Had dinner at 16c the other night in Quincy center and was happy with the experience. It's a nice, casual restaurant with TVs all around which makes it good for a game. The food was also pretty good. We stopped by 16c for dinner on Friday night. It wasn't too crowded and we didn't have to wait to get seated. I ordered the lemon thyme chicken off their specials menu. The chicken was dry, flavorless, and had no taste of lemon or thyme. I wish the dish had come with a salad instead of Brussels sprouts, that could've helped with the cook of the chicken. Went to dinner here with my sisters as it was recommended by a friend. Extremely clean and somewhat elegant but casual attire. We started out with a cheeseburger pizza. Yummy! Tastes just like one. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this is warranted. I ordered a $20 pizza to go and was enjoying it until I almost bit into a piece of metal 3 slices in. This is an all around great restaurant. The pizza is not the usual suspect - it's creative, artisanal, and far better than anything in the area. However, this place is not all about pizza - there is a great selection of entrees. The menu is tight as far as the number of selections go - but this works well for them as they put a lot of energy into making sure that the plates come out of the kitchen perfectly. You will find something on the menu for everyone. Some of my favs are - Pepperoni Pizza (probably the best you'll have anywhere) - Quiet Man Steak Tips and the Pan Roasted Half Chicken is super juicy! There is a very comfortable bar with fantastic service and makes for a great place to have dinner. Try the Crianza by the glass ... it's soooo good if your a red wine fan. The staff is fantastic/friendly and engaging. Oh and very kid friendly - solid kids menu ! Love coming to this restaurant, even in a Pandemic. Everything is so clean and the tables aren't close together. We ate here due to our refrigerator being broken, plus it felt good getting out of the house. We started out with my fave Brussels sprouts. Since They were out of the scallop dish I opted for the Bolognese which was cooked to perfection, al dente, exactly how I like it. My husband had the chicken pot pie, which was also very good. We shared a few glasses of Vino (they have my favorite super Tuscan by the glass). I enjoy visiting 16C. Bartenders and waitstaff are excellent. The cocktails are top notch and the food is delicious. Several choices on the menu, I especially enjoy the Chicken Milanese and have also enjoyed the steak tips and steak specials. My family enjoyed the double cheeseburger and chicken sandwiches with those hand cut fries are also so good. Don't forget the several choices of pizza, I have tried several and they were all delicious (I'm going back to try the butternut pizza that was offered as a special this week). As I mentioned before, the cocktails are excellent (we enjoyed Cosmopolitans and espresso martinis) and don't forget to try the Arancini for your appetizer and the warm cookie with vanilla ice cream was a great dessert! Went to dinner at 16C for a Yankee Swap. The decor is wicked nice and charming. The staff was extremely friendly and their menu is small but very direct with extremely good options. My review of their food items. Appetizers: Crispy Chicken Wings - just the right amount of spice with lots of flavor and delicious dressing. Crispy Shrimp Cocktail - fresh fried shrimp sitting on a layer of delicious sauce. Pan Seared Broccoli - have no idea what they did to the broccoli to make it so delicious. This item was exquisite. Cocktails: Eggnog Espresso Martini - a delicious blend of coffee and eggnog. Fig & Vanilla Bean Manhattan - very interesting mix of flavors. They were also extremely generous with the alcohol. If you're a bourbon fan, you will definitely enjoy this. Entree: The Quiet Man Steak Tips - marinated and cooked to perfection steak tips with a side of rice pilaf along with excellent presentation. Dessert: Pumpkin Spiced Cake - a LARGE slice of Pumpkin Spice cake with whip cream on top along with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate sauce. You will not regret coming here. We shared the chips and dip & beet salad to start and both were outstanding!! Portions are quite substantial for both. One of us had the chicken pot pie and 2 of us shared a pizza, half cheese and half mushroom with onion strings. So amazing! Both of them. We could not decide on the dessert so we shared the attached pics, brownie sundae and bread pudding. They make all their own desserts and ice cream, so both of these were so delicious. Specializing in sheet pizzas, this place offers a nice mix of classics like the margherita to fancy toppings like the Fig-prosciutto-arugula for the refined tongue. I don't typically eat crust, but I made an exception because this place got everything right. A sheet pizza will run you about $22, but it's 100% worth it. You can request a sheet pizza to be half and half if you can't decide on one flavor! We had the burrata appetizer and I'm just speechless over how perfect that starter was to a great meal. The pesto and microgreens had really fresh spring flavor for their focaccia. Might need to make another visit soon as they change up their menu frequently. She was able to get us served, and out on our time crunch seamlessly. She even took a photo of our group for us! We ordered 2 cheese pizzas, and one half mushroom half meat ball...YUMMY! They were cooked just right with the right amount of toppings. I think the haystack onions were a nice touch. The side salad was fresh, tossed well with shaved Parmesan cheese. Eggplant honestly tasted like it was over cooked and then microwaved. Eggplant was just mush and a few steps from puree. Portions were small too for the price. I'm fine paying for quality, but think I hit on a bad time of the day, 5:30, when they just opened. $45 for these items was just too much. Probably try it again. We have recently had two great dinners at 16C. Each time, the restaurant has been very busy, but the service and food have both been excellent. I have really enjoyed the Sunday Sauce with rigatoni. The sauce is well-seasoned and the pasta is perfectly cooked - chewy, not soggy. Don't sleep on dessert or cocktails. The bread pudding is a perfect size for two to share, and is delicious. The cocktails are reasonably priced and are strong! I was pleasantly surprised to find that they do not skimp on their pours. Both times, service has been a highlight. Staff have been efficient, friendly and attentive without breathing down our necks. We were not rushed in any way, despite the restaurant being full.
