Excellent food. I have been to their other location in Framingham and it's equally as good if not better. I got the sweet and sour chicken lunch. Not a big fan but I wanted to try it; usually I get the tangerine chicken which is always fantastic. Hot and sour soup was decent and used fresh veggies. Looking f it reward to coming back. read more

We had a great meal here. Arrived just before the dinner rush. We were given tea and water immediately and our order was taken right away. Even after the table started filling up the service was prompt. My husband ordered the spicy pork intestines. He was so happy. He cleaned his plate. The waitress came by to see how we were and was like "oh I see you are enjoying!" . It has the Sichuan pepper corns red chilis and long strips or ginger and green beans. I got the chicken with asparagus and it said it was in a special sauce. It was sweet and had red and green bell peppers too. A tasty meal. The restaurant was sit down but relatively casual. Our seat was right next to the heat vent so I got a little warm at one point but not so bad. My husband will absolutely want to come back. read more

For spicy, authentic Szechuan Chinese food, this is the spot. The food is always good. The waitress is nice and very friendly .

Some of the food very good, but spicy, it's from Sichuan China. And small dishes are incredibly fresh, worth to try. The service over all is good. But can be better haha . It's easy to getting to a line, hopefully you guys hVe big table for big party. Thanks read more

Wow, another great Chinese restaurant in the area! Highly recommend it! I came here for the lunch special. I placed the order via phone and was quoted a 15-minute wait time. It's "not cheap" but reasonably priced! When I first got it, I was a little disappointed by the portion size from the outside. Once I started the meal, the food actually was very filling. The flavors are great, super authentic! I personally liked the crab Rangoon, super crispy! The vegetable fried rice is too greasy, but still good! You can also order online and just pay an extra $2 convenience fee. They are closed on Tuesdays. It has plenty of free parking in front of the store. Will definitely be back again! read more

Food quality todate is not what it used to be. The eggplant with basil was bland and had too much raw basil. The fried chicken wings were cut weirdly. read more

Been going here for years it's about time I wrote a review. The food here is great. It's the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Right up there with Shabu Lee in Norwood and Tsang's in Hanover/Duxbury. We usually get crab rangoons, cashew chicken and Lo Mein. The soup is also great. read more

After many years of searching for decent Chinese food across many towns in the South Shore, I've finally stumbled into what I believe to be one of, if not the best Chinese restaurant in the area. They have a full-service bar, an extension menu of daily specials and, best of all, their food isn't super greasy or Americanized. Sure, you'll still find some options like General Tso's and the likes, but for the most part, the menu leans more towards the Southwestern region of Sichuan and its numerous spicy dishes. Their Dan Dan noodles for example are a great showcase of that very region and make for a tasty way to start your meal. Definitely do not be afraid to ask for recommendations as well, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has no patio or outdoor seating but a decently sized dining room. There's plenty of parking and they do a ton of takeout business as well. All in all, this place is our go-to for the area and we look forward to many more meals there in the future. read more

Was looking forward to the Tangerine Crispy Beef, and although the sauce was very good, the beef itself was so tough that it was unchewable. Same with the Sesame Chicken. The Cashew Chicken tasted overcooked to me. Service was okay, but it took so long to get the check we had to get up to find the waitress. read more

Sharon location. Hugely disappointed. Ordered the lamb cumin, dried beef and dumplings. I have been here six or seven times in years past. I ordered schuian hot. This is the highest heat level. But what I received were entrées with absolutely no spice at all. Unfortunately, it was takeout and I couldn't return it. I was staying an hour away. Two stars because the meat was decent but i can cook it myself the way they made it. I wanted authentic, spicy schuian. When I say authentic hot, I don't mean no heat! read more

Sichuan Gourmet has American Chinese dishes and a lot that are more authentic. From Teriyaki to Blood Soup. Both are delicious! I very much like their Hot and Sour Soup. Nice complex flavors with a very healthy kick. Their Steamed Pork is absolutely amazing. The Kung Bao Chicken is full of heat with a really nice bite. The Cold Woodear Mushroom appetizer is delicious! Their Dan Dan Noodles are also delicious! I really liked their Beef Teriyaki as well as their Wings. If you want more than just ordinary Chinese food, this is your place. I also really enjoy their Framingham location. Both restaurants are very clean and the staff are friendly. read more

I have been to Sichuan Gourmet a couple of times in the past and remember liking it. Today it didn't hit quite hit the spot. We decided to go here impromptu. We decided to skip apps and go straight to main meal. Ordered rice noodles with vegetables and whole fish with tofu in spicy sauce. The rice noodles were delicious but the fish was really bland. The tofu was better. We also ordered scallion pancakes, fried rice and general tso's chicken to go. The scallion pancakes were under-done, the inside was very doughy, the fried rice and chicken dish were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. Hoping it was one off day. Will be giving Sichuan Gourmet another chance. read more

Ok, so I decided to return here and try some more dishes. I liked what I got a little better this time around. We got Yu Xiang Chicken and Fish Fillets with Basil as entrees. I found portions to be decent sized and both entrees were tasty. I have to say again that the differences in taste between the sauces used in the two dishes were rather subtle. Something I experienced last time. It may be that both dishes share several of the same spices. For appetizers we got Sichuan Cold Noodles in White Sauce and Bamboo Shoots in Spicy Wonder Sauce. The taste of the white sauce was a little hard to discern, so this app. didn't particularly stand out. However, I loved the Bamboo Shoots in Wonder Sauce. Since they didn't skimp on portion size and were generous enough with the ingredients and since what we got was tasty, I'm upgrading this restaurant to a 4 star. One thing to be aware of, when I phoned in the order, they told me they were including a single order of rice for free. They were clear on that. Totaling all that we ordered, it should have rung up as $45.35. They actually charged $50.40 - well beyond what it should have been including the state meal tax. Either they don't update the prices on their website, or they screwed up in some other way. I left a tip anyway, but they should straighten out their pricing. read more

I dislike leaving low reviews for local business but gotta say my piece here because it's way too pricey for what this place offers, stick to their lunch specials only. $65 for 2 entrees, a pu pu platter, and 2 sides of brown rice. Way too steep for Chinese food. Wanted to try this because we heard good things and the reviews online are great. The Boston suburb food scene is so subpar it's just sad. I'm not sure why Boston doesn't attract the quality of chef that Providence and NYC do. I digress. Pu Pu Platter: - The spare ribs and rangoons were the best part, the rest was too breaded and was fine. Sesame Chicken: - Very meh, too fried and the broccoli wasn't that fresh Lo Mein: - Meh as well, it was your run-of-the-mill average lo mein, nothing special. Brown Rice: - it's brown rice, but the fact they charged $10 for 2 peoples worth of rice is ludacris, we asked for 1 large, they gave us 2 smalls, menu prices are not correct. I'm done with Chinese food, it's been disappointing me for the past 10 years. Def won't be ordering here again. Maybe there are some good dishes, but it's not for me. read more

This is one of the worst chinese restaurants I've ever been to. I eat a lot of chinese food and I know good chinese food when I taste it. I had hot and sour soup-tasteless and nothing in it. The dishes are VERY expensive Also, Manager could care less when I complained. read more

The food is okay around the great Boston area. Compared to other Chinese restaurants, it provides authentic Chinese food, but there is still room for improvement in terms of taste and cooking styles. Their lunch specials are good and quick, which makes it an awesome to-go place if you live locally. For dinners, you may check out other Sichuan-style restaurants near Burlington mall, which are definitely more popular and tasty. read more

Service was great. Food was tasty. The prices were a bit steep, but that's the norm.

Sichuan Gourmet does great, authentic Sichuan food, which is usually pretty spicy but very flavorful. Highly recommend the classics like spicy fish filets with napa cabbage, stir fried green beans, steamed bacon with garlic, kung pao chicken, and twice cooked pork. They also have pretty good Chinese-American dishes such as sesame chicken or General Tso's chicken. They have very affordable lunch specials during the weekdays. Great for dine in as well as very fast usually for takeout. read more

The quality of the food is better than any place around. From appetizers to entrees this restaurant is THE BEST!

This is where I go for authentic and spicy Chinese, I actually wish their spicy levels were spicier (the staff is really nice and you can always ask for some chili sauce). Some of the dishes we always like to order: Spicy beef noodle soup, Twice sauted/cooked bacon (回鍋肉），Yu Hsiang sauce eggplant, and a spicy thinly sliced beef appetizer (forgot name). All the food comes out perfectly cooked and pretty fast which really shows that the cooks know how to handle high heat and spices and everything. Place is clean and there are two large tables to accommodate for large parties, rest are comfy booths. Nice large parking lot, this restaurant is in a strip mall and is part of a chain but the staff here are a lot more attentive than the one in Brookline/Boston. read more

This place has the best Kung Pao chicken I have had in the US- the complexity of flavors is just amazing- the way it's supposed to be- not the watered down, drowned in sugar mess you get everywhere else. So far, I haven't come across a single dish I haven't loved, and we've been eating here for the last 11 years. That says something about the consistency of the food.
