I could enjoy it while I was waiting for dinner to be served. The soup was delicious and once my meal came I enjoyed the meal also. Everything was cooked perfectly and was very delicious. The service was efficient. I can definitely see myself going back to this place. read more

Cute restaurant with fantastic (and strong) Mai Tais. Food was good, service was great. Will return.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Called in an order for pick up. The lady on the phone did not even repeat my order back to me. It made me feel rushed.. when the order was picked up by someone else due to me being unable to they did not notice the price difference because one she did not give me a price because she rushed the entire process. And be the sushi apparently took forever so the person picking up the order just wanted to get out because they waited more than the 20 minutes that she said on the phone. And when arriving home, we're missing a whole meal leaving one person stranded. read more

I am 51 years old , I have been going to this place since the 90's , about 4 years ago I was there with a group of people and one got into a fight ,I helped get him out of there even though the bouncer dad agreesivly grabbed my bear squeezing my hand till the can crushed while I was going to the hallway to try and separate the fight, I got the person out of there and kept the piece ,was never aggressive in anyway. now I have had groups of friends go there on several occasions and would go to hang out and sing Karoke with the dj Harry with knows me and vouches for me that I have never caused any problem..sadly every time I go there they won't serve me and even other friends because they are affiliated with the person who was in the fight 4 years agoutis happened again last night ,they would not serve me , never did anything wrong , they also would not serve my brother who has not been there in over 30 years , the person that got in the fight 4 years ago was in the fight with Harry the Karoke guy , the same guy who vouched for me last night , just because you know someone should not determine if you get served , I have spoken with the owner Melody many times about this , sadly she says her and her staff decided to not serve anyone who has any affiliation with that person , I told melody that I am not even friends with that person any more ,I asked her , how would it feel if you went somewhere and you have to deal with that , thus ruining your evening . the only reason I even go is because I have friends that ask me to meet them and thats were they are I have a large amount of friends any go there , so now they are saying , you are not allowed because you know this person , what they did to my brother last night was demoralizing I believe this place is discriminating agains people who don't reach their criteria whatever that may be read more

I could not recommend this place more! Karaoke on the weekends. Staff is fast pace but very friendly. If you come often enough you may even get your beer opened for you before you even sit down! And honestly it's so fun watching all the different kinds of people singing. I wish there was more room but my favorite bars are always the same size ! Keno is always a must and the actual food has always been flawless. No complaints on food a except I think eel is gross lol if you need either sushi or classic fingers and fried rice you'll be happy either way. Lots of reasons to come here. I will 100% be back. read more

Good local takeout sushi, have not sat down to eat in the restaurant, food consistently good

A mile away from my place.. expensive but its my go to place for emergency .. i have no other choice.. meeehh it aight.

Take out food was pretty good. Fast service. Neatly packed with condiments. Friendly waiter.

My go to Asian American restaurant. Scorpian Bowls are great and you can even play Keno.

I sat at the bar for 45 minutes after I ate for some Togo food I ordered while I was eating.

Omoto Garden is my favorite Chinese/Japanese place on the south shore. The food is delicious. Sushi is fresh and amazing. The scorpion bowls are the best. Been coming here for years and Ray the bartender is really fast, and he remembers you. Would definitely recommend coming in to this local place for awesome food and good drinks. Sometimes I do takeout too. read more

Mark and I wanted to have a date night and decided to check this place out...big mistake. I have no problem with people enjoying themselves when it comes to karaoke, but two booths ahead of ours reeked of piss. I have no problem with an empty restaurant either because if their reviews are good, then I am not worried. Mark and I were seated and our waitress was rude, abrupt and didn't really want to be there. We didn't walk out because we were so hungry and didn't want to faint. The sushi was meh and the beef lo mein was inedible. The beef lo mein had barely any veggies and the beef didn't look like beef. The sushi was slightly on the warm side, but the presentation was on point. I am thankful I didn't get food poisoning. I am definitely not returning. read more

I ordered lunch here a few weeks ago and got the chicken with cashew nuts with fried rice. When I picked it up, they charged me an extra $7.50 for the fried rice. Why didn't they tell me upfront that there was a surcharge? If I knew beforehand, I would not have taken it. I was kind of upset about the whole thing but took it since I didn't want them to waste the food. Other than that, the chicken with cashew nuts was pretty good. read more

I've now had sushi at quite a few places and have tried many different types here. Through the beginning of COVID Omoto was closed and we were SO sad. You don't know what you're missing until it's gone and we def love this place! We will be moving to the other side of Weymouth soon but won't hesitate to make the trip to Omoto because their food is delicious and has never disappointed. read more

I drive past this place all the time and finally decided to try it. I've heard very mixed things and I'd hate to say it, but I won't be back. We were there on a Monday night and there were only about 5 other people there. In the 10 minutes we were there waiting for our take out order the 5 people in the bar were yelling profanities at each other, disco music was blaring and the bartender was swearing back at them. She actually said the guys name followed by "Shut the f**k up" very loudly. This place is trashy and our food wasn't worth it at all. read more

Thus far, we've only had the sushi here and it has been incredible both times. Also had the steamed shumai and that was very tasty as well. Looking forward to trying other menu items! read more

My buddy and I stopped here for lunch today. We sat at the bar and I ordered a lunch special with a scorpion bowl on the side, my special was chicken chow mein, chicken fingers and pork fried rice. The food was excellent as was the scorpion bowl. The gentleman behind the bar was quick and conscientious. We also played some keno, I lost, but overall a great lunch experience. My family wanted Chinese for dinner and I wanted to try somewhere other than our local go-to (bamboo moon). I got takeout from Omoto: we ordered 1 large shrimp fried rice, 1 large chicken wing, beef w/ broccoli, and 1 large vegetable lo mein. Our total cost was approximately $38. The place was busy with both patrons dining in and folks getting takeout. Nonetheless my food was ready in just about 20 minutes. The food was really good..not the best I've had..but really good. I recommend trying their lo mein. There were also a lot of folks grabbing sushi from this place and I think I'll get that next time. read more

We got take- out sushi from here on a Friday night. While the restaurant wasn't jammed, the bar area seemed lively (albeit an older crowd) and there was a good amount of people picking up take-out. They have a good menu of sushi & sashimi, rolls, and specialty rolls. On the sushi dinner menu there is an option for four specialty rolls for $37 and change. This is a good value where they are all at least over $10. The only thing is you do not get to pick all four rolls. The hostess went over to the sushi chef and asked him what he makes and, at least on the Friday we were there, it is: - Omoto Roll - Rose Roll - an off the menu roll - a specialty roll of your choice We ordered it and asked for the Pikachu roll. On the off the menu roll we asked for something with eel and they made us what appeared to be a volcano or dragon roll you might see at other places. The hostess was very nice and accommodating to all of our questions. The sushi was delicious, as was the miso soup that is included with the sushi dinner. After we ate, we decided we found our new sushi place. read more

Omoto is an amazing restaurant. It has exceptional sushi at a fantastic price. I have never found myself saying that any of their roles are bad or not up to par. I specifically love the spicy tuna roll. I normally show up with my wife and we get five to six roles, two soups, and a scorpion bowl for about 45 dollars. They also have a coupon on there to-go menu which takes off 5 to 10 dollars, as well as keep your eyes open on Groupon. I have not tried to much of their Chinese food, but i have had my two favorites, crab rangoon and beef lo mein and thought they both were fantastic. And heated up well the next day which is always important with Chinese food. Overall i rave about this place to everyone as having great prices, great food, and easy going. Stop by for dinner and you wont regret it. read more
