Came here on a whim with my friends and family, and I wish I wouldn't have. Between the food, servers, and the drinks it's a strong no for me. Walked in and it wasn't busy, pretty dimly lit insides but I appreciated that there were plenty of tvs to watch the games. Plenty of seating by the window, bar top and booths. For starters it took forever for the waitress to bring waters, that I had to ask for. When we asked basic questions about the menu, Laura acted as if we were bothering her. She forgot to put in drinks and then go upset that the food I ordered wasn't up to par. Philly egg rolls - 4/10 they are definitely pre made, like weeks in advance most likely because they were so rubbery and hard to even bite. I mentioned this to the waitress and she demanded that they remake them vs me not wanting them anymore. (We ordered two orders of them and I only sent one back) Calamari 2/10 -it was soggy and then drenched in like a nasty marinara sauce. We made the waitress aware of this as well and she had it remade although I specifically stated I didn't want it, and would even still pay for it. Lamb burger 6/10 -the lamb was juicy but could use a little more flavor. The fries were soggy but okay BYO burger 3/10 - wasn't prepared as we asked, and it really just taste like ground beef and that's all. Even with the added toppings Cowboy burger 7/10 - wasn't bad but if it didn't have onion rings etc on it then it would taste bland like the other burger Lamb lollipops - 8/10 - these were good and had a decent amount of flavor to them. The jalapeños on the side are extremely spicy and good "Buffalo chicken" nachos 3/10 - there was barely any Buffalo chicken on the nachos, they seem to put the shredded cheese on the chips and then melt the so they're hard to pull apart. On top of tasting stale. I used the jalapeños from the lamb to eat with nachos to give them more flavor Salmon w/ jasmine rice 7.5/10- the salmon was a little dry but paired well with the jasmine rice. Could use a little sauce on the side but it was good Sweet heat wings 8/10 - these were really good and were cooked well. The sauce isn't too spicy and just the right amount of sweetness Drinks - Blueberry limeade 2/10 - taste like juice and had to go to the bar to ask for it because the waitress didn't put it in. When I went to ask the bartender if the drink was ready, since I couldn't find the waitress, she made the drink on the spot for me. My experience at assembly was excellent! I really enjoyed their lamb lollipops, seasoned quite well and presentation was awesome. Assembly is my go-to spot when I'm hungry late at night. They stay open later than most other places in Quincy, and it's also a great place to catch games on their TVs. The servers are also very kind and food comes out quick. My favorite dish here is the apple goat cheese salad. It's incredible--the dressing is amazing, and there's a generous amount of walnuts, raisins, apples, and cheese that blend perfectly together. If you like salads, it's a must-try. I think about it some days. The lamb burger and any of their burgers are always juicy and flavorful.The calamari is soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Definite recommend, but the portion is a bit on the smaller side. I also love their weekday specials from Monday to Thursday. Whether it's the wings or pizza, it's a great affordable options. I have been here a couple times and the food does not disappoint! For this review I was on my wedding anniversary with my husband and we were just able to make it for brunch. We started off with the Lamb Lollipops appetizer. They were a little tough but the flavor made up for it! They tasted excellent. And now onto brunch. I got the Short Rib Hash. It had a great beef stew-like quality and was so tender. You can get any style eggs you like but I love a good scramble. My husband got the breakfast burger which he said was cooked perfectly and you can't beat a nice runny egg when you bite into it. The portions are also very generous too. Overall, excellent food! The staff were also very friendly and attentive and it's also great when you go on a warm day and the large windows at the front of the restaurant are open. I moved to Quincy about half a year ago and have been trying out all the bars and restaurants and this was my newest one this weekend! I really liked it. I got a mistletoe margarita which was a fun cocktail and the menu was huge. We ended up getting the friend cauliflower and pepperoni pizza, both of which were good. Great neighborhood spot to meet up with friends to watch a game or enjoy a casual meal out with the family. The menu focuses on American cuisine but they mix in a nice variety of other dishes as well. I enjoyed my lamb burger and my wife was a fan of her her southwest chicken wrap. The prices were fair for the portion sizes and quality. The ambience is great - lots of TVs to catch the game in a nice open setting but also cozy booths if you prefer more of a private experience with the family. This place is awful. It's like a Ground Round that thinks it's a Davio's. Everything in this place from the servers to the food is made with hatred and contempt for the customers. I think they'd love it if there were no customers, actually. This is the only place for like a two miles that serves non-Asian cuisine that ISN'T a smoke-filled townie dive. So, I have been here twice. Never again. That last visit was the last chance. As I sat at the bar, the bartender was intentionally lax about asking normal table-waiting question. She just looked at me and forced me to awkwardly flag her down to order. I felt like by ordering I was wasting her time. I tipped her accordingly. After I finally flagged her down to actually bother to take my order, the burger that came out was bloody and cold and when I complained, the server barely apologized. She whisked the burger away in an uncaring flash. She acted like it was my fault somehow. Regardless of anything, I won't be back. read more

Great bar with a relaxed atmosphere and a nice, varied menu. Three times I've been now, for drinks and a quick bite, and I haven't been disappointed yet. The staff are genuine anti-Bostonians; quick witted, friendly, and relaxed. I can't stress enough, despite all prior warnings, everyone I've encountered so far during my stay on the east coast have been nothing short of kind, considerate, helpful, and friendly. The staff here are no exception! Two different bartenders, a door man who "checks I.D.", and countless waitresses have quickly made this a must-visit spot for me. Assembly has become a go-to spot for my boyfriend and I since we moved to Quincy. Plenty of seating both at tables and at the bar. Food has always been amazing. The staff are so friendly!! One time we went there was a mix-up where the host forgot to put our name down on the waitlist so we waited longer than anticipated -- they were super apologetic towards us and even gave us a free dessert because of it! They also have great weeknight specials. It gets busy on Friday nights and the weekends and they don't take reservations, so keep that in mind. read more

Solid & consistent. This is one of my favorite places in Quincy. I love the vibe here and I've never had a bad meal. My husband loves that they have a large, rotating craft beer selection! On our last visit, I ordered the tortellini and my husband had the scallop casserole. Both meals were cooked perfectly and were also honestly just pure comfort food (which I loved!). My tortellini was creamy and flavorful while the breaded cajun chicken gave it a nice crunch and added kick without being hot/spicy. I would definitely order this meal again. I had a bite of my husband's tender scallops that were also in a lovely creamy/buttery sauce. I've always had a good time here and enjoyed every meal I've had. We came in for an early dinner and were told to sit wherever we wanted. It was barely 5pm so the restaurant was empty and quiet. There were a few people at the bar. The space is cavernous and I imagine it gets loud when busy. The waitress came over to us and offered water. She returned with the water & took our order immediately after. She wasn't personable at all. Strictly business. Never even cracking a smile. We ordered a Buffalo wing appetizer that was out within 10 minutes. It was ok. Less than 10 min later we got our entree. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with fries. The sandwich itself was lackluster. Very dry, not much flavor and barely any pesto or basil. The fries were good. Went here on a recommendation from a friend with high hopes despite the low star rating, but unfortunately it lived up to the 3-star average on Yelp. The ambiance and service were fine, the problem was the food. First, the breakfast tacos were bland and oddly came with chips and melted cheese on the side, which was a little odd to me to put on a breakfast plate. I was excited for some taco flavors in my morning but sadly the dish I got was pretty plain and seemed not far off from something they could serve for lunch or dinner. The short rib hash honestly felt like they took last night's short rib stew and plopped an egg on top. I usually think of a hash as something sauteed or scrambled but this dish really felt like a slow cooker soup. The flavor itself wasn't bad, but it was not at all what I would have expected for a brunch hash. I really wanted to like it more because it's a convenient brunch spot in Quincy and has a fun vibe. Went in earlier today to get a few craft beers as I viewed there selection from the website and had a few that I've not been able to find on draft. Walked in sat at the bar very empty one couple sitting at a high top table near the windows and maybe 3 or 4 other patrons. I believe because I walked in wearing a pair of grey sweatpants hooded sweatshirt stocking hat and because I have a scraggly looking beard the bartender assumed I was homeless. I sat patiently for her to finish her conversation with the other waitress she glanced over saw me and turned her back bad move as I was going to spend a decent amount of money on draft beer and possibly get 2 flights. Just because I wasn't dressed like a hipster or wearing jeans does not give you the right to ignore a patron. Definitely won't be coming back and I am going to tell all my fellow co workers at FedEx ground in Quincy do not go here!!!! The blonde bartender should be spoken to and be re trained on how to use better judgement on her people skills and act nicer. She was very rude!! I came to Assembly for brunch on Sunday afternoon. Reservations are not required - high top, booth and bar seating was available. Due to COVID, there were plastic dividers for each table/booth. Our server was very friendly and introduced herself right away to help us get started on the menu. We ordered the brunch punch (flavored vodka, blue frost gatorade, juices), breakfast burger (8 oz burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, topped with a fried egg and bacon, served with home fries) and chicken & waffles (lightly fried chicken tenders over a Belgian waffle, served with strawberry butter, maple syrup). - Brunch Punch: overly sweet and could not taste the vodka. - Breakfast Burger: reasonably sized and cooked as asked. The home fries were delicious -- perfectly crisp and well seasoned!! - Chicken & Waffles: the Belgian waffle was super crisp and airy. Don't get the seafood casserole. I thought I was treating myself when I ordered the $28 Seafood Casserole pickup order) but when I opened the bag I was let down by the sad looking small box containing a measly 4 pieces of 1x1" cubed fish in a crudely made tin foil bowl with a 2 oz. remekin of sauce next to it. They forgot the sides. All together I paid over $40 for this meal and now I have to speak to the manager tomorrow because they're gone for the night. Bummer. read more
