I love Waku Waku, been here twice! My favorite dish and I think it's an absolute must get is there squid. It's perfectly fried and it's nice and big. The signature ramen was okay. The ramen that I tried the second time was the cheesy ramen that was actually really good. I was surprised of the flavor and thought it was more of a dry noodle but it had lots of soup!

It was my first visit to WakuWaku, and I enjoyed it. My friend noticed that the prices had jumped since his last visit a few months ago, but it seemed to fit the new post pandemic pricing for an affordable meal of about $20 after tax and tip. We did however split two appetizers between the three of us. The soft balls of Takoyaki, and Fried Cauliflower which seemed actually healthy given the lightness of the fry job. My friend's Gyudon looked very good. But I opted for the Classic Miso Ramen which came with both pork chasu and braised chicken (two slices apiece) in a chicken based broth, and happily finished it, minus some broth. Though I found that I preferred the pork chasu over the tender white meat chicken. Bathrooms are one person at a time. Credit cards are accepted. Service was pleasant.

Wakuwaku located in Quincy and was my first time visiting. Parking is a bit tricky to find but there is street parking. For appetizers we got the samurai duck baos. The meat itself was a bit dry but the sweet sauce on top was nice. I just wished it was more juicy. This was my first time having takoyaki and it was delicious. It was very crispy with the inside melting in your mouth. It was very gooey and the sauces on top added great texture to the dish. For the main, we got the pork ramen. The broth itself was very flavorful. The pork katsu was very crispy and couldn't stop eating. The service itself was speedy. The restaurant itself very pretty. They had a pretty flower chandelier and art over the walls. Overall, I would love to come again

The food was really good and the staff were really nice. They had good pop music playing.

Waku Waku is conveniently located next to Kung Fu Tea. It's a small little spot and we got seated at the bar tables near the window. We ordered their steamed pork dumplings as an appetizer to start. I was surprised to see a steamed option since most places only have fried dumplings. The signature ramen and miso tonkotsu ramen were both delicious and packed with flavor. The portions were perfectly sized so you don't feel too full afterwards. Our waitress was kind and kept checking in on us. We'll definitely come back for more ramen in the future.

The best ramen spot in Quincy. We've been in desperate need for good ramen in Quincy for years and I think Waku Waku fills that void. I've got chance to try the squid Karrage, chicken Karrage, miso ramen, truffle shoyu, and miso Tonkontsu. All were very delicious. Soup was always hot and flavorful. Noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken/pork chashu is tender and tasty. I would definitely recommend miso and the miso Tonkontsu but would probably skip the truffle shoyu unless you love truffle.

Finally a decent ramen shop in Quincy! Waku Waku is great for a fun date night with a few different takes on ramen in a lively atmosphere full of fun art and house music. Tonkotsu ramen had the classic fatty pork broth that wasn't too oily or salty. The noodles were nice and chewy. I also tried the classic miso which was really tasty and had a lot of flavor packed into the broth but warning it is on the salty side. The miso kimchi ramen is a bit spicy as well but kimchi lovers will appreciate it. The portion sizes are okay but if you are a big eater, I'd get an extra order of noodles for $3 to add to your leftover broth. For $16 I think you get your money's worth but it would be nice if it came with more pork. Oh we didn't get a drink menu even though the place was advertised as a ramen and sake spot. Maybe they haven't gotten their liquor license yet since they opened a few weeks ago? Welcome to Quincy, Waku Waku!

So, this server Lauren was BOMB. She lit up our experience from jump. But then, it kept going with other cool e.ployees, including a guy with cool shoes. The vines were on point because of the people. Loved them. And props to Lauren who should get employee of the week and get an $85 gift card. Then, there was the food and drinks. Did you know their house sake is made by the first woman sake master in the US (or something like that)? I also enjoyed the shrimp dumpling trio and the fried truffle beef bao. The bao was a little greasy, if I'm honest, but I didn't have much of the appetite and was there for the sake. And my friends both got ramen and ate that stuff up! We had such good times. Highly recommend how chill it was.

An addition to the Kung Fu Tea in Wollaston is a very retro style ramen store. There is about 3 circular booths, one long table, and booth seating facing the windows. I went with my sister on a Thursday night and all the circular booths were taken so we decided to sit on the long table. Service was really nice-- I asked the server which bowls they recommended and definitely sounded like their spicy ramens were their greatest sellers. The Kaen ramen caught my interest but I played it safe and ordered the miso tonkotsu ramen. It comes with a nice and juicy egg-- well marinated and seasoned- 3 chashu slices, 2 bamboo shoots, green onions, bean sprouts, and scallions. Overall the taste was great. I had a very pleasant first time experience there and found the food very filling. Ended up taking the broth to go because miso tonkotsu is too good of a broth to pass up!

My boyfriend and I stopped in at this place since we were enjoying numerous ramen shops in the area - it was our first time to Chinatown. Food - we ordered a tonkotsu ramen which is our usual that we try when we first go to a ramen place we've never been to. I will say this was a decent tonkotsu ramen, the pork was seasoned (did not melt in your mouth though), the egg was good, and the bamboo shoots were nice and soft. The noodles were perfectly done I will say, probably the highlight of this ramen. The broth we rated it as a 3.5/5 almost 4 but it was missing something since we have had better tonkotsu ramen in other areas! Service - fast, didn't have much interactions with the waitress though. Just gave us water and our food and that was about it for interacting. Ambiance - pretty neat place, very small though. The decorations make you feel like you're in a cyber-themed world in Japan! Overall decent place with decent ramen if you're never tried ramen before. I'd recommend it until I found something better in the area though!

Can't rave enough about the service and the people here. Really made our night and the experience alone makes me want to come back! They were able to take us in 45 mins before closing (we were a big group looking for a spot that was still open to eat on a weekday in Quincy). I've eaten at Waku Waku at the other location, but I didn't enjoy it as much and it might be to the type of ramen I got before. This time I tried the Signature Ramen which comes with a pork katsu on the side (egg not included, sadly) and I really enjoyed this!! Has a nice little kick, I like the crunchy side of the pork katsu with the broth - I'd probably get this again if I come back. As for the staff, we were a group of 9 but one person wasn't eating. They came out to ask that they might have missed an order as the chef counted only 8 ramens (but there were 9 of us). We ensured only 8 people were eating but really appreciated checking on us and noticing that! Overall, super accommodating and welcoming as I know seeing a big group come in close to the closing times can be tough. The ambiance here is dark with ambient lighting, but it's not too dark where I can't see my food (if you see my photo, I can still take a good photo without flash) It also has a good amount of seating for the size of the space!

My partner and I got the squid karaage, samurai duck bao, signature ramen, and kaen ramen - TASTE: 5/5 - had no expectations coming in and were pleasantly surprised. The squid was well seasoned and the spicy mayo was actually spicy lol. The samurai duck bao was sweet and tasty, my signature ramen was comforting, and the kaen ramen was spicier than expected TEXTURE: 5/5 - fluffy bao, crisp karaage, tender noodles, and a side of crispy pork katsu w the signature ramen PRICE: 4/5 - wasn't as expensive as we expected. Subtotal was $53 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - filled us up for dinner SERVICE: 5/5 - this WakuWaku location in Quincy just opened earlier this week, so wasn't sure if it'd be super busy. Walked in at 5:45pm on a Friday and only one other table was seated thankfully. Every employee was attentive and helpful ATMOSPHERE: 5/5 - the former TKK Fried Chicken had shared the space w Kung Fu Tea. Now, a wall separates KFT and Wakuwaku, and the space is hip and bright. Definitely a cool transformation, and the fun playlist seemed like a signature touch by the Wong Guys Group PARKING: 4/5 - got a free street spot on Beale St around the corner

First, we got the vegetable tempura to share. It was light and crispy, pairing well with the sauce they provided. My personal favorite was the sweet potato tempura! They also offer a terrific sushi combo special; 2 rolls for $15 or 3 rolls for $19.45. We got two 3-roll sushi combos and I personally opted for the Spicy Salmon, Spicy Scallop, and Shrimp Tempura rolls. My favorite roll was the Spicy Scallop roll, but all the rolls were amazing! The Spicy Scallop Roll is a MUST TRY here. The fish is so fresh and they give a lot of fish (perfect fish-to-rice ratio!). I love how the tempura was crispy in the sushi rolls as well. Overall, the quality of the food is solid too, and it's a great place to get some tasty sushi. There are probably about 8 tables max at Toppu, so it's a great spot to grab some takeout. They have their own parking lot and there's tons of street parking right in front of the restaurant. However, I definitely recommend dining in though! The restaurant is clean and cute. I love how they have Toppu dishes and glasses. The staff is also very friendly. One thing to note though (which is the only reason I'm giving Toppu 4 stars instead of 5) is that the service can be a bit slow when they're busy. It took some time to get our food and the bill. There was only one waiter working as well. I'm sure once they've been open for a while they'll figure it out! I recommend giving Toppu a try! I'll be back soon to try their ramen and omurice.

I was worried that I had fallen out of love with it, and/or that my palate changed for the worse. Still, me being me, when I discovered Toppu was open, I made it a point to stop in and give it a try. This time I was not afraid of the heat, and ordered the spicy "Volcano" Ramen. I've had my tail absolutely handed to me a handful of times, but I decided to trust the server that it wasn't crazy hot. Well, I am glad to report this was the best bowl of ramen I have had in a long time. It was so good, even though it has been less than 24 hours, I am tempted to go back and order the same thing again. This is one of those rare cases when I cannot think of anything negative to say. Yes, this means I have experienced perfection! I have to start with the broth: the broth had the perfect amount of salt, was very savory, and had a hint of extremely pleasant sweetness. True to the server's word, the heat level was on point. It was spicy enough to be noticeable, but not at all overpowering or overwhelming. The definition of pleasant heat. The Chashu was also great! It was grilled/roasted instead of being boiled, and it had a good balance of fatty and meaty. It had absorbed a little bit of sweetness from the broth which worked wonders with the protein. For the noodles, these were cooked to perfection with just a teeny tiniest amount of firmness for texture. The egg was also cooked perfectly. For the veggies: I love the use of bean sprouts and bamboo shoots for added freshness and crunch. The use of Nori (which I think also counts as a veggie?) was also excellent and added a new dimension to the bowl. Finally, for the service, other than me wishing that an empty water glass was noticed a bit faster, no complaints here. The service was kind, polite, and speedy. When it comes to the location, it is clean and bright! They did a truly lovely job renovating in rehabbing the Dunkin' Donuts that used to be here. With this, I am absolutely a fan of Toppu, and I'm going to make a point to stop in at least one more time before I leave the state for good!

You can tell the base is not a homemade tonkatsu broth, which is a bit of a letdown for what they charge. While there are a few entrees at Cloud Asian Fusion that include both protein and vegetable, such as the Braised White Fish $22 (assorted mushrooms, fried tofu) one DC ordered, mine (Siam Crab Curry $22 - lump crab, spicy red curry, basil, bean sprouts, Thai Chili, thin rice noodles) and my other DC's (Mapo Katsu $16 (chicken katsu, mapo sauce, short grain white rice, furikake) came without (I don't count the small stash of raw bean sprouts on my plate), so I added the blistered green beans $16. Our server was pleasant and told me that they could make anything less mild. Even so, the slow burn from the milder Siam Crab Curry was a bit more than I would have liked. He checked up on me and offered to have the chef prepare a fresh batch with a milder curry powder instead, so I could better enjoy my meal. The original orange yellow of my crab curry bowl was turned a green yellow in its replacement. But it was still tasty, and still generous with lump crab meat. This was a good pick! The green bean vegetable dish was quite good too. I was happy with my meal. I sampled the other two dishes and found the regular mapo sauce recipe too spicy for my taste. The fish dish was tasty, but we found nothing especially fusion about it. 3 stars all around experience, but 4 stars for my own meal.

I was excited to try this place, because of the reviews. It's absolutely a hole in the wall ( a…read morereal plug in my opinion) , and tucked off of any real road. Totally incongruous with the surrounding environment. Walked in... nothing fancy. Maybe 5 tables. The food was just not good. I had the big wonton soup ( the one with all the extras ). The broth was very bland. The wontons were the nice thin wrappers, but the filling tasted "off". And there was enough noodles in the bowl to make it difficult to eat. I ate a few bites and left the rest. I also ordered the boneless spare ribs. They had a nice cook to them. Nice color. Nice charing. But... just not flavorful, and dry. Very dry. I ate a few pieces, and left the rest. Over all, I would not recommend nor return.

It is literally across from a condo complex and offers 3 parking spaces in the front. Inside there is a relatively clean front room and a back room that is simply decorated. I highly recommend the wontons ($13 w/o tax) with noodle soup as it tastes very bouncy and not too salty. The beef chow foon ($16 w/o tax) has wok hei (smoky) taste to it. The lemongrass chicken on rice ($14 w/o tax) is okay. Service is friendly and prompt. There is one bathroom for customer use.
