My husband and I drove 30 minutes just to grab dinner. We hadn't been here in 3 years due from living out of state. Anyway, I was excited to build my own combo plate. For $15.25 I was hoping for way more than a half plate. I literally got a scoop of lobster sauce, 3 scoops of rice, 4 boneless ribs, and 2 crab ragoons. EVERYTHING was salty. I will not be going back. This is robbery!!Combo Plates

Wowee to Maui. Five phat-ass American stars for being a great American-style Chinese restaurant and for being wicked easy on the wallet. Beware that Maui is not an upscale or yuppified place. In-house lottery amenities and table-side views of scrappy junk yards and like make this place unpretentious and blue-collar. My One took me here early in the day to beat the crowds that have been flocking here for over 40 years. The hostess was very friendly and politely informed us that their credit card machine was busted and cash only was accepted. No biggie. We requested a window seat in this empty place and perused the menu and opted for the Deluxe Lunch Special. Your choice of four items among 20 or more choices of "the usual" classics. Moey chose essentially a PuPu Pladder selection (Wings, PFR, 'Goons and Fingers) and I chose Meatless Egg Foo Yung, Beef with Peapods, Kung Pao, and Shrimp with Veggies. Hot tea was served au gratis. It was a bit of a wait until the phood arrived but all was hot n' fresh (sans the PFR per usual). My Yung was "lambasted" with redneck brown gravy and piping hot. My other items were delish and "lambasted" with goopy AF MSG sauces and contained plenty of animal. Very generous portions for a mere $11.50. This leaves plenty of cash in your wallet to play Keno and scratch tix while dining and to do other smart things with your money. The service was excellent as these peeps are true decades-old veterans of Maui. This is most certainly not their first rodeo in serving customers efficiently. If you like cheap prices, lottery, junk-yard views, old-school simplicity and yummy phood then peep out Maui for some good ole American Chinese. Capture the experience, YELPers, and just say, "Yes" to MSG. FYI: Drinks are inexpensive and be sure to order their "secret menu item" drink called a "Motherf**ker. It's wicked strong.

Visited my hometown, Brockton and wanted to show my girlfriend what good Chinese food tasted like without having to go into Boston. We ordered a pupu platter to share (she loved the chicken wings!) and a combination fried rice which was way too much for the two of us. I got a cocktail (forget the name but it was not to sweet, just sour enough and strong) which the server recommended and she got soup as a starter. Overall, a good meal!

The most lethal Chinese drink a Scorpion Bowl!

Seriously the best Chinese food in the Brockton Area. We always have the nicest time when we stop in for food and drinks.

My wife and I stayed in Brockton recently for a nearby concert and decided to just wander around…read morethe area looking for food. We came across this little Chinese spot and decided to stop in. Boy, am i glad we did because the food here is excellent! First off, when I walked in, I was greeted with a smile from both of the employees, who were happy to take my order and even helped me save some cash, by offering the combo. (The combos are a steal for the amount of food you get). The place is very clean and surprisingly elegant for a Chinese takeout. I always say you can judge a Chinese takeout spot by its soup and let me tell you, the wonton soup is some of the best I ever had. The wonton has a nice bite to it and is packed with flavor. The broth is also seasoned very nicely and comes with large delicious roast pork strips. I ordered two more to go after eating here - it was THAT good. (As a side note, they also reheated very well and retained the aforementioned bite without getting mushy - it was a delight). My combo was General Tso's with beef teriyaki with white rice. We have some amazing Chinese food in New York, but the beef sticks here were beyond words. Everything was just so flavorful, I loved it so much. I WILL say that the appetizers on their own are priced way too high for what they are - higher than I've ever seen at any Chinese restaurant. HOWEVER, the combos are such a great deal that it doesn't even matter. Get the combo. You won't regret it. Oh and also they have what tastes like in-house duck sauce that was lusciously smooth and sweet. It didn't necessarily go with what I ordered, but next time I'm going to get spare ribs, because that duck sauce is to die for. All in all, if I'm ever in the Brockton/Easton area again, I am making a special stop over at Bamboo Cafe.

Always friendly service from the team here and generally I love the basics (beef teriyaki, boneless…read morespareribs, crab Rangoon and wings). The rice is elevated with a mixture of duck sauce and soy sauce, very aromatic. Tonight the appetizers were underwhelming, but for it to have been on the first time, I understood there can be on off night. The crab Rangoon never disappoints, though. I had egg foo young last week from another restaurant and it was so good, better than expected. I ordered it from here and yeah, complete 180, the gravy has a star anise taste to it, reminds me of the porridge I had in Jamaica on vacation and the egg foo young (chicken) has a bitter after taste. I wasn't a fan but maybe that's how it's supposed to taste.

The last 3 times I picked up my order and was told again that the hot MUSTARD was in the bag. But when I got home and opened it, there was No hot MUSTARD. 3 times getting 2 soy sauce, 2 very small containers of duck sauce, no fortune cookies and no hot MUSTARD for my 2 luncheon orders that cost $24 dollars. I use 4 or 5 soy sauce and 1 HOT mustard by myself. So because you were so cheap with the soy and hot sauce costing less than 50 CENTS, you lost a $24 dollar a week ( or more ) customer. 'Nuff said.

My family order was taken and repeated back to in a friendly manner. 2 The food was delivered to my car door to abide by social distancing rule 3 Chicken wings were crispy and juicy. Crab Rangoons were filled with cream cheese filling. Boneless and bone in spareribs were cooked perfectly so they were tender and not overly fatty. The shrimp fried rice was also delicious and loaded with big sized shrimp . My son enjoyed the chicken fingers and my mom enjoyed the fried shrimp. The egg rolls were also yummy. 4 I liked the diversity I saw amongst the employees. When you place your order look in the windows, you can see who is working inside. You'll be pleasantly surprised . 5 The portion sizes are huge so prepare for left overs. The food tasted just as good the next day. We ended up ordering again the following week. That is unheard of with my family but they couldn't stop their cravings for more. Thanks Mee King for your great food and service during this time. The food was so good my family
