Chicken Satay - The Peppery Thai Restaurant 1/2026
    Vivian C.

The Peppery Thai Restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, and their small tandem parking lot was full when I came by to pick up an order to go, but fortunately there was a spot just out front. The staff was pleasant, and let me know that it would be a few minutes. Chicken Satay (4) $8.50 Tofu Pad Thai $13.95 Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice $13.95 Seafood Mixed Vegetables - Fresh mixed vegetables sautéed with light brown sauce $17.95 Tamarind Crispy Shrimp - Crispy jumbo shrimp, mixed vegetables with tangy tamarind sauce and served with Jasmine rice $19.95 Rama Crispy Duck - Crispy boneless duck and mixed vegetable in delicious peanut sauce $26.95 They gave us a small rice with each of the non-carb dishes, and served the tamarind sauce wisely on the side, safely contained in a plastic bag. Too bad they did not do the same with the peanut sauce for the rama crispy duck. But still everything was good. And the 4 jumbo shrimp were quite large, and exceedingly crispy. The same broccoli, snow peas, carrots, and diced bell peppers were nicely formed into a nest under both the crispy shrimp and the crispy duck, while the Mixed Vegetables included yellow squash, zucchini, some leafy greens and baby corn with the carrots, broccoli and bell pepper strips. I noticed a dated sign in the window, celebrating their anniversary in April with a free dessert for those dining in and hitting a certain spend amount. *** January 2026 Their chicken satay sadly seems to have shrunk in the new year. We selected duck as the protein on the pad Thai and it was a good portion. And they provided plenty of tofu in our entree, which came with white rice.

Delish. Food was excellent and fresh. Looking forward to going back or ordering takeout from here. Lot of options.

Love this restaurant! The prices are very reasonable, especially with the lunch menu, and the food is consistently good. The cranberry crab rangoons are a must-try. The chef's specials are definitely the highlight -- the steak and duck dishes are very flavorful. Their drinks are great too; I really enjoyed the sangria. I personally think their noodle entrees are not as great/flavorful as the chef specials and curries. The staff here is also very friendly and great at recommending dishes. Plus, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Overall, I highly recommend this place for the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service!

Basil friend rice with brown rice extra spicy substituting mushroom for onion. Peppery Margarita extra spicy ‍

The Peppery is by far my favorite place to get a drink and have lunch or dinner. The friendly service, relaxing music, and fresh/flavorful dishes are what has kept me coming back since they opened. The great experience is always consistent time and time again. I highly recommend the jumbo crabmeat fried rice, khao soi (curry noodle dish) and the basil fried rice as well as the Tom Kha Soup. Desserts are all wonderful. If you haven't tried fried ice cream now is your chance and don't sleep on their drink menu alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages offered are equally consistent and very well balanced.

Came here for lunch on a weekday and would 100% come back! The restaurant is pretty cozy and the staff is really nice. The service was also very fast. I came during the lunch special and it was a really good deal. I was able to get soup, an entree, and a spring roll for under $15. The best part is that if you add a drink, it's an extra dollar. Overall, it was a great value and the food was good - especially the basil fried rice and the Thai tea. Those were my favorite items of the day.

We had a great time here, the food is delicious, and the interior is beautiful. The drunken noodles are my favorite , so flavorful and packed with veggies, beef, and the noodles are these flat/wide rice noodles that is the perfect texture. Thai steak salad is delicious but small portion and pricey. The sauce is quite sour/fishy and may not be everyone's cup of tea. Beef noodle soup was hearty and unique, it's not like a traditional Chinese beef noodle. It's closer to pho, where it uses rice noodles and the broth is not too heavy! There's bean sprouts and beef slices. Overall, super delicious, fast service, and there's street parking!

New addition to south shore. Prices are average and they do a lunch special Monday-Friday for an entree and side like soup or spring roll. Was unable to watch the lunch since it was Saturday so we ordered chicken satay, drunken noodles, and mango curry. Very disappointed in the satay, thought it was kind of lackluster just barely marinated in curry and coconut marinade. I've had better satay As for drunken noodles, it was good. I was say better than most as some places do not have much flavor or color and here there was. As for the curry, portion looks big but plate quite deceiving. It was good I will say but nothing mind blowing

Located in downtown Brockton is this Thai restaurant, great for sit down or take out. The inside is very mid century American with light coffee shop music vibes in the background. Staff were very friendly and attentive (I got a spicy dish and they kept my water cup full!) food was overall very good, with well executed flavors that were balanced. Only small drawbacks my wife and I encountered was the Thai iced green tea may have had the tea steeping longer than our preferences and the carrots in our curry were not as cooked as much as I would have preferred. Overall though an excellent option for dinner if you are in the area.

Fast service and a warm, Family owned atmosphere makes this place a real gem. The interior is sleek, spotless, and beautifully designed, with comfy couches and fresh flowers on every table. We tried a variety of dishes that were all fantastic: the Hatyai Chicken Wings (5) were crispy and flavorful, Mango Fried Rice was perfectly sweet and savory, the Drunken Noodle and Tom Yum Noodle were both spicy and packed with bold flavors, the Pad Thai was wonderfully balanced and gluten-free, and the Yellow Curry was rich and creamy with a great GF option. The presentation of every dish was impressive, showing real care and attention. All the food was very fairly priced, and they even surprised us with an extra chicken wing! This amazing restaurant definitely deserves more attention and customers for its generous portions, great quality, and affordable prices. Highly recommend!

Solid pad Thai if you like yours saucy and sweet. The portion size was large so good value for the money. The inside was cute , bright, and welcoming.

It has a modern and cozy interior design. When we got there at 5 p.m. on Thursday, we were seated immediately; it was not that busy. Service was friendly but not attentive after all the dishes were served. We finished our meal in less than an hour. Lychee with Coconut Jelly - It was refreshing, not too sweet. Love it Thai Iced Green Tea - not too bitter or too sweet Shrimp Donut - MUST TRY - they chopped the shrimp instead of mincing, crispy and juicy Cranberry Crab Rangoon - served to warm, the cream cheese melts in your mouth Chicken Satay - the size of the chicken satay is the largest that I have eaten compared to other Thai restaurants, and the chicken is juicy Tom Yum Soup (with shrimp) - size was huge, medium spicy Tom Kha Soup (with shrimp) - size was huge but lack of coconut flavor Softshell Crab Mango Salad - I wish the mango were more ripe instead of raw Royal Pad Thai - nice presentation, but the pad thai was a little dried and lack of sauce Duck Tamarind - the duck was juicy and crispy, but the sauce was slightly salty. It would be best if you ate it with rice

Located across from McDs with limited parking in the lot or the street. Amazing service. Prices for dishes are very reasonable for the portion and taste. The soups are delicious and the shrimp donut is crispy and crunchy. The wings were large and flavorful. Great food and service. Tasty and authentic.

I recently wrote a review for the 'Hot & New' Omori in Quincy. While I am not a detractor of Omori,…read morethe experience there left something to be desired. This is due to some creative decisions I disagree with and, at times, very little eel. Meanwhile, Sake Japanese Restaurant hits just the right spot! The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

I had placed an order via Uber Eats from Sake. I ordered some sushi, some Yakitori (because my dogs…read morelove them and they deserved a yummy treat), and ramen that I put in the fridge for Sunday in plan of having some good hot soup after shoveling the pending snow. While my order was in route, the restaurant called and informed me that my driver forgot the hot items. Before I could even feel an ounce of disappointment and without prompt I was asked for my address as well as phone number and their delivery guy brought my ramen! No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!
