So, our kids ate our food, and after a very long wait, their dish finally came out. By that point we had already been there for about one hour. They gave us a free ice cream dessert to make up for it but the additional time we had to spend there wasn't really worth it. We were there for nearly 90 minutes because of this oversight. So, it's a good place, and I know people make mistakes, but it kind of put a damper on what would've been a great family dinner. Can't say if we will return in the future.

We ordered the miso ramen, gyoza steamed dumplings, and an assortment of sushi (spicy maki combo & tuna cucumber roll). Everything tasted fresh and was a great portion size for the price. I can't wait to try other things off the menu. Definitely check this place out if you're a sushi lover :)

I ordered spicy tuna roll (which is usually minced up tuna but they had it as a whole piece of tuna), spicy yellowtail, and salmon with avocado. All rolls were good! I also ordered an unagi bowl (a little on the expensive side, but it was good). It's located in a plaza with a lot of parking, restaurant looks clean, and the staff seemed very friendly. The inside of Hakata Ramen is tight and can get pretty busy, but the vibe is what you'd expect for the area. The staff is honestly the best part. They are welcoming and move fast. I have been here a handful of times and it is a reliable choice for comfort food. They have these daily bento specials with ramen, sushi, and appetizers that look like a great deal. I tried, but they are intriguing. The main downside is the broth quality compared to the price. There are definitely more authentic ramen spots in the city if you are a purist. You can tell the base is not a homemade tonkatsu broth, which is a bit of a letdown for what they charge. Still, it is a decent spot for a quick meal. * Tempura Ramen (7/10): The tempura is a total highlight because it is served on a separate plate to keep it from getting soggy, though the broth itself is fairly standard. There's a strong following from the neighborhood. Their AYCE hot pot offering is reasonable in price and choices up against all the other hotpot choices in Quincy. Their ala carte menu is just as satisfying. We also enjoy a frozen smoothy to go with dinner. My favorite is banana avocado or red bean. There are ample free apps that come with AYCE hotpot. My favorites are fried oysters and coconut shrimp. From there is ordering from a huge variety of meats, vegetables, and other hot pot fixings. Love their hand made dragon fruit shrimp paste and giant clams. But for my family, it is really always all about the choice beef - fat cow. I never leave hungry. There's nothing like the taste of the unique broth resulting in all of the foods you cook in the hotpot. I love to enjoy a bowl of the broth at the end of the meal. Location is great, there were able 2 employees working the front. Not really sociable with us but very chatty with each other. Pricing is a bit on the higher end for the quality for sure, out of 7 dishes between a group of 4 and 2 were for sure pre-made items only 2 dishes were ok. As for the food itself, I can say it's more on a "cleaner" side vs the extra flavor and oily texture you'd get from a fast food chain. The ramen broth was subtle, the noodle perfect, but the flavor wasn't there. The Chef special roll was way over priced for what you get, especially only having 1 piece being the best out of the "assorted" fish. The hibachi wasn't good in my opinion, good portion though. Would not order that again. The chicken teriyaki flavor was great, chicken texture was more like grilled on a pan vs over flame. Loved the veggies though. The gyoza and takoyaki were good as well as the strawberry mochi icecream. Wish they were more friendly though, making us feel like we were inconvenient for them was a major turn off.

The food quality is above average, the execution is high, and the service is attentive. The space is clean and efficient, but lacks warmth. We visited the day after a large 1-2 foot snowstorm, and Ochi was one of the only restaurants open in town. I've eaten at Ochi 4x since it opened in 2023, although there's a lot more to explore on its expansive and prolific menu. On this visit, we tried a Tuna Poke Bowl, a Salmon Pome Bowl, a Katsu Ramen, a Mango Salad, and a Mochi desert. Regarding the Tuna Poke Bowl, Ochi took the liberty of substituting more expensive fatty tuna (Toro), for regular tuna (Maguro), a generous and appreciated gift as a thanks for dining on a very slow night due to the storm. Hence, I would recommend everything we tried: the Mango Salad, any of the Sushi, Sashimi and Maki choices, the Poke bowls and Ramen (especially the Spicy Miso Ramen, the chicken Katsu Ramen, and any of the traditional pork or beef Ramen choices). In addition, the deserts are especially worth trying, and are all well orchestrated. You can't really go wrong at Ochi.
