Located just next to the ashmont Red line station this Italian spot is a local favorite. I walked over from the train station after work for dinner. I arrived just around 5 pm and sat at the bar. The restaurant is low lighting and has a nice calming atmosphere. I was greeted with water by the bartender as well as offered suggestions on drinks. I ended up going with the cinnamon old fashioned and a seasonal cocktail. Both were great. The start of the show however was the salmon and mushroom risotto. The salmon was cooked perfectly, though it probably could have used a little more salt. However, accompanied by the mushroom risotto and eaten together. It was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return and try the chicken piccata which was recommended to me by a local who lives upstairs in one of the condos.

Always a good meal and positive experience at Tavolo. Featured is chicken parm with vodka sauce and the carbonara with griled chicken. Good martinis. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Old school pizza is also a must!

This is a lovely little Italian place right around ashmont. No parking lot but I was able to drive down a bit and find street parking pretty easily. tavolo is all decorated for Christmas and the lights were dim so it gave off a very cozy vibe. We started off with a round of drinks and I had their sangria. The it was spiced with some delicious, warm flavors- definitely one of the best Sangria's I've had. I got spaghetti and meat ball for the meal- pretty solid, no complaints. At the end we ordered a round of cannolis. They were small but truthfully just the right size so they aren't overwhelming to eat. This place is a little on the pricier side, so think more of a date night vibe than your regular weekly hang out.

Really cute decorations and nice booths.

Got take out from Tavolo last night and it was so good! It was ready within 20 minutes. We got the focaccia bread, kale Cesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, pasta alla normal and 2 martinis! The martinis were massive! Easily 1 and a half martinis each. It was so delicious I highly recommend!

The food and drinks are good. The staff are, in general, nasty, rude, snarling, and contemptuous.

Instead, you'll be doing weekly fresh pasta nights. Do you like wine? Definitely don't go here, because there's a great assortment, BOOM, you'll buy a bottle with your fresh pasta. I haven't had the raviolis because I'm not full on masochist (everyone says they'll change your life even though the owner insists she is more proud of the spaghetti) Speaking of the owner, I've caught her doing the dishes herself, how many owners do that? How humble, very demure. Not to say the staff isn't helpful and friendly because Tyler will help you pick out a bottle that is tall and skinny so you don't have guilt about finishing it in one night. Like I said, don't go here because you won't leave empty handed. There's also an infamous rumor that Anna Delvey frequents here-- who's to say?

My family wanted to stock up on fresh pasta before the recent snowstorm, and after I had purchased their fresh pasta during the Newport summer Farmers' Markets, we decided to take a trip to Tiverton and check out the brick n' mortar. The shop has ample parking outside- you won't be staying for long, as the inside consists of a counter, a freezer, a fridge, and a display case, all chock full of made to order pastas and frozen meals (love the chicken parm!). You'll be in and out quickly with high quality and affordable noshes in no time. The pasta can be easily frozen and stored to last, so stock up while you can! It's a small space, but the quality of the product is unmatched. We called ahead of time to ensure they had the fettuccine we were seeking, and the clerk was pleasant and professional both on the phone and in person. Until the Farmers' Markets restart in May, the Little Rhody Pasta Co.'s shop is fully worth a check out!

We went on Thursday and we were the only people in the store. When we walked in, there was a table that said bread, but there was no bread available. There was one cooler that had frozen raviolis and then another cooler that had fresh pastas in addition to fresh ready bake meals like chicken, veal parmesan and meatballs. I bought the spicy rigatoni, which was fresh and frozen prosciutto and cheese ravioli as they were not any fresh ravioli. The price I paid was pretty reasonable and comparable to the other store that I go to. My friend bought six meatballs, which were made of pork, beef, and veal with one package of frozen prosciutto raviolis. Her total came to about $30. I was so excited to try the prosciutto raviolis. Tonight, we followed the directions, even though we've made raviolis many times, but the raviolis split apart and the ones that didn't stuck together. There were 10 raviolis in the package I bought. They were very filling, I ended up eating about four of them, but didn't like the flavor. They were very smoky and tasted like bacon not prosciutto. I did like that they had an Narragansett Creamery ricotta in them though. Overall, I was disappointed with the taste and the quality of the raviolis. I'm glad that they have very good ratings and people like them because I always want to see a small local business succeed. The taste and consistency just wasn't for me. I'll stick with my other place as a ravioli are fresh and I've never had one thing from them that wasn't a 10.
