Ordered take out from them today. Food is still delicious. I ordered their spicy seafood rolls and combination plates (general Tso chicken +pork fried rice+ chicken fingers). Spicy seafood roll is delicious and definitely something that I will order in future. The general Tso chicken is tasty and not too greasy, the sauce is more toward sweet and sour instead of spicy. Pork fried rice is heavy on the soy sauce, but still ok. Chicken fingers is a bit greasy and the breading is loosely attached to the meat. Servers are friendly and prompt. read more

Wow. I was not expecting to be very impressed but here we are; easily my new favorite Asian food spot!! This place recently opened and it's a whopping 5 mins from our house so my husband and I decided to try some take-out: tuna avocado rolls, pork fried rice, chicken pad thai, egg rolls, maki combo C (spicy tuna rolls, spicy salmon rolls and spicy yellowtail rolls) and we got free crab rangoon for ordering over $50 worth of food. Everything tasted unbelievably fresh like it was made-to-order and not sitting around the kitchen waiting to be reheated. The rice & pad thai were excellent. Crab rangoons are one of my favorite things and these ones were creamy, dreamy and delicious! Definitely some of the best I've ever had. And the sushi!! I've been looking for sushi in this area that is similar to my favorite (Fuji's) and I think I finally found it! All the ingredients are sliced very small/thin/fine (which is hard to find) and I think it makes for a better sushi roll - tastes better and is easier to eat. You might drive right past Nagoya if you didn't know it was there. Tiny little spot tucked away in a plaza on Crescent St. Inside is clean and classy looking! I had previously ordered on DoorDash and wanted to stop in to grab a poke bowl (AMAZING). It's a little bit pricy but has a good sized menu, service is fast, and presentation is good. The mix of Chinese and Japanese cuisine is good. I have had both over several visits. Some of the sushi entrees seem under priced and of higher quality. The staff has been pleasant and attentive (always a smile).. I've only got one thing that negatively affected my experience and that's noise from the bar (just because I can be a bit of an introvert). This restaurant was takeout and decided to relocate to another location with a full bar and restaurant. I was never a fan, but my wife loves it. We decided to go for lunch on a Saturday and sit down and have a few drinks as well. The inside is nice and was upgraded from the previous Chinese restaurant. My issue is my food was luke warm and I asked the waitress if she could make it hot. I never complain about hot food, but am tired of paying my hard earned money and most restaurants are not serving the food hot. Well! I've had enough and if I'm paying it's gotta be right from now on. The waitress had an instant attitude when I asked to send it back. She felt the bottom of the plate , rolled her eyes and says "The bottom of the plate is hot." I responded "If you don't believe me taste it and you will see." She came back 2 minutes later and it was hot. Obviously, it was microwaved, but I didn't care. She waited on the other customers and never checked back with us to see if we was good. I received the bill and noticed there was a "Service Charge " equal to a 15 percent tip. When I paid the bill I asked and the host confirmed they added a tip on a party of 2. They snuck that fee in because they assumed I was going to tip the rude waitress. I crossed it out and put $5. Later I was charged the $5 plus the 15 percent service charge. I got delivery here so I can't say what the inside of the restaurant is like or the service. The food did take longer than expected to arrive but it was worth it because I personally thought the sushi and food was good! I ordered a tuna avocado sushi and the salmon avocado mango sushi. Both sushi tasted good! The fish was fresh and there wasn't too much rice on the rolls which is always a plus! The sushi was rolled neatly and I got a good amount of fish vs avocado ratio. The Pad Thai was surprisingly yummy as well! I was hesitant to order from this place due to the reviews but it was actually really tasty. I don't like food that's overly salty or drenched in oil but this place definitely did not taste too salty or oily! I would definitely want to come back to this place! This happened last summer but I forgot to leave a review at the time. I ordered noodles and as always noted there's a peanut allergy. My little brother ate the noodles along with other foods and after a while he started feeling nauseous and eventually threw up. When he has an allergic reaction it usually starts with vomiting and can end there or get worse. I called Nagoya to ask about the order and ask if they used peanut oil or if there could've been cross contamination they assured me they don't and they noted the allergy. Since my brother ate other foods, I assumed it was upset stomach from something else which happens, but I still always monitor for other reactions if he ever throws up. He didn't have any allergic other reaction and I had both noted the food allergy while placing the order and confirmed it after so I didn't suspect it was an allergic reaction. I thought he'd finished the noodles but turns out he put leftovers away. The next day he heated up only the Nagoya noodles on his own and ate them. Almost immediately afterwards he threw up and came to get me. This time he was also itching, had hives, wheezing and mild difficulty breathing. My sister and I took him to the ER and brought his EpiPen in case his symptoms escalated. Nagoya still had the audacity to lie again when I called them while we were at the hospital. We were at the hospital for only a few hours and there wasn't a hospital bill so it wasn't worth seeking legal action. If he'd been hospitalized they would've been paying his hospital bill, legal fees, and then some. Their food is mid at best so it wasn't hard to never eat there again. Lying *ssholes. read more

Very solid place to get sushi in Brockton. I work at the hospital nearby, and we order takeout from here pretty often for small meetings. We usually get the fresh party platter as it's perfect to share between a group of 5 to 6 people. The fish that they use is really fresh, I like their plain tuna and salmon maki because the quality of the ingredients is good enough that simple is better here. The spicy tuna and salmon rolls are good too, as is the fried shrimp tempura roll. We have some coworkers join sometimes who are vegetarian or they don't eat raw fish, and there's good options for vegetarian rolls and cooked fish rolls to satisfy any kind of eater. I haven't tried anything other than sushi here but I imagine it would also be quite good. The prices are quite reasonable too. I would recommend this restaurant, especially in the context of other restaurants in the area. read more

A fine-dining experience this is not. The parking lot is almost always empty, and stepping inside the doors almost leads you to walk back out, but if you're on campus at Massasoit and need an inexpensive, reasonably good meal for lunch or dinner, Nagoya should be on your radar. Ambiance/Atmosphere: There's almost no ambiance to speak of. The vibe of this place is half back-alley fish market and half San Jose 1990s strip-mall sushi joint. There's hardly anyone here. A TV hangs over the sushi bar and was playing soap operas during lunch. Loud, obnoxious gossip from one individual echoes throughout the room. Service: I was greeted almost immediately when I came in, and asked to sit at the sushi bar. When I ordered a couple of rolls, the same man who greeted me, and took my order, also got to work on my sushi rolls. Talk about a one man operation. [I found out later, there is another man who also works on the sushi bar, as he was assisting another customer.] This is very non-traditional, and borderline inappropriate for any restaurant setting, but I went with it. The host/server/sushi chef was very polite and friendly. Food: I ordered a Sushi Lunch Special (tuna combo) for $11.25. This includes a spicy tuna roll, a regular tuna roll and 2 pieces of tuna nigiri. A tasty and complimentary miso soup was offered to me; I always appreciate free miso soup-- should be standard, really. The fish was served slightly cool, but not chilled. The regular tuna roll was average to better than average: tight roll, good ratio of tuna to rice. The spicy tuna roll was better than average: good flavor, nice addition of sesame seeds to the outside of the roll [gave a nutty flavor], tight roll. The nigiri was better than average, but could be improved more by using a higher quality tuna. Take out is also offered. Price: Here's where perhaps the questionable ambiance gets overridden: the price. Nagoya offers all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi buffets for both lunch AND dinner. Lunch is a rock-bottom low $13.95. Dinner is the more standard price of $19.95. I love that they offer sushi lunch combos that are affordable and worth the money you're shelling out ($8.95-12.50 for 14-24 pieces). For a couple dollars more, you can indulge in AYCE sushi lunch. For lighter eaters, "standard" rolls like tuna rolls ($4.70) and California rolls ($5.25) are quite obviously a "good deal" on their own. Overall, Nagoya is suitable for a solo lunch or dinner, or for gorging on sushi with a good friend or two. Wouldn't call this place "date night" worthy, unless your girl (or guy) is super chill and down to mow through some cheap, good-quality sushi at an otherwise ramshackle restaurant. read more

A solid choice for Japanese cuisine. We ordered spicy pad thai, shrimp tempura, and crab rangoon. The pad thai was delicious with a spicy finish that leaves a wonderful tickle on the taste buds. Rangoons were cooked just right with a fair cream cheese to crab meat ratio. The only reason this meal is receiving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that the shrimp tempura (our original reason for ordering from Nagoya™) was lacking. The roll was loose and the taste was average. We finished our meal with a fortune cookie. Mine read as follows: "Difficulty at the beginning often means ease at the end." Ordered fantastic mango roll, sweet potato tempura roll,Alligator roll,Grilled salmon roll, One large chicken fried rice, one small order of chicken wings and an order of crab rangoons. I know sushi is traditionally raw and therefore cold. I just order cooked sushi because that's what my wife prefers. I know this is a sushi restaurant, so I know maybe the chicken fried rice and chicken wings and crab Rangoon is not their specialty. With that being said if you can't do it with good quality just don't do it at all. I stopped in to pick up the order. Gave the last four digits of my phone number and was told my order was not ready. I did show up roughly 10 minutes or more after my order was supposed to be ready, things happen so I waited.People funneled in and out picking up their orders. After 20 minutes I saw a new set of orders come out and I went and looked for my order on the table, as at this point I am frustrated because we are getting close to a half hour of when my order should've been ready for pick up. I saw my sitting on the table and it was not one of the new ones that was brought out, meaning that my order was sitting there on the table the whole time I was there. I picked it up and I said this is actually my order and I said have a nice day and started to walk out. Someone chased me down in the parking lot to verify that it was really my order. I was literally ready to just give them the order back and call the credit card company to cancel the payment so I couldn't be charged for it because at that point it was getting ridiculous. I did tell the lady here take the order and just cancel it then she said never mind and said I'm sorry, I don't know if they have a problem with people stealing orders or what but it just felt ridiculous. Now for the food review. The chicken wings should not even be on the menu as you see in the picture three of the five chicken wings are literally just a chicken part I guess you could say. Also was very cold as it was sitting on the table for close to a half hour, the drive home is minimal as I live five minutes away. Crab Rangoon was decent but again cold because it sat there. The grilled salmon sushi tasted pretty good but just as if something was cooked and grilled it should be warm but it wasn't at all so it just tasted wrong. Same thing with the alligator roll and sweet potato roll. The only good thing was the fantastic mango sushi roll. But everything else like the chicken wings , I'm sorry I mean chicken parts, The crab Rangoon and the chicken fried rice all had to be warmed up. I normally have a pretty good experience with my meals at Nagoya but this time the food seemed extremely bland.. completely flavorless from the chicken to the rice. I've ordered a bunch of times from here before and normally they're pretty solid with their flavors. I ordered teriyaki chicken and rice and it was awful. After the first bite i couldn't take any more. It only took 5 mins for my meal to come out after ordering which makes me think that it was just rushed. I'm giving it 3 starts based on previous experiences, had it be based on this experience i would have given it 1. I would still somewhat recommend it just never getting the chicken teriyaki again. The folks working at Nagoya forgot to include the drink. We called them once we arrived home and discovered the missing drink. They were unapologetic and kept trying to push us to take a store credit rather than a refund. The food is a combination of being very oily and bland. The sushi tasted like it went bad. My boyfriend works in the middle of no where where restaurant don't deliver. This location has grub hub and they take it all the way to where he work which is awesome! I Ordered him Kung Pao shrimp meal which comes with two appetizers(spring rolls (2) and crab Rangoon) and fried rice. Also ordered sweet potatoes tampora. Besides being amazed that he was able to get delivery, my boyfriend loved the food! He said the food was not heavy and it came with big portions! 12/31/2021 - New Year's Eve. We ordered off of their website, in hopes of mitigating any order issues at 12:45 pm for a 5:00 pm pickup. We received 2 confirmations that our order would be ready on time. We arrived promptly at 5. Our order was no where to be found. I inquired when it would be ready. They lost the order. Fortunately, I had a screenshot of the order. Talking to the manager, yielded more frustration. After 7 different attempts including repeating my order number 7 times, our food arrived at 645. I wanted to discuss the situation with manager. She would not even acknowledge my presence. When we got home, we reviewed the order. My mistake for not checking at the store. We we're missing at least 3 items we were charged for. Not surprising, as Nagoya could not manage their orders. At 1 point during the 7 visits for a status on our order, the manager cited they had orders from the day before not filled. Textbook example of poor customer service and order management. Next year, we will be ordering elsewhere. What a shame the food was excellent. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! read more

The hidden sushi gemstone in Brockton. Love this place! It has my favorite sushi roll "Spicy Mango Roll" out of all the sushi places I've been to, doesn't matter if it's out of state or country. I love most of their house rolls and you can never go wrong with their sit down "Nagoya Special". With the special you get to choose 4 items from the menu at a flat rate of $22.99. You get to choose 4 rolls or a mix and match of the other items in the menu. This is all freshly cooked not a buffet style. Try this place out, it is not fancy but you won't regret it. read more

I was so hungry after moving all day and they left me with nothing. When I went to get a refund they said that someone has accepted the food and because of that fact they wouldn't refund me. I've never gone to Nagoya to eat, but I've ordered delivery from them several times now. I love that they deliver to me, and that they're usually pretty quick, but that's where the happy train stops. The food quality is A-OK. Not good, not great, but they haven't given me food poisoning. After half a dozen orders, I haven't found a single thing on their menu that I crave or feel I can't live without. Sushi items that I usually crave fall short of satisfying my craving when I order them from here. One big, glaring problem for me is that they use those disgusting crab sticks in their california rolls instead of shredded crab or even imitation crab. So anything I'd normally order that involves a california roll, like a rainbow roll or a volcano roll, is slightly less appetizing than it should be. Another yelper described the meal she gets from Nagoya as "inexpensive" and "reasonably good", and that seems fair. It's not expensive sushi, and it's not exactly cheap... it's not great sushi, and it's not exactly good, etc. I've ordered other things on their menu, and not been particularly impressed with their cooked food options, but if faced with the choice of pizza, "reasonably good" sushi that has yet to give me food poisoning or hunger, I'll probably order from them again. read more

Not what I was expecting. Came with some friends who dine here pretty often but it was my first time at this restaurant. From the interior and exterior appearance of the restaurant I wasn't expecting to eat much. I have been eating Chinese food and sushi at the same restaurant in Stoughton for the last 25 years because I am usually disgusted by most other establishments. To my absolute surprise and delight Nagoya was an incredibly pleasant surprise. The appetizers that we ordered, entrees , and Sushi were all not only incredibly delicious but super fresh.... and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely add this restaurant to my list of regulars going forward. Again, The Establishment is not the fanciest but the quality of food makes up for it by far. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the ambiance but the food was as good as it gets. read more
