I'm a bit on the fence with this review. Masons Steakhouse looks spectacular, but doesn't taste spectacular. I walked and I grabbed a bar seat. I began with a glass of Etna Rosso. It was bland. I was presented with a complimentary Arancino. It was tough and tasteless. I began with the Wagyu Ravioli. I would say that it was decent. I switched my wine to a Yakima Cabernet. It was very good. My entre was a Filet Mignon. It was good, not great. My bill was quite steep. Thank U next!

Service was impeccable with good attention to detail and frequent check ins. The hot shrimp appetizer tasted bold and complex. But a little hard to eat since shell was on. Crab fried rice was decent with lots of crab. The steak was perfectly cooked and the peppercorn sauce was amazing. Dessert was innovative and well executed. The atmosphere was exciting but the restroom on the second floor is way to small and the lights did not automatically come on, making for some akward encounters. Definitely would go again.

Masons!!!! I haven't been to a really good steakhouse since before Covid! And Masons... wow... The ambiance was amazing, the service was amazing and the food.... Yup.. amazing 10/10

This place is wonderful! The atmosphere, friendly professional staff and the food is on another level. We still haven't had a piece of steak taste so good. We went there a few months ago and my family still talks about it. It was over an hour ride for us, but WELL worth it!

Yet again another 5 star experience last night at Masons. We pretty much ordered the same exact things as last time and this meal proves masons dedication to consistency and excellence. We dined at the bar this time which was a change and it was perfect. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The quality of food here is just beyond anything I've tasted. I've tried the majority of big name steak houses in Boston and Masons blows all of them out of the water. The restaurant is usually medium noise level. Very comfortable seats at the bar as well. If you haven't been here , just go !! Do it !!

Set in a former Masonic lodge, the appropriately named Masons Steakhouse is a newly established gem in Quincy Center. The grandiose interior is complete with vaulted ceilings and stylistic decor giving off a vibe that would be right at home in downtown Boston or the ever-trendy Seaport. When I arrived earlier this evening, I was early for my reservation, so I headed for the bar to wait. One glance at the drink menu and of course my eyes landed on the hickory smoked old fashioned and if there is one thing my readers know, a Smokey old fashioned is a personal favorite. So I ordered one along with some shrimp cocktail to keep me company while I waited for my party. Once everyone arrived we took our seats and dove into the menu, ordering a number of things the way my supper club usually does. We ordered the razor clam ceviche, porcini mushroom meatballs, squid ink seafood pasta, truffle Alfredo, blue crab fried rice, waygu ravioli, dry aged NY strip, prime filet, and the bone in ribeye to split and everything was delicious. Pro tip: They also offer a 3lb waygu tomahawk that we would have gotten for the table, but supply is limited and unfortunately they had sold out for the evening. Next time. Bottom line: from the service, to the atmosphere, to the mountains of delicious food, Masons is a Boston quality steak house nestled on the South Shore. Highly recommend.

Dined here for our anniversary on a recent Friday night & loved every moment of it! Mgmt/Staff gave us a greeting card upon arrival which was a lovely lil surprise. Overall, the service & food was absolutely exceptional! I've had many NY strip medium rare steaks but wow, the signature smokey taste took me over the edge. My favorite so far! Thank you, Masons! We can't wait to be back.

Excellent; as it should be for this price point! This restaurant is a great addition to Quincy's ever-growing food scene... My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. We started with the rockefeller oysters and shrimp cocktail. Both were amazing, but we were especially impressed with the black rock salt that was provided with the oysters. I've never had oysters served like that before and it was a nice touch! For my entree, I ordered the filet mignon (medium-rare), my husband got the ribeye and we shared the following: steak sauce flight, creamed spinach and baby potatoes. My steak was cooked perfectly and tasted smooth as silk. I absolutely LOVED the sauce flight!! It made each bite taste like I was eating a different steak! I don't know of any other steakhouse that does this. My husband licked his plate clean and raved about the creamed spinach; said it's the best he's ever had! For dessert, we shared the ice cream sandwich flight and chocolate cake. Ice cream isn't really my thing but the chocolate cake was rich, decadent and delicious! They also gave my husband these little bite-size puff pastries for his birthday (with a candle!). Absolutely check this place out for a special occasion :)

I recently enjoyed Sunday brunch at Masons Steakhouse in Quincy, MA, and for $49 per person, their all-you-can-eat prime rib brunch is absolutely worth it. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the amazing modern décor and vibrant bar ambiance that feels both upscale and welcoming. The highlight for me was the prime rib carving station, where thick, tender slices are carved to order--perfectly seasoned, juicy, and worth going back for more. I also loved the made-to-order omelette station, which offered fresh ingredients and quick service, along with a nice selection of fresh fruit and salads that balanced out the heartier options. The staff was attentive, efficient, and friendly, keeping everything flowing smoothly and making the entire experience feel polished and enjoyable. Overall, I left completely satisfied, and it's easily one of the best and most satisfying Sunday brunch experiences I've had in the area.

Real good experience here recently. Nice ambiance. Definitely Boston prices. Got the filet, ribeye, mac and cheese, baby potatoes, bone marrow, lobster bisque, and some desserts. Everything was great except the lobster bisque. Had a hiccup or 2 with service, but nothing major. Would recommend.

Great place. Staff is always very nice and attentive. Been about 4X and the food is incredible, the last time I went the recipes were a little different I think. It was during restaurant week so maybe they were a little off their game cause every other time I've been they've been amazing. This place tops a lot of steakhouses in Boston in my opinion. I would recommend getting the lobster bisque, Brussel sprouts, squid ink pasta, and the mango jalenpeno mocktail add tequila.

Had an absolutely amazing experience here for our anniversary! My partner and I came without reservations or any prior notice of a special occasion, just carrying cards for one another. We got a table right away (Wednesday night) and they noticed the cards so we got little goodies all night including a happy anniversary card, special appetizer, champagne and dessert. Our waitress was fabulous and explained the history of the restaurant as well as the vibe they're going for. She gave us any info we needed to make decisions on what food and drinks we wanted to try. My partner ordered a drink called "I can't believe it's not grapefruit", that, like the name suggests, had no grapefruit in it but tastes exactly like it - it was delicious! I had a delicious cocktail also but forget the name (this review is a few weeks late). I also had a really nice glass of Malbec. The Parker house rolls were warm, sweet, and lightly salted - the best we've had. I had the lobster bisque as an appetizer which was so delicious and comforting. For sides we got the brussel sprouts, whipped potatoes, and autumn nut squash (all were fabulous but the squash was to die for - I was obsessed). We both got filet mignon. Hers was medium, mine was medium rare. I do think mine was cooked a little closer to rare, but it was delicious so I didn't mind. We got the masons sauce and peppercorn sauce to go along with the steaks and both were delicious but we both preferred the peppercorn a bit. After dinner, they brought us free champagne and dessert for our anniversary which was so kind. The homemade chocolates and little cake they brought out were delicious! The decor in masons is beautiful. It's dark as steakhouses are, classy, chic, and there's an amazing smelling candle in the bathroom lol. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back! 100% would recommend!

As a new restaurant, the staff is friendly and well-trained, I introduced each item on the menu, but the place was a little loud that I couldn't hear, and we were seated on the 2nd floor. Coal Roasted Prawns (Harissa, Lemon Aïoli) - $27 Overpriced just for two shrimps. Wild Spanish Octopus (Almond Skordalia, Red Olive, Pinot Noir Syrup) - $22 It was soft and had a light flavor. This probably the best octopus dish i had so far. Roast Bone Marrow (Fig Jam, Citrus Supremes, Country Toast) - $32 It was delicious garlic toast, but I still flavored the house bread more. I like bone marrow, but this dish was on the saltier side, even though they added citrus and fig jam to refresh the taste. Lumache Allo Scoglio (Squid Ink Pasta, Rock Shrimp, Scallop, Lobster, Chili Oil) - $38 You must try it if you like pasta and spicy but a little too much sauce. Pan Roasted Duck Breast (Cashews, Sweet Potato Korma, Cranberries) - $38 It was tender and well-seasoned and paired well with the sweet potato. Bone-In Ribeye (18 oz. / Prime) - $68 Juicy and tender. They cut it for us since we are sharing. Red Crab Oscar (Asparagus, Bearnaise) - $23 There was too much cream that covered the crab taste. Cherry Blossom Tree (yuzu diplomat, sakura sponge, cherry cotton candy) - $18 It was a beautiful presentation but not my favorite since I am not a big fan of cherries. Chocolate Flower (catalan crema, macerated persimmons, mandarin orange creamsicle) - $18 It's creamy and not sweet, with a strong mandarin orange flavor and a beautiful presentation.

Excellent food, attentive staff and just the right number of tables/seats and patrons. When we were there last night, we arrived at about 5:30pm and it was still quiet. But soon as 6pm arrived they were getting close to capacity. Seems to be quite popular and a great meeting place for friends, eating or date night. We had the Guiness draft, and they were perfectly poured. The suggestion I would make is that they use an insignia on the foam to promote their talented bar staff and restaurant. We (4) all had something different, Burger & fries, Shepards Pie with lamb, Codfish and I had the Pork Shank. Let me warn you that you need be hungry when you arrive from the good size portions as you won't be disappointed. Everyone ate everything and nothing was left to take back. All perfectly prepared. With this comes the anxiety that I will discover a mind-blowing place and kick myself for not heading in sooner. Thus, a disappointing experience doesn't hurt *quite* as bad. However, the foodie in me doesn't care about relocation... he cares about food. Lured in by reviews of my peers, I tried the Tokenfire Colada and the Ribeye Steak. The Colada seemed interesting and unique, and the steak looked mouthwatering in the pictures. Tokenfire Colada - This one was very sweet, peanuty, extremely creamy, and a little savory. The thickness kept it from being refreshing, and I am not sure if I would call it boozy either. Usually with cocktails I sip and sip until it's all gone well before the halfway point, like popcorn in a movie theater where the bag is gone by the end of the trailers. Then there was the Ribeye Steak. I don't know... something about one of the photos here possessed me to order it, though I almost never order steak at a restaurant (gosh knows why). The wait for this thing was considerable, more than I would expect for a medium-rare piece of meat, especially when it wasn't that busy. I can only imagine if all tables/bar seats were full and there was a waitlist! Eventually the steak made it to me, but... was it worth it? No, it was worth neither the wait, nor the money it cost. First, rather than being cooked medium-rare as requested, it was more a medium-well, at best. Second, some of the steak was extraordinarily chewy. Third and finally, I found it rather bland, while some salt was used in seasoning, this was very light. The steak came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. These two were also bland, and so forgettable I didn't remember them until I went to upload the photo of the dish. Finally, there is the question of vibe. It feels like a place with light tavern influences. Not at all bad to spend a couple hours. However, as a small quip, the purple/violet LEDs fly in the face of said vibe. Thus, we are left with a thoroughly underwhelming experience where I begrudgingly finished my items because I am not someone who likes to send food back. I am only glad I tried Tokenfire in that I won't regret never trying it.

Met up with some good friends in Quincy and we're looking for a place to eat. Conveniently located by the Quincy Center stop, this place was great! We were seated quickly without a reservation (though clearly it can get popular, we showed up at 5:30 and by 6 the place was full of reserved parties!) and our server was very helpful. We got the fried calamari and the steak tartare as starters. While the calamari itself was crunchy and nicely lightly battered and fried, I would guesstimate that about 50% of the dish was actually calamari. The rest of the fried bits were carrot coins, lemon slices (with the seeds still in...) and what I think were pieces of poblano peppers. This honestly felt disappointing as the portion was quite small to start, and then for half of it to be miscellaneous fried veggies felt like it wasn't a great deal. The steak tartare was also an extremely tiny portion, with the plate heavily populated by arugula leaves and six tiny toasts. Not the most generous portions here unfortunately. I got the steak frites as my main. The steak itself was presently beautifully with a peppercorn sauce poured over it. However, I was looking for the salt shaker because the steak was quite underseasoned. While it looked like a good medium rare cook (how I ordered it) with a great looking sear, I had quite a bit of chew work to do getting through the gristly bits. The fatty side cap was a bit chewy and could have used some direct searing. The oysters were delicious! Not even a little bit of grit, with a very onion-heavy mignonette as an accompaniment. We didn't order much from the raw bar due to my friends' tastes but I feel like this would probably be the reason I come back another time with different people! I could have definitely been happier with the food here. But again don't sleep on the raw bar and if you're looking for a nice place to hang for an evening, overall great vibes here!

From the outside, the restaurant looks plain and unassuming, but once inside, it's modern, comfortable, and inviting. We had made reservations, but when we arrived, the place wasn't too crowded. The staff greeted us warmly and explained that we could either do the full rodizio or choose specific meats and pay by the pound. Naturally, we went for the full rodizio experience. The salad bar was a pleasant surprise. Unlike other Brazilian steakhouses that focus mainly on cold cuts, cheeses, and salads, Spettus had a smaller selection of cold items but an impressive variety of hot dishes such as pastas, meatballs, rice, and chicken parm. Everything was flavorful and fresh, and honestly, I could've been perfectly happy just eating from the salad bar alone. We also noticed that a good number of customers were doing takeout, which might explain the larger selection of hot foods. Then came the main event, the meats. Since it was a slower evening and we were the only table doing the full rodizio, we basically had personalized service. The gentleman serving the meats was friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in what he was serving. He offered great recommendations, took our requests, and playfully encouraged us to take "just one more slice" each time he came around. Every cut we tried was excellent, but the garlic steak really stood out for its flavor. The sausage was fantastic, and the absolute stars of the night were the picanha and the grilled pineapple. I could eat those two forever and be completely content. Overall, Spettus Steak House delivered a top-notch experience that easily rivals some of the larger chain Brazilian steakhouses. If I find myself back in the Boston area, I'll definitely be returning.

We made the reservation for 730 and they informed us they were about to close and we could grab to go plates but that's about it. Ruined my brother's birthday, and seeing that the reservation was made weeks ago, someone could've called and said they wouldn't be able to accommodate us.

Davio's - The bolognese is amazing. Plus I love when restaurants split dishes for you, makes sharing so much easier!

I saw some delicious sounding seafood, steak and Italian dishes as well as salads and appetizers on the menu and since I was more in the mood for a steak I picked the Filet Mignon as my entree. They had two different sized cuts that they were offering and I decided to go with the smaller one. It was very delicious and I got the mashed potatoes as a side dish which was also very good. I happened to be there during a busy lunch hour so the place was a bit noisy but nothing too overwhelming. It did take a little while for the meal to be served but it was well worth the wait. The prices are a bit high but you definitely get what you pay for. I really liked this restaurant and I will definitely consider dining with them at one of their other locations within the Boston area.

Highlight of meal was the Tagliatelle pasta. Freshly made, prepared al dente. The sauce was at best mediocre. Very bland. Bar was too notch. Not looking forward to a second visit unless it's to the bar there.
