Definitely would not recommend. Seated around 8:15pm, ordered at 8:25pm for appetizers, ordered main food even though no appetizers around 9:30pm... food started coming out 10:15pm staggered. Main entree no sides... some sides cold and one person in our group didn't get their food until 10:35pm last and appetizers came out with (and after) main entrees. A group of nine of us took my brother out for his birthday last night to Fusion Restaurant in Taunton. To say that it was probably the worst dining experience I have ever had would be an understatement!!! We had our reservation for 07:45 pm and were seated about 5 minutes after that. 15 minutes later they took our drink order, then 15 minutes after that they took our appetizer order. We waited over 90 MINUTES to receive our FIRST appetizers, which literally took another half an hour for all the appetizers to be brought out to the table. We also waited over an hour for the entrees to start coming out of the kitchen, and incomplete at that. A few of us had ribeye steaks, which came out to the table by themselves. The sides took another 10-15 minutes to reach the table. The mashed potatoes that I ordered with my steak came out ICE COLD, as if they were just taken out of the fridge and put in a dish and brought to the table. One of us ordered the red snapper for the entrée and it came out a full 30 minutes after everyone else at the table had already been served their entrees!!! Many of us had waited for her to get her food and didn't even bother to eat by the time the snapper came to the table because we had truly lost our appetite!!! Speaking of the food, the appetizers tasted as though they were frozen chicken wings with bottled sauce slapped on them and the rangoons tasted like they were just out of the box instead of hand made. The ribeye steaks were cut very thin and had tons of the fat cap left on them, and for that garbage they charged $32. Lastly, after two and a half hours and after the food finally came to the table, minus the red snapper, I asked the waitress to have the manager come to the table so that I could voice my displeasure to them. I was told by the waitress that the manager was not in that night and was at a wedding. When I asked for any member of the managerial staff, the waitress said there was no one from the managerial staff at the restaurant, so I had no one to complain to for this disaster! I finally just asked and paid the bill and left. As we were leaving, a group from another table that had just left approached us and said they had the same issues that we did, and when they spoke with the manager, all he did for them was to give them 10% off of the bill, which is what the waitress had done for us. I told this group that we were informed that there was no manager on duty. One of the members of their group said that, from where they were seated, they saw the waitress ask the manager to speak with us, he came out of the kitchen, out of our view, then turned around and walked back into the kitchen and refused to speak with us. He must have ordered the waitress to tell us he wasn't there. When you own and operate a restaurant, your customers are placing their trust in you to feed them properly, in a timely fashion, and give you value for the hard-earned money you are spending at the establishment. Not only did they fail to even provide the basics, they absolutely ruined the birthday celebration for my brother, a moment that he and our group will never get back. It is crystal clear to me that this establishment has absolutely no business working in this industry and truly should relinquish the business immediately instead of duping people into wasting their time for their horrible food and service. We saw Google reviews that rated this restaurant well, but after visiting this hellhole, rating them one star would be giving them waaaayyyyyyy too much credit!!! I was stunned. Fresh fish, crisp tempura, perfectly sauced. Then we share the Pad Thai and Capital Tender Pork Rib. They were so concerned about my allergy that they made the Pad Thai nut free, when I mentioned peanuts were fine they brought the sauce, nuts and sesame seeds. So sweet of her. It was excellent, just what you'd want from Pad Thai without a heavy or greasy feeling. The pork was amazing! Perfect sweet and sour sauce, boneless bits and she made me steamed veggies on the side. The cocktails were delicious and significantly larger than expected. You pay for what you get and this was top quality so don't expect to pay fast food Chinese prices. This is a very very nice restaurant with excellent quality food. Almost forgot, she gave us, at no charge, an amuse bouche of deliciously pickled veggies. Last Saturday, my son suggested we stop in on a whim. He had been there prior and could not stop the praise on how good the food was. He isn't one for lavishing praise unless well deserved. We were warmly greeted by a lady who is the owner. She was a delight, and very nice to converse with. You felt as if you were a regular customer when in my case, I was there for the first time. The place is neat, clean and the interior was perfect. This can be huge deal breaker when table, seat surfaces are sticky, or just not prepped correctly, but not in this case. The music added to the mood. The monitor at the sushi station was fun to watch as the food was prepared carefully by the cook. It was an art form in its own right. With the intent of having food for lunch the next day we ordered a variety of dishes. The spicy tuna roll was the perfect balance of spiciness. The Noodle Bowl had Ribeye steak thinly sliced on the top and an egg. The soup was a delight, the flavor light and delicately balanced. The chicken pad tai with red peppers and scallions was tasty and delicious. The chicken tempura with sesame was another dish that was full flavored without out being over whemling or too strong. I was determined to make eating work with the chop sticks, although western utensils were provided. These dishes were like a spiritual experience. I have been wishing for a place that would bring the "non-Americanized" versions of a culture, and finally found it. Fusion Kitchen exists in the middle of chow mien sandwich territory (only in the greater Taunton area will you find such an abomination as this sandwich - sorry, not sorry). I can't wait to get my chow mien sandwich loving spouse to eat REAL FOOD at Fusion! The only thing I questioned was to why this place was not packed solid on a Saturday, although we were there at 4:30pm and they had just opened for business. Ok I'm really sad about writing this review. I've come to fusion a few times, ordered out all 3 times. But I wanted to give them a few tries before writing a solid review. Every time I've ordered food, the wait is so extremely long. Like 1+hours for a take out order for just me! Just this past time I ordered a maki roll and chicken pad Thai. She told me 30-40 mins. I didn't leave my house until it had been 45 mins (because I KNEW from previous occasions that it would take longer). I arrived probably 50 mins after I ordered. I still had to sit there and wait for another 15-20 mins. So for one sushi roll and one order of chicken pad Thai I waited over 1 hour and 10 mins. On the phone they said "she's pretty busy." The restaurant had one table and one couple at the bar..... whattttt?!?! The woman who took my order was so so nice and pleasant (always is). She's the only reason they have stars in my review. I sat there and watched her make "my" sushi. Mind you the pad Thai was done and wrapped up and sitting for a while. She finished the roll and to my surprise it wasn't even my roll! It was someone else's in the restaurant. So then she made mine. I ordered a dragon maki roll - shrimp tempura roll with mango on top. However all the roll had was shrimp tempura wrapped in rice. It should have had cucumber, avocado, and spicy mayo. (Super frustrating). The sushi was falling apart by the time I got home. It was so sloppy. Mango pretty much all fell off and the rice was all separating too. The sauces that should have been squirted over the top were in little containers so I had to spread it around myself (not a big deal just really annoying). And the soy sauce came in packets.. again not the biggest deal just super annoying. The sushi was honestly delicious, just so sloppy and missing essential ingredients lol. So then I tasted the chicken pad Thai. It was soggy, noodles all stuck together, and just not great. Wow. I love the fresh fruit and vegetable mango and avocado shakes. One of the lovely ladies makes them right in front of you at the bar area. Also the sushi is made where you can view them making it on a t.v. Place super clean and the service out of this world.... We ordered from Fusion when they first opened and it was very good.Classy rolls, full clumps of wasabi, and great presentation. Now, Market Basket has better sushi. Order a $34 sushi sashimi cobo and it comes with packet soy sauce and packet wasabi. The sashimi is thin pieces of terribly cut fish. No Soup, No seaweed salad included. A complete rip off. Cell service is poor so you can barely pass the time while waiting for your sushi. Based on our experience so far, I'm dreading the sushi. Must say that our waitress is very nice. I love Fusion Kitchen. After trying pretty much every Chinese restaurant in the area (both take-out and sit down), my girlfriend and I have chosen Fusion as our go to when we have a Chinese food craving. Which is at least once a week... Crab rangoon is pretty much my favorite food in the world. I have tried it from SO many different places, and Fusion is the winner. The wonton is perfectly crispy without being TOO crispy or burnt, and the filling is fluffy and delicious. It's great. I love it. I'm addicted to their chow mien. We've tried a few other things on the menu, such as the BBQ pork and chicken mien, and everything we've tried has been fabulous. The owner is INCREDIBLY friendly and accommodating. Every time we've gone she's at the bar, so if you sit at the bar she'll be sure to strike up conversation with you. She has recognized us every time we've gone in since after the first time we went there. She's really amazing. And makes killer scorpion bowls. My one and only complaint is the service. Excluding the owner, of course. There is this one waitress we keep having the displeasure of getting waited on by. When she comes up to us after we've sat, we are greeted by her asking "do you want food?". Like... what? Yeah, hi. I'm good thanks for asking. She messed up our order once, we ordered chow mein she brought out lo mein. The owner overheard us mention it and was kind enough to let us keep the lo mein and still bring out what we had actually ordered. Which was cool, because both were great. But poor service really puts a damper on my night. This waitress is just all around unpleasant. If you're in the Taunton area and looking for good Chinese, I HIGHLY recommend Fusion. I just moved to the area so naturally the first thing to do was find a good Chinese delivery place. We tried Fusion Kitchen and overall I was very pleased with them! It was affordable, delivery was prompt! The sushi was delicious and even came with a warning about how long you can keep it at room temperature and advised against keeping it overnight (safety first, kiddos!) The crab rangoons were the only reason this is four stars and not five. Too cream cheese-y but then, I'm a food snob. This is a hard spot to review because of competing extremes. On the one hand, they serve what is, with no exaggeration whatsoever, the best sushi I have ever eaten, full stop. The head chef, Desmond, is an absolute master, very entertaining if you sit at the bar, and a joy to watch. The rest of their food is very high quality, made with care from surprisingly organic ingredients. That said, one of their major issues appears to be that Desmond KNOWS how good he is- and so he will get around to your order when it pleases him. This sounds like a minor issue but calling for takeout it's not at all uncommon to be quoted a wait of 30-40 minutes, arrive on time, and wait another hour while very little appears to be happening. In fact on more than one occasion I've stood in the empty dining room for 40+ minutes with nothing to do but watch the manager beg Desmond to please, PLEASE turn some orders out. Aside from this, while the food IS very high quality, the prices are astronomical for shockingly small portions. As far as dining in, the venue is small and... could be cleaner, and the waitstaff seems perpetually confused- I hope you know how to nurse a drink because once you've placed your initial order you won't be seeing them again. This place is worth trying if you've got time to kill for the quality of the food, but it's hard to justify any repeat business. read more

The reviews are certainly accurate to an extent..restaurants are unfortunately not going to spot on 100% of the time. I placed an order, much more expensive than I wanted to spend, at 5pm for delivery. I was told over the phone that there were "a few" orders ahead of me but they'd call when they were on their way. An hour and a half goes by and still no sign of food, no calls, nothing. Call the restaurant four times before someone answers. The girl on the phone has to leave me on hold to ask around the kitchen for my food. When she gets back on the phone, she informs us it's going to be another hour or hour and a half. We're now looking at two and a half to three hours total for delivery. When a woman in the background began yelling "If they want to cancel, then tell them to cancel!", I decided to cancel the order.
