Omg, this is my FAVORITE Chinese food in this area. They are unmatched. I have to say that they have an array of items that are outstandingly and consistently good (pu pu platter, General Gau's chicken, beef teriyaki is the best I've ever had). Usually I have different Chinese restaurants that I get SPECIFIC dishes from. However, I can get everything I want here! Besides the food being delicious, their customer service is fantastic. Any time the woman who works there has a question about my online order she calls. Normally restaurants just end up giving you whatever they "THINK" you mean. I appreciate that she actually cares about my satisfaction. A menu had been delivered to our house when the new owners took over around 1/1/18. Abner and I gave it a try tonight and really enjoyed our food. We got combination dinners. I got the fried boneless chicken, beef teriyaki, rice and egg roll. Abner got the boneless spare ribs, egg foo young, rice and egg roll. Everything was delicious and lots of it too! We generally go to Hong Kong or Jade Garden in the North End, but we enjoyed our take out meal here very much. Recommend giving this try with the new owners. read more

Have always been happy with our takeout in the past but not yesterday. Barely warm food and we live two minutes away. Got a combination plate of chicken wings -fried rice- chow mein. Two tiny wings, fried rice had no flavor. Very disappointed! read more

As far as neighborhood Chinese restaurants go, this one is much better than most. They offer your standard Chinese food, as well as a small but nice selection of Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese style dishes. The Nime Chow (Vietnamese fresh spring rolls) were delicious with their light and crunchy peanut sauce. The Lettuce Wrap with pine nuts was just ok, but the pan-fried Udon with Chicken was delicious. They also offer Pad Thai, Edamame, Gyoza, Coconut Shrimp, Butter Shrimp, and Thai-style Lemongrass, Basil or Mango Chicken/Beef/Shrimp. We also had their Beef and Scallops with chinese vegetables in brown sauce and Sesame Shrimp with Broccoli (both Chef's Suggestions) which were fantastic. I would certainly order from them again. This place is under new ownership. I was at a client and saw their food and looked great.. So I made a plan to make sure I went there. When we went decided to try lunch and WOW !!! The price was very very low for the GREAT food and drink I got. we have been back about 10 times and cant say how the great the prices are for the combo plates and comes with drink and how great the food is.. Avoid this place at all cost,we placed an order to go got home to realize we were missing a combo plate so I called of course it was a battle in regards to what I ordered and I shouldn't be missing anything but I have the receipt & I paid for what I ordered but didn't get my full order..So they tell me to come back for it I couldn't so informed them they needed to bring it to us. Numerous calls back since they never delivered the item every call was they are on their way.. 2 hours went by & it still wasn't delivered. On top of that the food we did get was cold.. I hadn't ordered from Moon House in a while and now I remember why! For starters,here's a thought if your delivery guy is afraid of dogs it's probably not the best idea to have him delivering takeout orders. I ordered a Pu Pu plater for one and some steamed dumplings. Could've done without the shrimp,the crab and the overcooked ribs. Now back to the driver. Very specifically on the directions it says,"3rd floor,side door,and call first." If you have any trouble with those directions just tell me and you won't get my business anymore! This guy calls me twice and after he gets me the third time I say,"Okay. You're going to come up the stairs." Something he's done a few times,That's why I remember the dog thing!,but he outright refuses to come up. "No! You need to come down." he tells me. He's not even in the hallway. He's standing outside. Just know,Dude,that your bellyaching about not coming up resulted in you not being tipped. I'm not saying you had to come all the way up but the fact you wouldn't even meet me in the hallway? That's ridiculous! You're going to stand out in a dark yard but a well light hallway? How dare I ask you to do that! Oh,and my dog was in the house,in another room,completely away from having any chance of encountering you at all! Not to mention she's extremely well-behaved. The food is okay - it depends on the cook. I've ordered from them four times already and it always tastes different. I order delivery, and believe me, every time I do, I get a certain price; only for the delivery man to demand one or two dollars more and refuse to give me my food if I don't pay the extra. (Mind you, I pay the delivery amount AND tax amount on the website, they just ask for more.) When I ask why, he rudely glared at me and went, "Oh my God, this is your bill!" And quickly flashed me with a receipt. Never in my life have I been so disrespected for no reason. I'm ordering from YOU, buddy, I'm the one adding to YOUR pay.
