Wow, another great Chinese restaurant in the area! Highly recommend it! I came here for the lunch special. I placed the order via phone and was quoted a 15-minute wait time. It's "not cheap" but reasonably priced! When I first got it, I was a little disappointed by the portion size from the outside. Once I started the meal, the food actually was very filling. The flavors are great, super authentic! I personally liked the crab Rangoon, super crispy! The vegetable fried rice is too greasy, but still good! You can also order online and just pay an extra $2 convenience fee. They are closed on Tuesdays. It has plenty of free parking in front of the store. Will definitely be back again!

After many years of searching for decent Chinese food across many towns in the South Shore, I've finally stumbled into what I believe to be one of, if not the best Chinese restaurant in the area. They have a full-service bar, an extension menu of daily specials and, best of all, their food isn't super greasy or Americanized. Sure, you'll still find some options like General Tso's and the likes, but for the most part, the menu leans more towards the Southwestern region of Sichuan and its numerous spicy dishes. Their Dan Dan noodles for example are a great showcase of that very region and make for a tasty way to start your meal. Definitely do not be afraid to ask for recommendations as well, the staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has no patio or outdoor seating but a decently sized dining room. There's plenty of parking and they do a ton of takeout business as well. All in all, this place is our go-to for the area and we look forward to many more meals there in the future.

Sharon location. Hugely disappointed. Ordered the lamb cumin, dried beef and dumplings. I have been here six or seven times in years past. I ordered schuian hot. This is the highest heat level. But what I received were entrées with absolutely no spice at all. Unfortunately, it was takeout and I couldn't return it. I was staying an hour away. Two stars because the meat was decent but i can cook it myself the way they made it. I wanted authentic, spicy schuian. When I say authentic hot, I don't mean no heat!

I have been to Sichuan Gourmet a couple of times in the past and remember liking it. Today it didn't hit quite hit the spot. We decided to go here impromptu. We decided to skip apps and go straight to main meal. Ordered rice noodles with vegetables and whole fish with tofu in spicy sauce. The rice noodles were delicious but the fish was really bland. The tofu was better. We also ordered scallion pancakes, fried rice and general tso's chicken to go. The scallion pancakes were under-done, the inside was very doughy, the fried rice and chicken dish were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. Hoping it was one off day. Will be giving Sichuan Gourmet another chance.

Dry fish, a wonderful specialty here!

Such an excellent Sichuan restaurant. Quite authentic, my Chinese friends tell me. This place takes pride in the quality of their food and the wonderful "ma" flavor that's so closely associated with Sichuan cuisine. A great choice.

Ok, so I decided to return here and try some more dishes. I liked what I got a little better this time around. We got Yu Xiang Chicken and Fish Fillets with Basil as entrees. I found portions to be decent sized and both entrees were tasty. I have to say again that the differences in taste between the sauces used in the two dishes were rather subtle. Something I experienced last time. It may be that both dishes share several of the same spices. For appetizers we got Sichuan Cold Noodles in White Sauce and Bamboo Shoots in Spicy Wonder Sauce. The taste of the white sauce was a little hard to discern, so this app. didn't particularly stand out. However, I loved the Bamboo Shoots in Wonder Sauce. Since they didn't skimp on portion size and were generous enough with the ingredients and since what we got was tasty, I'm upgrading this restaurant to a 4 star. One thing to be aware of, when I phoned in the order, they told me they were including a single order of rice for free. They were clear on that. Totaling all that we ordered, it should have rung up as $45.35. They actually charged $50.40 - well beyond what it should have been including the state meal tax. Either they don't update the prices on their website, or they screwed up in some other way. I left a tip anyway, but they should straighten out their pricing.

A little above average thanks to the flavor. -- Chinatown Ribs: Not available when they first did the new management thing, but their signature babybacks are back, at least as a special. A different cut from the spares, these are a little pricey at $28, and odd cutting-- some wide, some narrow-- but very thick (2" in spots) and very juicy. Just enough glaze, and thankfully not all over the cross sections, because these fresh-cooked ribs have nothing to hide and need no crutch (I'm looking at you, Jasmine Garden). Very pleasant flavor. Near-elite. -- Yu Hsiang Beef (on a combo): Yes, they do dinner combos. The beef was very tender, with pleasant spicy flavor and sweetness to balance it out. It seems the sweetness is a new twist; I preferred the version I had twice a year ago that was much more spicy and savory, but this was good. Nice assortment of peppers and wood ear mushrooms. Above average. -- Spareribs (on a combo): Had to try these too. These changed a little from a year ago (previously near-elite once and elite once)-- not as thick and no scoring of the surface. Delicious glaze, but dry and probably a reheat. Will definitely get these again, but as a full order, not as extras plopped onto a combo. A little below average, but still some good signs. -- Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): Dry. Muted flavor. Below average. -- General Gau's Chicken: Very crispy and staying crispy throughout the meal, these flattened, bumpy mini cutlets had quality chicken, good tenderness, and a complex sauce mixing heat into the sweet the way the General is supposed to but which most don't. Caramelly delicious. Near-elite to elite. Some bumps in the road still, but still plenty to like.

First impression, this is a large restaurant, very clean and modern with a nice long bar, The lunch specials are 12.50 - 13.50 or so. Not bad. What you get is the main dish and either fried or white rice only. No appetizer and no soup but that's fine, it's lunch and I just need to eat a normal portion of a tasty dish and that is what we got. My buddy got Yu Hsaing beef and hot n sour soup. I tasted the dish and it was delicious especially the mushrooms that had absorbed the mildly spicy yet savory sauce. I got Three Delights which was fine though I believe the shrimp was frozen and understandable as I imagine fresh deliveries were held up due to a paralyzing snowstorm. One minor complaint had to ask for duck sauce and had to ask for tea and was in fact charged for the cup of tea 1.75 I believe. Waiter nice guy, thought funny he was using the universal belt LOL it was probably a size 40 belt and he was a skinny guy maybe a 30 waist, so it did look odd. With the tip was 43 bucks, a bit more than what I like to spend at lunch, but it was a relaxing time. On the way out had a chat with I believe the owner or maybe manager very nice guy. I will come back.
