Absolutely. I would make the price versus portion issue more prominent. Hang Tai Too in Medway was just okay for me. The restaurant itself is nice and the food was decent, but compared with some of the other Chinese food options around the area, it really did not stand out. One thing I did not like was the lack of dinner combination plates. They have lunch combinations, but apparently you cannot even pay a few extra dollars to order one at dinner. Instead, you have to order everything separately at full price, which makes the bill add up very quickly. The prices are also pretty steep considering the small amount of food you actually get. The entrees were surprisingly small, and even the chicken fingers were much smaller than what I am used to getting at other Chinese restaurants. When you are paying full dinner prices for every individual item, I expect much better portions and overall value. Overall, Hang Tai Too is not bad. The place is nice and the food is decent, but between the steep prices, small portions, and lack of dinner combination options, the value just is not there for me. I was in the Medway area last month and stopped in for a quick bite and and drink I sat at the bar and had the salt & pepper shrimp which was excellent, large shrimp seasoned perfectly. And a large Mai Tai - (they offer 2 sizes if you know about that) My shrimp was so tasty that I came back this month and sat at the bar and had a lunch special Hunan beef - with mushrooms and red peppers in a spicy sauce with lo mein and two crab Rangoons This was another great dish The quality of food is better than most other places that I have had Chinese food from If you haven't been to Hang Tai you should give them a try ! Stopped in for lunch on 07/30/2025. Food was great. The owner, Danny, and his staff provide great and prompt service. The lunch specials were filling and tasty. Ambiance was quiet. I've been eating here for years (particularly the old Franklin location, now closed) and I have never had a bad meal here. read more

Hang Tai Too on a mid-Saturday afternoon was not very busy and a good time for me and my husband to take my mother-in-law and sister-in-law for a late lunch. It was Phase 2 of the COVID 19 reopening so dining indoors was allowed. Five tables and 3 booths were available. Our waitperson wore a mask and gloves and the tables appeared to be sanitized. We ordered spicy beef on green beans and udon noodles with pork which were both delicious. We also ordered crispy lemon chicken and a PuPu platter for two. The lemon chicken tasted ok but was tough. The platter was ok but forgettable. Egg rolls texture was not crunchy and flaky, doused in soy sauce made them tasty ok. The boneless ribs were tough and chewy. Fried chicken wings and cream cheese wontons were dry. The only things enjoyable were the beef skewers. Service was attentive. We'll be back, but stick with what we know is good. read more

Sure, their cocktails are tasty, but if you like shrimp, you must try the garlic minced shrimp, I can't stay away from those. Dumplings addictive , and Kung Pao anything and twice cooked pork very tasty. Service always polite and efficient. Teriyaki yummy too. I just like the place. Try a scorpion bowl. read more

We ordered from Hang Tai Too for Mother's Day. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The Aromatic Crispy Beef was SO salty that I couldn't take more than a slight taste. Threw the whole thing away. The Chicken Lo Mein has no chicken in it and the egg roll had 90% cabbage and barely anything else. I'll never order from there again. It was a waste of $80. read more

What a surprise. The food was delicious, large portions and reasonable prices. What more do you need. The order was even perfect-- nothing left out. I don't generally write bad reviews, but hoping this helps someone make a decision and maybe the restaurant increase quality control. Ordered here for the first time , take out, and some items we don't generally get when we order takeout. The crispy beef was soggy and gummy, nothing crispy about it. The Peking special sauce noodles came in a Tupperware with plain noodles at the base and a cup full of sauce over the top like a floater, which we had to come home and mix up. Once mixed, it was pretty flavorless. The peanut butter sauce dumplings were fair. The chicken wings were dry, bland, and fairly skimpy in the meat volume. An absolute favorite of mine. Great selection, all freshly prepared and always delicious. I have many favorites but the one dish I have more than others is the Blossom Basket. A combination of chicken, pork, large shrimps, scallops and beef all sautéed in a combination of vegetables and everything mixed in a savory brown sauce that is mouth watering. So between the last time I was here and my most current time has been over a year but in that time the changes have been drastic! I bought my usual order of a pupu and general tso chicken , once I received my bag of food for takeout I said to the person it's all in here and checked inside and giggled at there new portion size dont go here if you are hungry!!!! The pupu platter was the smallest one I've ever had the pupu for 2 was about what I normally get when I get a one person size. And the general tso chicken for 14.95 ur paying $1.00 per piece of chicken yes it was that small we counted 4 pieces of broccoli and 15 pieces of chicken probably equal to 1 chicken thigh. Food was still delicious like I remember but I had to order a pizza after we finished off the chinese food it was literally enough for 1 person and no where near worth the $35-$40. Crab Rangoon had no filling at all Mayne a small spec in each. Will not be coming back here sadly even tho the food is tasty it's not worth it. Not a great time....... This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with restaurant staff in any capacity. I came here on a Wednesday night with a date. After looking around for a few minutes looking for someone to seat us, we were led to a far corner table closest to where the kitchen staff come and go. When we attempted to order drinks, both of us produced valid MA driver's licenses. The waitress went around the corner and examined them both for about six minutes before returning and asking us both for further identification. I provided a MA LTC, and that was examined for an additional five minutes and was shown to several other staff members. Eventually we were both served our drinks and we placed our order. After about fifteen minutes, I caught the eye of our server and asked for another drink. She eyed the small sip I had left in the bottom of my glass, and said I needed to finish what I had in my glass first. From this point forward we began to refer to her as "Waitress Mom." Waitress Mom assumed an over watch position of my table, and made conversation uncomfortable for a few minutes until it was time to bring out the food. At this point I again requested my 2nd drink, which was denied. Mom looked at me funny and asked if I had ever been here before. When I told her I hadn't I asked if it was some sort of policy that they only served first timers one drink. She said "yes" and walked away. When I attempted to go the bar and order it myself, Waitress mom followed me there and yelled something over my shoulder in Chinese. I eventually got my beer but it was pretty tough to keep my composure. The worst part about this whole situation is that the food was actually pretty good! If the service has been just a little better I would consider getting takeout there some time. Unfortunately, I can't see continuing to support this business in any way. It's average Chinese American cuisine, average drinks, and average atmosphere. Can't rule out the fact that we popped in on a Sunday night but regardless, I'm not sure how much more popping it can get in there. We recently moved to the stix from Newton and of course, needed to find: Pizza and Chinese food. Hang Tai Too has won us over BIG TIME! The prices are very reasonable, the staff are pleasant, funny, reliable and gracious. The food, contrary to that "Bozo" from Holliston, is amazing! My wife has the Duck a lot and she always loves it and won't share it with me. The Mongolian Beef is incredible, the Boneless Spare Ribs are succulent and juicy and always cooked perfectly and... if we get take out Ribs, we fight over them when we get them home. There's a saying in the restaurant/ hospitality industry and it was created for people like alan m. from Holliston.... "there's just no pleasing some people!" I imagine he has a problem with just about every place he goes, and why does he keep going back??? I digress, try a Mai Tai too but be warned... they're delicious and potent:D read more

We asked for extra mustard and duck sauce. I think that they misunderstood me and gave me only half full containers, one each. The fortune cookies were old and mushy. This restaurant is just another average American Chinese takeout joint server food that just doesnt stand out. They offer peking duck, i asked if it was real peking duck and was told yes, when I got it home it was not peking duck, it was a semi boned half duck that is precooked and frozen that you see in alot of asian restaurants. The duck when purchased is already cooked so when reheated it comes out dry and flavorless, also the homemade pancakes were flour tortillas that they probably picked up from Shaws next door. The pupu platter was also dissapointing, you could tell that the oil was not clean or old everything had that flavor. Lasly the several entrees we ordered were not great, the meat was charred and the vegetables were raw. We have gotten food from here in the past several times and it was okay but this time the food was not even edible, unfortunatelty I would not recommend this restaurant. read more
