    Nisa's Pad Thai

Was craving Thai food and decided to stop by Nisa's Thai for dinner. Every single dish hit the spot and the food here was flavorful fresh and so satisfying. TOM KHA GAI This soup was heavenly. The broth was rich creamy and full of coconut flavor with the perfect balance of lemongrass ginger and lime. The chicken was tender and the mushrooms soaked up all that delicious broth. Warm comforting and just perfect to start the meal. SHRIMP SUMMER ROLLS So fresh and tightly rolled with shrimp vermicelli lettuce herbs and veggies. Every bite was crunchy and clean and dipped into their peanut sauce made it even better. Loved how generous the filling was and how refreshing this tasted. CRAB RANGOON Crispy golden and packed with creamy flavorful crab filling. No greasy taste just a perfect crunchy bite with that sweet dipping sauce. These were gone fast. THAI WINGS Crispy on the outside juicy on the inside with a sweet savory sauce that coated every wing. The flavor was bold and addictive. Absolutely delicious and such a great appetizer to share. PAD KEE MAO One of my favorite dishes of the night. Chewy wide rice noodles tossed with peppers onions basil and chilis. Every bite was saucy spicy and full of flavor. Loved how veggie forward it was with the perfect amount of heat. NISA'S PAD THAI A delicious twist on traditional pad Thai. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavors were balanced with the right amount of sweetness tang and crunch. Fresh herbs peanuts and lime made every bite pop. So yummy. YELLOW CURRY This curry was smooth creamy and packed with flavor. Warm spices sweet coconut and tender veggies with your protein of choice. Poured over rice it was comfort in a bowl. So good. CHICKEN PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE This was outstanding. The rice was fluffy and loaded with chicken pineapple cashews veggies and curry powder that tied everything together. Sweet savory aromatic and just delicious. The portion was huge too. Everything we ordered was fresh flavorful and well prepared. Portions were generous service was quick and the food was consistently delicious. Absolutely loved our dinner at Nisa's Thai and highly recommend if you are craving great Thai food!

Stumbled upon this place for lunch after the place we wanted to try was closed. It's a small cozy Thai place with a handful of tables. We had the spicy basil pad Thai with crispy chicken and the pork pad kee mao. The pad Thai was rich and flavorful, one of the better ones I had. The crispy chicken was fried chicken cutlets that were nice and moist. The kee mao was pretty bland and didn't have much spice or basil taste. Portion sizes were decent. I think they only serve dinner size portions on weekends as it was lunch time and we were charged dinner price.

We had an impromptu lunch getaway at Nisa's and shared a yummy summer roll then my husband got a delicious mango curry and I got a new noodle dish I'd never had before. My dish's flavors were mild so I scooped some of the curry into the noodles. We had some red wine that tasted a little vinegary like maybe the bottle was open too long but it was fine.

The chicken ka pow was overall good but slightly oily for my personal taste. My bf got the crispy chicken curry and that was delicious! The chicken was super crispy on the outside and tender/juicy on the inside. The thai tea was really nice and perfectly balanced. Service was also great!

We think it's the best Thai food in the area. We go out of our way to do their take out. Thai rolls and sauce are the best.

First impression, this is a large restaurant, very clean and modern with a nice long bar, The lunch specials are 12.50 - 13.50 or so. Not bad. What you get is the main dish and either fried or white rice only. No appetizer and no soup but that's fine, it's lunch and I just need to eat a normal portion of a tasty dish and that is what we got. My buddy got Yu Hsaing beef and hot n sour soup. I tasted the dish and it was delicious especially the mushrooms that had absorbed the mildly spicy yet savory sauce. I got Three Delights which was fine though I believe the shrimp was frozen and understandable as I imagine fresh deliveries were held up due to a paralyzing snowstorm. One minor complaint had to ask for duck sauce and had to ask for tea and was in fact charged for the cup of tea 1.75 I believe. Waiter nice guy, thought funny he was using the universal belt LOL it was probably a size 40 belt and he was a skinny guy maybe a 30 waist, so it did look odd. With the tip was 43 bucks, a bit more than what I like to spend at lunch, but it was a relaxing time. On the way out had a chat with I believe the owner or maybe manager very nice guy. I will come back.

Went back for a dinner a year after the big "under new management" change. Interesting findings…read more -- Egg Rolls: A little small, a little dry, but nicely crisp, old school celery filling, and VERY intense BBQ pork flavor inside. Almost like a pork bun. A little above average thanks to the flavor. -- Chinatown Ribs: Not available when they first did the new management thing, but their signature babybacks are back, at least as a special. A different cut from the spares, these are a little pricey at $28, and odd cutting-- some wide, some narrow-- but very thick (2" in spots) and very juicy. Just enough glaze, and thankfully not all over the cross sections, because these fresh-cooked ribs have nothing to hide and need no crutch (I'm looking at you, Jasmine Garden). Very pleasant flavor. Near-elite. -- Yu Hsiang Beef (on a combo): Yes, they do dinner combos. The beef was very tender, with pleasant spicy flavor and sweetness to balance it out. It seems the sweetness is a new twist; I preferred the version I had twice a year ago that was much more spicy and savory, but this was good. Nice assortment of peppers and wood ear mushrooms. Above average. -- Spareribs (on a combo): Had to try these too. These changed a little from a year ago (previously near-elite once and elite once)-- not as thick and no scoring of the surface. Delicious glaze, but dry and probably a reheat. Will definitely get these again, but as a full order, not as extras plopped onto a combo. A little below average, but still some good signs. -- Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): Dry. Muted flavor. Below average. -- General Gau's Chicken: Very crispy and staying crispy throughout the meal, these flattened, bumpy mini cutlets had quality chicken, good tenderness, and a complex sauce mixing heat into the sweet the way the General is supposed to but which most don't. Caramelly delicious. Near-elite to elite. Some bumps in the road still, but still plenty to like.
