I'm always a bit skeptical with higher priced hand made pasta but this place is different. Located in an industrial looking building this is a cash-only business. How many times have you had lobster raviolis in which you could barely taste or find the lobster? Well these lobster raviolis were really stuffed full of tasty lobster- the real deal in my book. Tried two types of sauces- a limoncello, and pink vodka. Both were delicious and didn't over-power the lobster ravioli. They sell other non-stuffed pastas as well. Highly recommend you check-out this place. Bring cash.

This was a true hidden gem while in Boston recently. Looking for a place that sold fresh pasta and Yelp helped us find this place that is a pasta lovers dream. The woman that was handling customer request was really helpful at pairing our pasta and sauce as there were so many options We ended up with a fig and marscapone raveoli as well as an Atumnn ravioli (filled with sweet potato and Butternut squash). Both were paired with a light cream sauce. My husband is not a big cream sauce fan but he changed his mind after tonight's dinner. Packages are sold by the pound and they can definitely serve 2 ppl easily. Not a fan of filled pastas they also have a variety of fresh non filled pastas and slow dried shelf stable pasta. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the mood for pasta.

Normally don't write these but had to for how good deano's was!!! I have been searching for pear ravioli ever since I came back from Florence. Finally found it at deano's and wow was it good. We also had their lobster ravioli in pink cream sauce and cheese ravioli in marinara which were all amazing. Not to mention how good the prices are! 5 stars. Can't wait to get it again.

Fantastic pasta and the marina sauce is great too! p.s. Discovered them at a farmer's market on the North Shore and will have to make my way to Somerville soon because I can't wait until the Spring. Love that the sauce was frozen. Be well and stay curious, Lipstick Warriors

My dinner with Deanos fresh pasta and sauce. Finally got to use the basil in my garden!

I love their pasta. They're the best. I just wished they took debit cards. All the pasta is delicious and how the prices are right.

Great service and delicious pasta! Advice to those who haven't been...bring cash. However if you don't have cash, there's an ATM on-site.

Delicious sauces. Love the "honest" cream sauce. Fresh pasta and a lot of specialty raviolis. Great location and nice staff!

The price online was $6.50, but the gentleman at the counter charged me $8.95. When I asked about the discrepancy he said that online price was wrong. I travelled all that way so I paid the price that he gave me. I went to the website after I left to double-check, and I am still able to purchase it online for $6.50, so I don't think he was being honest. There was none of the flour that I was requesting up front, so he went to the back to get it. The bag he gave me is unlabeled, so now I am not even sure if I got the correct product, since I can't trust him. I was so happy to support a local business, but feel very taken advantage of. I can't speak to the quality of the products, they may be very good, but I can tell you that being lied to, does not feel great and does not make me want to come back to this shop.

It harkens to a bygone era of Italian grocers with such authenticity, today it conveys an almost suspiciously genuine quality. It's as though I'm on the set of a movie as local shoppers briskly enter the shop & point to which hanging salamis and hand-shaped pastas they want to take home. Due to a condition (living in Tennessee), I'm only able to have the chicken Parmesan sandwich here about once a year. It's a sandwich I reminisce about with my family and work into conversations with friends and strangers alike. The bread is fresh and chewy, the sauce bright and acidic, and the chicken lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and tender. You can taste each ingredient in every bite. Every element is perfectly executed in its own right, yet somehow made even better in harmony. Recently while devouring my third of the massive sandwich, a little chicken cutlet tumbled to the ground. I'm talking: the GROUND. Outside. Pavement. When no one was looking, I slyly dipped down, picked it up, and ate it. I'm not necessarily proud of this action, but I'm also not ashamed. If you didn't believe the 5 Second Rule before Bricco, let the chicken Parmesan sandwich convert you. Taste and see!

The bakery is cash only and sells a variety of breads: baguettes, ciabatta, sourdough, & olive bread. In addition to the sfogliatelle, they sell muffins, croissants, and focaccia and muffins. The sfogliatelle was pretty good, the pastry was crispy and flaky and the lemon ricotta filling was very rich and creamy. I would've loved to have a couple loaves of the bread, but there was no way I was going to be able to bring it home as I was already maxed out with my carry ons!

We were surprised to see they also made sandwiches. It's a small store, but the variety of products to take home is really good. Really nice staff. We were going to find a restaurant for lunch and We brought the sandwiches back to our hotel to have for dinner later and breakfast the next morning. There was a short line which I didn't expect, but which boded well for the experience. I ordered us a hot latte and an iced coffee as well as a plain pao de queijo and one filled with guava. The coffee was great, but I was blown away by how delicious the pao de queijo was. It's more savory than sweet and the guava filling wasn't overwhelming in the way that, say, a jelly donut can be. The texture is completely addictive. One of these breads and a coffee is a great start to the day.

This is supposedly a niche Brazilian brunch spot. Aside from the signature pão de queijo (cheese…read morebread), it doesn't have a strong regional feature; it offered more like a light/white-style/pretty meal. But enough said, it was delicious!! Traditional pão de queijo: My first time trying it, the texture was so interesting! The outside was hard, crisp, and slightly rough, a bit like chapata; the inside was soft and delicate, but also porous, slightly moist, and very chewy. If I had to find a close relative, it might be mochi (bread). A subtle saltiness established a solid base flavor, the main notes are cheese and wheat, with a hidden hint of black pepper --everything I wanted. It was perfect for sandwiches, just like the ones they offer, though a little too small. Soft & Creamy Scrambled Eggs: I haven't had such good Western-style scrambled eggs in ages... "Soft & creamy" is no exaggeration. One bite is bursting with the aroma of eggs and butter, not greasy at all, with the refreshing scent of basil. The warmth melts the Parmesan cheese perfectly, enhancing the creamy flavor and making the texture even smoother. You can choose your own sauce when ordering this dish, but I felt it wasn't really necessary. Beef Brisket: Relatively less impressive, but still acceptable. It's simply pan-fried, and the lean meat is a bit dry. I recommend slicing it transversely and eating it with pão de quiejo. The moisture in the bread alleviated the texture of the lean meat, and the meat's aroma and subtle smokiness enriched the bread. The above three items constitute the pao de quiejo & egg combo. Bacon can be replaced with beef brisket for an extra $1, a lighter and healthier option. Lemon Honey Chamomile Latte: It turned out, never try something you don't understand on the menu. The chamomile latte tastes exactly like chrysanthemum tea in those Cantonese dim sum with a little milk--bitter and cloying, incredibly bizarre. Lemon, honey, or even sugar? Not a chance.
