Receipt 15,70 for beef teriyaki appetizer high price
    Jay M.

Stopped in for lunch. Had garlic chicken lunch special with chicken fingers, egg drop soup. Ordered a beef teriyaki appetizer. Chicken garlic ... most much chicken in dish Egg drop soup ok, not good, not bad Dish came with 2 chicken wings instead of chicken fingers ordered? Chicken wings awful and tasted the previous frozen ones I buy in a bag ... breading awful. Beef teriyaki was five small pieces for 15.70... pricey. Beef overcooked, tough, not much flavor. Waitress pleasant, restaurant clean and neat. I dont see I'll visit again as food not what I expect.

We've had hit or miss on local Chinese takeout lately. It's been kind of depressing. Alice's was brought up last week. Way, way back I used to buy baseball cards at a nearby shop and I would grab lunch there. It was always good. For the life of me I don't know why we haven't been back, I was glad to see that we're within delivery range, so we made a nice order. And I will say the food traveled well. Based on positive Yelp talk we got an order of crab rangoon. It's one of my favorites and when done right the crispiness gives way to the inner cream cheese belly and simply melts in your mouth. Loved the crispy hybrid egg roll / spring roll. They'd be awesome with a couple beers watching football, Beef with mushrooms was killer, lotta, lotta shrooms and General Gau's while not spicy was great as well. The plump coated chicken was plentiful! Last dish was a Szechwan chicken not too spicey but that was good. Often taken for granted the fried rice was also really good. The 3 of us agreed this was a 5-star experience and we will continue ordering from Alices restaurant. By the way delivery was quoted 30 minutes and was actually a bit faster insuring everything was hot n crispy and yummy! And for what its worth appreciated the extra fortune cookies!

Yikes. Very inappropriate name for a cocktail. This is disappointing to say the least.

I heard from a friend that this restaurant is quite tasty, so I tried it today and it tasted really good, very authentic, large portions. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the waiters were very nice. Will recommend to other friends next time too.

The taste is really good, and friends like to eat it. Today I was lucky, I went without queuing, and there were a lot of people after sitting down.

First time here and extremely disappointed. The portion size, price, and quality all deserve 2 stars. $20 for a dinner combo place of general gau chicken with 2 beef teriyaki sticks ? Maybe 6-7 pieces of chicken- not worth the money. The quality was not up to par either. Won't be returning.

It is a gem in Sharon. I liked the food. It was obviously made by fresh ingredients and wasn't overly cooked or spiced. The food had the right level of condiments without being greasy, surgery or salty. The service was also nice and quick. I will definitely go there again.

Pork lo mein, mongolian beef, cha su buns were all SO GOOD

Great variety of dishes, appetizers include soup dumplings, which are yummy. If you live in Sharon, Alice's is worth checking out.

Long time Sharon establishment. But the food is only mediocre. Everything we had was just so so. Too sweet, not crispy, just not flavorful.

Went back for a dinner a year after the big "under new management" change. Interesting findings…read more -- Egg Rolls: A little small, a little dry, but nicely crisp, old school celery filling, and VERY intense BBQ pork flavor inside. Almost like a pork bun. A little above average thanks to the flavor. -- Chinatown Ribs: Not available when they first did the new management thing, but their signature babybacks are back, at least as a special. A different cut from the spares, these are a little pricey at $28, and odd cutting-- some wide, some narrow-- but very thick (2" in spots) and very juicy. Just enough glaze, and thankfully not all over the cross sections, because these fresh-cooked ribs have nothing to hide and need no crutch (I'm looking at you, Jasmine Garden). Very pleasant flavor. Near-elite. -- Yu Hsiang Beef (on a combo): Yes, they do dinner combos. The beef was very tender, with pleasant spicy flavor and sweetness to balance it out. It seems the sweetness is a new twist; I preferred the version I had twice a year ago that was much more spicy and savory, but this was good. Nice assortment of peppers and wood ear mushrooms. Above average. -- Spareribs (on a combo): Had to try these too. These changed a little from a year ago (previously near-elite once and elite once)-- not as thick and no scoring of the surface. Delicious glaze, but dry and probably a reheat. Will definitely get these again, but as a full order, not as extras plopped onto a combo. A little below average, but still some good signs. -- Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): Dry. Muted flavor. Below average. -- General Gau's Chicken: Very crispy and staying crispy throughout the meal, these flattened, bumpy mini cutlets had quality chicken, good tenderness, and a complex sauce mixing heat into the sweet the way the General is supposed to but which most don't. Caramelly delicious. Near-elite to elite. Some bumps in the road still, but still plenty to like.

First impression, this is a large restaurant, very clean and modern with a nice long bar, The lunch specials are 12.50 - 13.50 or so. Not bad. What you get is the main dish and either fried or white rice only. No appetizer and no soup but that's fine, it's lunch and I just need to eat a normal portion of a tasty dish and that is what we got. My buddy got Yu Hsaing beef and hot n sour soup. I tasted the dish and it was delicious especially the mushrooms that had absorbed the mildly spicy yet savory sauce. I got Three Delights which was fine though I believe the shrimp was frozen and understandable as I imagine fresh deliveries were held up due to a paralyzing snowstorm. One minor complaint had to ask for duck sauce and had to ask for tea and was in fact charged for the cup of tea 1.75 I believe. Waiter nice guy, thought funny he was using the universal belt LOL it was probably a size 40 belt and he was a skinny guy maybe a 30 waist, so it did look odd. With the tip was 43 bucks, a bit more than what I like to spend at lunch, but it was a relaxing time. On the way out had a chat with I believe the owner or maybe manager very nice guy. I will come back.

My 93 year old dining companion has been lamenting he has not had good Chinese in awhile and I was trying to remedy that! Parking lot is small and the signage on the street can be tricky as well but we found it and I am so glad we did! Decent size menu and we were having trouble deciding what to get and we didn't want a ton of leftovers. I noticed a page with lunch special and it didn't say Monday - Friday only (I was there on a Saturday) so I asked - specials are good 7 days a week! Perfect I chose string beans, pork fried rice and beef teriyaki. Dining companion got shrimp with veggies, pork fried rice and fried shrimp Food came out piping hot which I love. Serving size was generous as well. My string beans had a delicious sauce laced with ginger and was very tasty! Pork fried rice was delicious and my teriyaki was very tender. On entering we were greeted by our server John there was no wait time so we were seated right away. We ordered pina coladas we did want them frozen but I can't recall if they didn't have them frozen or the mixer was broken but never the less they were perfect, I can't recall. I appreciate when a restaurant add just enough alcohol to where you don't feel like you are paying alcohol prices for something that tastes like a mocktail. We ordered a special dinner plate as we had just missed the lunch special but even so the prices were reasonable. Our meals were good and nicely portioned. They do have a bar where you can grab a drink and food. There was a tv at the bar and one near the dining area. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Finally I did notice they have regular customers and the owners know them by name. That says a-lot for a place. All around a good experience if you're looking for a place to drop in and grab a quick meal.
