Ten out of ten! Fiancé opted to sit at the bar and get a scorpion bowl. Collin our bartender was the best! He was super personable and poured drinks like a pro. We went off of his suggestions of his favorites for our sushi roll and appetizer and I am so glad we did. The raw salmon on my roll was fresh as can be and the roll itself was delish. We got the duck appetizer and you get a good amount and the duck was crispy. If that were offered in a bigger portion as an entree I would go back just for that. I got a cucumber crab kani salad to go because why wouldn't I ?! There were also so many fun people at the bar we made friends and will absolutely be back. . Perhaps this is our new regular spot ?! Who knows

    Steak Hibachi Dinner

Hibachi was good. Chef was fun and interacted with our group. One negative I want to share was the way the bill was written. We know large groups are often added a tip. That's fine. However, the "total" in bold print included a gratuity already. Yet the bottom of the receipt stated the total with a 20% tip is $197. The suggested amount was ON TOP of the gratuity already included. We had also given our chef a $20 tip prior. No one else in our group even caught this until I told them . Sorry but in my opinion this is wrong. Check your bills. ( we did add up from their total to make it at least 20%. Their math was closer to 45%!)

    Our chef!

We came here today around 5PM and were celebrating my dads 74th birthday. We've been to hibachi 1000 times and often see the same routine with the chef (which is cool) today however, the guy was spontaneous and definitely read the mood at our table. He was very upbeat and had his own routine that was fun and fresh! He didn't stop when he was finished cooking, instead he made very funny balloon hats for the boys at the table and a tiny dog for my daughter along with swords for the other boys that were seated with us. I haven't seen my father laugh that hard in a long time! Wish we got his name (I added a pic of him off of a video I took) for the next time we visit Sakana. Food was great- as it always is!

This is a really cool spot. The like the vibe of the restaurant and the sushi is pretty solid. I love the fact they have Uni here.

Love the atmosphere here. Such awesome memories here from birthdays to graduation celebrations. Will say the quality of food seems to have decreased after COVID and prices higher but still love coming here and ordering takeout.

The only edible thing here was the miso soup. Food is super mid. Either no flavor or doused in sauce. It's giving early 2000s family budget diner restaurant. 0-10

They give you a side of chimichurri and another sauce that gives a vibrant flare to every bite. This is definitely enough for at least 2 people. For those of you that like spice, they do put jalapeño on the side so you can add it to what ever you want. They have hot sauce and other condiments at a separate table that you can help yourself to. There are also take out containers there for your leftovers. I like the way they set the restaurant up, you go to the counter and order your food just like going to a school cafeteria. You grab a table and when you're done you throw your trash away. It's worth the trip! I will definitely be back.

Oh how I thought this place would set my heart on fire! Sadly, it disappointed on the aspect of…read moreoverall flavor execution. Amidst being fresh and brightly colored, the dish was quite bland overall. I begged for some elevated heat and flavor profiles-- it definitely fell short and was not spicy in the least. And I'm not a fan of a grease soaked platter... maybe it settled while I drove home but I definitely mopped up oil with a napkin/strained. No bueno. *Sidebar: They have a delicious green sauce that was really tasty and quite frankly saved the dish. I opted for this in place of a sweet Chili Glaze sauce that is provided because I hate sweet flavor profiles in all things dinner! Lol MVP: A wonderfully kind and efficient staff... the order was complete, error free, prepared timely and everyone was very friendly. The best item I purchased was the SANGRIA topped with fresh pineapple! Not the food-- it was all about their in-house beverages. Unfortunately, the set up is almost buffet like with add ons (I paid extra for Pico de Gallo... this also elevated the dish. With the sauce I selected and the pico, the dish literally would have been as bland as a cardboard sandwich). Perhaps it's me-- my palette is pretty elevated and I love heat. Peruvian dishes aren't exactly known for bombastic flavors, spice and heat... but the crowd and utter lack of parking got me excited. Will I return? Perhaps... definitely for a different item (perhaps the roasted chicken everyone was eagerly ordering) and it's a must on the sangria option! But $32.90 for a very basic fried rice mixed with lo mein moment + salad (I tipped $3 amidst to go).... Nah. I'd be lying if I said it was worth it. Lovely aesthetic and energy, however. Chef's energy on the food though was a miss.... Season! The! Food! Sir!

I got the spicy ramen and my partner got the chicken non spicy one, please refer to pics as I forgot the name... highly recommend getting the chicken ramen, the broth is light and savory, additionally lots of protein and veggies to make it the perfect ramen bowl. The spicy ramen was okay, I love spice but this one was a bit starchy as if too much starch was used to thicken the broth. The noodles were also way too soft; and there's very little protein. I got beansprout as an add on and that was $2; a bit much if added onto the bowl.

Our food arrived fairly quickly as well. All of the staff are very friendly & attentive. The space is cool, very relaxing & open. As for the food, it was very, very SALTY. The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.

Staff was very knowledgeable about each entree, and provided information about how entrees were cooked and served. They also had a "halvsies" menu of half-size portions (ideal portions for one or two diners). Started with the Mama Chang Pork Dumplings, which were excellent, and the cauliflower appetizer (a little spicy, but very good). Liked the udon noodles with chicken and bok choy, although a little less red chili pepper would have suited my tastes better (good for those who like a bit of zing to their food). The lettuce wrap chicken was well worth the 20-minute wait. Finished with the lemon ginger mousse, which was very light. The fortune cookie on the mousse was fresh and crisp, so good that some thought it might have been baked at Joanne Chang's Flour Cafe and Bakery. The finish was extra nice, with a red lucky envelope with chocolates accompanying the check, an orange at each table (signs for good fortune in the New Year), and red decorations hanging in the restaurant to create a festive setting. Good choice for the start of the New Lunar Year of the Fire Horse!

The interior is very cool, cozy, and the cool red paint design on the glass windows makes it all feel very charming and comfortable. We did have a bit of a wait for our table despite having reservations. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share between the 4 of us - scallion pancake, bourbon chicken wings, spicy salmon rolls, pork belly buns, sliced beef, eggplant, hot n sour soup, golden potato and lemongrass soup. I think my favorite of those was the eggplant dish - perfectly cooked and flavorful with ginger and soy. Wings were good too. The soups were nice I liked the hot n sour one. The lemongrass soup was a creamy one quite tasty but also quite filling and rich. For entrees, we ordered the roasted soy glazed salmon, the Indonesian fried rice, bok choy and surf and turf noodles. Everything was good. We were all so full and also had leftovers. But decided to order dessert too - everyone loved the vanilla bean ice cream (the menu described it as a parfait) with orange granita - really generous too - 3 scoops of ice cream and the orange sorbet which was more granular than a sorbet more like very finely crushed ice. Very refreshing! The banana caramel crème brûlée was really good too - nice and creamy. The lemon ginger mousse was very creamy but I thought had a bit too much of ginger. I think the deserts were hands down everyone's favorite part of the meal despite everyone pretty much denying they wanted any! Service was very friendly by our server Julie who was delightful! Lovely young lady. Overall great experience!!
