Boiled Chicken

Truly disappointed. Don't get the chicken or the pad thai. Felt gross after eating it that bad.

Best bang for the buck Chinese food in the area hands down! Nom!
Pete N.

Great family operated local chinese food restaurant where the containers are always overflowing and the food is never over cooked and dried out like everywhere else. You won't choke and cut your mouth on over fried chicken fingers here!(Quan's ) My kids are pretty picky when it comes to Chinese food and they love this place, enough said!

Since I started a job last year in Canton I've had a chance to try out most of the Asian…read morerestaurants on 138 from Canton to Stoughton for lunch. I tried this place last because when I drive by it seems that nobody parks at the restaurants parking lot at any time, noon, 1pm, 2pm or 3pm seems to be void of any business. The restaurant is situated in the Stop n Shop plaza on 138 but a good distance away from the Stop N Shop parking spots, so even two cars in the lot makes it seem empty compared to the Stop n Shop parking lot. This is MY FAVORITE Chinese lunch destination for a good lunch and it's price. The food has been great, I think the fried rice is the best around. I usually order off the lunch menu for $6.95 to $7.95 the plates are fully loaded with your dish, enough for lunch. I usually eat a chicken or vegi dish because I can't eat meat from a cow. They also have a $8.95 dish and appetizer you can pick for lunch or din also a good amount of food. The aps I've had, I've enjoyed (Scallion Pancake, spring roll, pork, fried chicken, fried shrimp)They provide you with tea and water as well. The waitress and the owner/cook have always been friendly, during the holidays the waitress gave out some really nice Asian bamboo calenders. I've brought a co-worker who went back a second time because he was impressed that he didn't feel sick after eating which usually Chinese will do to him. The second time he was not happy with the crab-rangoons which I haven't had. The decor has actually made people get up and leave before trying the food. I witnessed this one day at lunch. Let me say something about the inside. Some of the booths could be updated but really I think it's got a lot of charm for such a large place. In the ceiling instead of just plain drop ceiling panels they have unique Asian motif ceiling panels. I usually am seated in the same spot every time I visit so I can't say what the rest of the place is like on the inside! I hope they get more take out orders and have a larger crowd on the weekends or at night but I don't know because I'm not in town at night. I've seen people in the restaurant eating, groups of 4 or more as small as 1. I've seen take out go out as well. However I have a late lunch usually 2pm so that's got to be a slower time. I guess the best way to explain this is to say: If you looking for a sit down, inexpensive place for lunch you should try it out. It's better then McDonald's for you you and it's less expensive. The Chicken dishes I have had have all been good. It's relaxing, good food and doesn't hurt the wallet!

I do not recommend this place for anyone there food suck and there scallion pancakes are hard as…read morerocks the sauce that goes with it smells spoiled and it seems they give you leftover food when you order it's not worth it spend your money elsewhere they don't have great customer service and they ask to much personal questions and there plates are small and cost 20 each plate i spent over 50 dollars for garbage that me or my kids didn't eat because of the food being nasty I'm only gave one star because there is no option to give none

Just had dinner their Sunday night. What a treat ! Best ribs on the bone and wonton soup. Don't…read moremiss the chicken scrolls too. I had read some poor reviews , but don't listen to the negative stuff or you'll really miss out. Can't wait to go back.

Went back for a dinner a year after the big "under new management" change. Interesting findings…read more -- Egg Rolls: A little small, a little dry, but nicely crisp, old school celery filling, and VERY intense BBQ pork flavor inside. Almost like a pork bun. A little above average thanks to the flavor. -- Chinatown Ribs: Not available when they first did the new management thing, but their signature babybacks are back, at least as a special. A different cut from the spares, these are a little pricey at $28, and odd cutting-- some wide, some narrow-- but very thick (2" in spots) and very juicy. Just enough glaze, and thankfully not all over the cross sections, because these fresh-cooked ribs have nothing to hide and need no crutch (I'm looking at you, Jasmine Garden). Very pleasant flavor. Near-elite. -- Yu Hsiang Beef (on a combo): Yes, they do dinner combos. The beef was very tender, with pleasant spicy flavor and sweetness to balance it out. It seems the sweetness is a new twist; I preferred the version I had twice a year ago that was much more spicy and savory, but this was good. Nice assortment of peppers and wood ear mushrooms. Above average. -- Spareribs (on a combo): Had to try these too. These changed a little from a year ago (previously near-elite once and elite once)-- not as thick and no scoring of the surface. Delicious glaze, but dry and probably a reheat. Will definitely get these again, but as a full order, not as extras plopped onto a combo. A little below average, but still some good signs. -- Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): Dry. Muted flavor. Below average. -- General Gau's Chicken: Very crispy and staying crispy throughout the meal, these flattened, bumpy mini cutlets had quality chicken, good tenderness, and a complex sauce mixing heat into the sweet the way the General is supposed to but which most don't. Caramelly delicious. Near-elite to elite. Some bumps in the road still, but still plenty to like.
