The lunch noodles were very good and chicken was velvet tender and I wanted the ribs extra sauce and juice on my chicken too. My husband and I were at a nearby conference and needed to get lunch. We saw Chatta Box and judging from its exterior and interior appearance figured it would be a middle-of the road but acceptable place to eat. The waiter was friendly and we sat down and opened the sushi menu. We were astonished at the prices. $12.95 for a spicy tuna roll? $9.95 for a California roll. $9.95 for seaweed and the selection was extremely limited. We asked if the sushi rolls were extra large and the waiter said that they actually were quite small. We ordered 2 nigiri, miso soup , spicy tuna roll and a California. The spicy tuna roll was just a piece of sub-par rubbery tuna with a speck of spicy sauce. And the California roll was tasteless. Was husband left hungry and I did too. I've been eating sushi for probably four decades and this was possibly the worst value and sushi experience I've ever had. We left hungry and irritated by the poor quality. Terrible value and outrageous prices for a mediocre establishment in a strip mall in the middle of nowhere in Massachusetts. This is my third poor experience. I spent $81 on takeout and three two full entrées worth $50+ in the trash. Had I dined in, I would have sent the food back. The $20.45 shrimp red curry had four shrimp and an overwhelming amount of green beans. It did not consist of much more. The chicken pad ke mao had barely any chicken and the beef basil fried rice was lacking beef, and what was there, was chewy. We asked for brown rice and there was white rice mixed in it. To make it worse, the food was flavorless. I do not think I can be swayed to go back again, unless the restaurant makes an attempt to right the situation. I work extremely hard for my income and $81 is a lot of money. And to have it spent purchasing mostly noodles, rice, and green beans is disappointing. The coconut shrimp tempura was my favorite of the two. It was crispy and had a light dusting of coconut. Korean Short rib was chewy, but full of Smokey Korean marinade. For our main dish: we got the Thai Gra Pao & Chiang Mai Pad Thai Thai Gra Pao came with ground beef. It was so much flavor and had a nice spicy smell to it . Pad Thai with shrimp was not spicy more so sweet and the shrimp was slightly over cooked/still had the tail on. Overall the dish was appealing. There is no shortage of spots for Asian food in the greater Bridgewater area but none come close to the consistency and quality of Chatta Box. Located off of Route 18, we have only had Chatta Box as takeout but the food is fresh, flavorful and appetizing each and every time. For appetizers, the Bangkok rolls, coconut chicken fingers or dumplings are great options and start the meal off right. When it comes to entrees, we are somewhat creatures of habit and flip between the Crispy Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Asparagus, General's Chicken, Pad Thai or Singapore Noodles. The Crispy Chicken Fried Rice we get without onions or scallions and the dish comes complete with giant pieces of crispy chicken atop a bed of really flavorful and spicy fried rice. The Chicken Asparagus has nice slices of chicken, asparagus and carrots that goes great over white rice or a side of noodles. When it comes to Pad Thai, we go for the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai with no scallions or tofu. We tried The Chatta Box tonight on the recommendation of a local friend. While I'm not the biggest fan of catch-all pan-Asian restaurants, some small towns on the South Shore can't support multiple offerings, leaving an opening for enterprising restauranteurs who want to take the plunge at representing a panoply of Asian cuisines. My dinner experience was generally pretty mixed: 1). Each of the food items my companion and I ordered were tasty. I stuck with Thai, ordering the chicken pad kee mao as my entree and the tom yum with shrimp as my appetizer. My less spice-oriented dinner companion mixed it up, getting California rolls as an appetizer and un-spiced chicken pad Thai as her entree. 2). The staff had to be asked to bring a second set of silverware and a napkin. 3). One diner received her noodle entree in a metal serving dish and was also provided a plate. The other had his noodle dish delivered in a metal serving dish but no plate was provided. There did not seem to be any reason behind this difference in service and the lack of a dining plate made consumption of the noodle dish a messy affair when the server failed to reappear within a reasonable period of time. 4). While the server was quite pleasant when he was present, multiple requests for water refills were overlooked. In short, this was a situation where the service was spotty at best, albeit seemingly well-meaning. That said, the food was good enough that I'd come back if I'm in the area again to see if they've upped their game on the service side. read more

Unexpected & delightful Thai food eatery where I least expected to savor amazing Thai delights. I'm not really sure what there specialty item is cause everything we tried tasted awesome, and that's a fact. We dined on Pad That mixed with chicken & prawns along with an order of sizzling beef. If I didn't have to catch a plane I'd be back for more today. Service from the lady's was exceptional and catered to every need we had. Al to make sure we had the best meal. Now my only grip was that some hag & grandma had there brats in the place and the kids were loud and obnoxious bothering us while we dined. I understand you have to eat but that's why Subway was made. The staff should have ask them to leave if they couldn't control those brats. After all we also came in to enjoy a meal. Breeders are the worst in an establishment cause not everyone enjoys children especially ones in a restaurant that make noise. Well sorry for my tirade but that's how I feel. On our way to the airport we wanted somewhere to eat along the way. We decided on Thai food and Yelp led us to Chatta Box. We certainly were not the only ones with this idea, as the restaurant was fairly busy while we were there. Their menu is large and will certainly have enough to choose from to please everybody. I decided on the pad kee mao and my wife had the pad Thai. We started with the Vietnamese spring rolls, which were amazing with a fish sauce and sriracha dipping sauce. I enjoyed my dish very much until I tried the pad Thai, which I loved so much I had it again for breakfast before flying out!
