Crab rangoons. Better than last time. Barely any crab though.
Patrick M.

This place is pretty decent. They have a room for dining in but I got takeout. I went in to order and the lady at the counter was very nice. She said it would be about 15 minutes but it actually took 30. I got crab rangoons, pineapple fried rice, egg roll, spring roll and D16 which is orange chicken and pork fried rice. The egg roll wasn't that good and the spring roll was ok. The crab rangoons were pretty good but seriously lacking crab. What was surprisingly disappointing was the pineapple fried rice. It barely had any chicken or onions and they don't put cashews in it. Also it had a very dull one sided flavor to it. Now on to the orange chicken. The orange chicken was sweet, had a bit of an orange flavor and a hint of spicy. The chicken itself was pretty decent but some of the pieces definitely could have been crunchier. Last was the pork fried rice. It had a good flavor but was undercooked. One more thing, the hot oil. It's extremely spicy. This is a place I'd probably go to once or twice a year but not regularly.

The start of sweet and sour chicken. This was a combo plate... it was terrific!!

Read great reviews on a local board, thought I would give it a try. Wow! Friendly staff, fresh food, great portions. Prices exceptionally reasonable ... all around HIGHLY recommended!

Pupu platter for 1

I'm so glad to find out they open back up for indoor seating and eating. I always find is never a busy place was just night was busy because it's Thanksgiving weekend and people were home to visit the family. We what is the house fried rice and a Pupu platter for one which ended up being perfect for the two of us I took my honey out that he eat after raving about the food from before Covid and when I will get back before the restaurants closing because of Covid. This night like before they had two people to diamond one waiter who is also the bartender who also took the autism phone in the main room for takeout and then there was one lady was doing the tea pots in the beverages and serving and then one for us in the kitchen cooking unfortunately this time the house fried rice came out cold and I didn't send it back but I figure they were busy because of COVID. The pupu platter everything was hot and fresh the egg roll was a little overcooked it was fresh inside to see wrapper was over cooked. Though. I would definitely go back there again to take my other half for dinner because I'm figuring that even if Cove it is still going on things will be different when it's not so busy in the restaurant.

They were so accommodating adapting to food allergies for my wife and myself. The gentleman we spoke to spent 25 minutes on the phone helping us build our own custom #gluten-free meal options. We were also pleasantly surprised to know that they are currently working on a gluten-free menu! We love this place than

We called in and picked it up ourselves . I was dismayed though when I looked at the receipt - they are charging either 2 or 3.5 percent takeout fee - this frosts my buttons. The packaging on the food items was minimal- would have been the same I'm sure if we dined with n - so we were charged for putting it in a paper bag and being handed through a window? Much less work than if all of us ate there - you would have had to clear and wipe tables I'm curious if there is a done in fee as well - based on the fee I would consider not going here - we did a rather large order for 6 people and the fees add up

We placed our order at the window: * Sea Scallop Plate - $28.95 * Fish Filet Sandwich - (haddock) $9.50 That came to about $41 with tax, and they only accept cash. They have an ATM on the side of the building in case you're a crazy person who typically pays by credit card or phone app! We grabbed a shady spot at one of their many picnic tables. George's has plenty of seating, and a play area for children, both are very nice. They are dog friendly which is also great. Our food order was ready quickly. I carried the tray over to our table. We started by tasty some fries, which were hot and relatively crispy. And that's the best thing we could say about our lunch. The sea scallops were relatively small, and a little dry. The fish portion inside of a hamburger bun was tiny, my co-diner said the amount of fish was a joke. About a month ago we dined at Juicy Seafood in Worcester. The scallops there were excellent and the scallop basket which is similar to George's was $19.95. So next time I'm near George's Surf N Turf, I'm going to keep goin' by, and drive to Juicy Seafood if I'm craving fried scallops.

The restaurant is small (only seats 48) so reservations are recommended. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, there wasn't very many people while we were there so I'm not sure how loud it gets when busy. They have a full bar so I ordered a drink and my husband loves his craft beers and they had a few (but he always prefers if they have a beer menu so he can read the beer description). For appetizers we ordered shrimp cocktail and the meatball. The shrimp and sauce were delicious, and the meatball was HUGE (we almost could have a meal with that!!! The meatball came with lots of sauce and ricotta with 2 toasted bread slices (we devoured every bit!). For dinner we shared 2 entrees, we got the seafood casserole which came with choice of side (we picked baked potato) and a vegetable medley, and the southern fried pork chops that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The food was so delicious we ate what we could and had to bring food home. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was one of the best places we've tried in a while. We eat out at least weekly and most places we don't go back for a second visit, but Lucky Dog Tavern will definitely stay on our rotation of places we love.

I definitely recommend coming in early as peak times there can be a long wait. But, I was happy that we didn't have a wait tonight. The restaurant itself is large and open but because of that can be hard to hear, especially if there are tables sitting next to you. I appreciate that they always have a specials menu as they have some imaginative dishes on there. Our waitress was friendly. She was pleasant but not overwhelming and made sure that we had everything we needed. If you haven't been here before I would recommend their seafood. It's all high quality and reasonably priced. Tonight though, I had the Alfredo with chicken and mushrooms. I will say their Alfredo is superb. It's buttery, rich, creamy, savory, and everything else you'd want an Alfredo to be. The chicken was thinly breaded and perfectly tender and the mushrooms were copious. I definitely had more than enough food for two meals. My grandma had a burger and liked her meal as well- I'm always a big fan of the pickle. If you haven't been to Lindy's yet, definitely try them out. It's a quality pub!

A friend of mine warned me that some of these foods are "fried dough that tastes vaguely of seafood," which is how I'd describe clam cakes and stuffies. I will say, the guy next to me ordered steamed clams that looked and smelled fantastic, so maybe this is the place to go for whole seafood.

I had no idea they do buck-a-shuck oysters on Sundays during football season. If I'd known earlier, I definitely would've been here all season long! She convinced me to try the beef vegetable soup, and I'm so glad she did. She mentioned that the beef comes from the ends of their filet mignon -- and honestly, it was the best beef vegetable soup I've ever had. Rich, flavorful, and she even split it into two cups since we were sharing. Such a thoughtful touch! Before we left, my boyfriend wanted to gamble a bit, so I planned to take another glass of wine onto the casino floor. I told Karen I wanted to try something different, and she surprised me with a mini wine tasting of three options. I ended up choosing a wine I never would've tried on my own -- and loved it. We were immediately welcomed by the manager, Elyse, whose professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. The atmosphere was inviting, comfortable, and perfectly balanced between upscale and relaxed--and the staff mirrored that energy from start to finish. Our service was truly outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and always pleasant. Every question we had was answered with confidence, and the recommendations were spot-on. You could tell the staff genuinely cared about creating an exceptional experience. The evening began with perfectly crafted and beautifully presented martinis, followed by warm, flavorful focaccia bread that immediately set the stage for what was to come. The calamari appetizer was incredibly fresh, tender, and packed with flavor, and the charcuterie board was both visually stunning and deliciously curated. The entrees were nothing short of amazing. The ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection--melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. The pesto tortellini was rich, creamy, and indulgent, with every bite leaving us wanting more. What started as a simple date night turned into an experience we couldn't stop talking about--and one we can't wait to repeat. Even though it was an early dinner, it was already getting busy at this popular, out of the way, restaurant. Alicante provides a beautiful venue, a long rectangle footprint on the shore of a small pond, offering lovely views from every table. It took a few minutes for our waiter to arrive at our table, and as the evening progressed, the service slowed to a crawl. Historically, the service has been excellent at this upscale restaurant, but it seemed that our waiter had too many tables and was overwhelmed. Bread and water were brought promptly, as was our tasty calamari appetizer. But the salad which we were told would arrive quickly took a long time to find its way to our table, and the entrees seem to take forever. We ordered: * Tuna Sashimi * Caser Salad * Calamari * Ternera Marsala * Seared Scallops * Pasta Special in Cream Sauce * Riesling and Cabernet The calamari appetizer was excellent. For my entre I ordered the seared scallops, which were good, but the risotto was very dry. I sampled the pasta with chicken in cream sauce, which was tasty, but the chicken was also very dry. And when I returned home, I received an email from the reservation app asking why I hadn't arrived for my reservation. I think the hostess was also overwhelmed. I think the Alicante was having an off night, which can happen at any establishment. That said, considering the $305 tab, we were hoping for better overall execution.
