This is a Bakery/ food shop that sells other types of food items. I personally was not a fan of anything I ordered. Everything, I do mean everything did look very appealing upon getting it in front of me. Smelled good. Giant portions had me wowed. These local restaraunts are really hit or miss. I did not grow up with this particular chains taste in foods. I found nothing had any taste. Everything was just very bland to me. Not exactly bad though. Not sure if this is intentional to keep everything low salt and tad bit healthier. Maybe I was having a weird day. Pretty average pricing. Well worth it for the portion sizes. I was had high expectations from a place I've passed for years but never actually tried. I was disapointed. You will have to try it for yourself I guess. Start conservative with the smallest sized items. Not by any means a bad score. I'm just a critique who has a ranking going. Just a note I did not try any of pasteries this day. Just an update on Manne's Still the best bread in town Great sandwiches for a great price Make sure you order yours, hot or cold on a seated braided bun If you have enough room, definitely get an almond macaroon. These are the best around by far. They help is always local and they are always polite and willing to help you choose when you're in a dilemma between all the great products Don't miss out on the pizza, bakery style pizza, and delicious Parking is tough be careful. Don't pocket get mad. Everything on the inside of the store is the the same as it wasn't 20 years ago, but they keep it clean and it works. Stopped in Manne's Bakery after watching an on-line review touting it as having the best Cheese Steak/Steak and Cheese in Greater Boston. Well, not exactly, worst sandwich I have had in at least 10 years. Steak was tasteless, braided and seeded roll broke apart from the kitchen to my table. Plus the roll was cloyingly sweet, not a traditional Italian roll. Had 3 bites and threw the rest in the garbage. You have been warned!!! read more

Each time I come home to Boston, I try to stop by my favorite Italian bakery! The almond macaroons are my absolute favorite! I brought some back to Tampa and my mom loves the almond macaroons as well! Also my two years old son!! Yummy :) The cannolis and ricotta pie are next and I love them! The elephant ears are good. They also make these huge m&m cookies that I give to my nieces! They love them! This is a great bakery! I also remember them being on Phantom Gourmet years ago when I lived in Boston. Italian subs are amaaazing. I live over an hour away, I cant wait to go back because Im craving it now. They ruined Italian subs for me- I only want theirs! Seasoning, oil and mayo. Oh ya. BUT. Big but.. the bakery in my opinion is the complete opposite. I grew up around bakeries, my mother owned one so I ate her stuff and others too because of competition. Ive had cannolis wherever they're available! Unfortunately this bakery didn't do well, the cannolis were horrible, the chocolate cheesecake was inedible, and the third thing I got was the Lobster Tail which is pictured above- that was delicious. I would buy the Lobster Tail again for sure but nothing else. read more

I went here today for the first time and although the customer service was horrible...the pizza was lukewarm and dry, but it was still good I requested for my pepperoni slice to be reheated since it was lukewarm and the girl that works there says "our pizza is served on hot pans" but I've discovered this to be untrue. read more

I just want to say the sandwiches here are top notch. Really good size, price and I really like the bread they use. I always order ether the Italian or the Roast beef but will expand my palate to other offerings in the coming days. I think the prices are fair for their sandwiches but I have to take one star off for their pastries. Their cupcakes look really good and I ended up getting 4, at 2.50 a pop. They were not 2.50$ cupcakes, they were more in line with maybe 1.75$. What i did like was the fact that they have prices listed. I have been going to Luberto's for a while now and what really irritates me about that place is the fact that they don't post their prices. I hate that so it's nice to know what I'm actually buying. I also tried their 5.99 tray of brownies and they are good. 4 big slices, so 1.50 a square and they are thick and delicious. I only tried the walnut covered ones (and boy they were covered with a bazillion walnuts), but I assume the other ones (cheesecake and regular) were just as good since they probably use the same base. Would probably buy a few trays next time there's a family gathering after this whole Covid thing is over with. Service here is hit or miss. Sometimes I get this really nice girl who is very helpful and pleasant. Then other times I get one who's a total opposite of the first. They only allow maximum of 6 people in the store at a time so keep that in mind. Social distancing is alive and well here. read more

I grew up going to Italian bakeries and pastry shoppes. This is one of the few remaining in the Boston area. I casually stopped in but can honestly say I had the best piece of square pan pepperoni pizza and the best almond macaroon cookies that I have had in years! I said no its a ceasar salad she says yes we use this!! I say thats a garden salad tho , not what you use. She stares at me then goes in back n comes out n says Sorry we have no grilled chicken ", do you want a cutlet? . I say but you have a Caesar chk n wrap? She says yes! I feel like I'm twilight zone wth is happening here. I say ok Sit and wait 20 mins after I had her repeat order 2x. Got 2 cupcakes, sodas, cinnamon loaf , ziti dinner, pak of Italian cookies paid over 85.00 total . Get outside missing 1 sub stk n cheese with peppers, go back in she says we Didn't order that. Im like she repeated order back to me-yes we did!! Lack of understanding english is big issue. Clearly pissed my husband didn't want to wait. I ordered a large turkey and cheese sub. Wow! It was huge enough for two people didn't add anything special just meat, cheese and the bread.

Very friendly staff but the quality of bakery items was poor. Low grade grocery store poor which is surprising.

Convinced this place is a mafia front because there is no way they make money on their sandwhiches. Such big portions, so inexpensive, and so, so, good. Deserves six stars out of five. Not sure how any franchise sandwich place/fast food can survive with this juggernaut in town read more

Would have given them a four star review, if not for the two very arrogant young ladies working there today. I went in for pastries took a friend with me I actually bought him pastries to take to his family. I really enjoy the pastries and food there. Today was a no different the pastries were good the family even called me to thank me and told me how good it was. But the two girls were making fun of the friend that wis with me because he had in a pair of glasses that blind people wear and a mask. The heavier girl went as far as walking to the doorway but the bread to take a picture of him laughing at him all the while... I've lived in Revere for over 12 years and finally decided to try Manne's out after picking up a delivery for DoorDash from them. I got the chicken parm sandwich and it was incredible. It is so filling that you can have it for both lunch and dinner. The roll it comes on is ridiculously fresh and tasted great. I also had a chicken broccoli ziti from Manne's and it was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more goodies there soon. It's now a staple in my weekly lunch spots! read more

Really good steak bomb. All the ingredients tasted super fresh, especially the bread which I guess makes sense coming from a bakery lol. The bread did have a little bit of trouble supporting the contents, but I just chalk that up to the really impressive heft of the sandwich. They load that thing up big time read more

I've only been here once, but, it was worthy of 5 stars for my one visit. I've been to the big bakery down the street many times. It's always just meh to me. Mannes has the absolute best rainbow cookies I've EVER had! Exactly what I'm looking for! I never thought another bakery could outshine my beloved Virgilios in Gloucester, but, HAIL TO THE KING! Do yourself a favor and skip this place! I have been a customer for over eight years and I have always given this place a rave review. However the last two times I have gone into this place the girl has been extremely rude. After the second time I contacted the owner his response was "well I can't get people to work so what would you like me to do. She won't be fired." I never once asked her to be fired. I just asked her to be held responsible. Then he did the whole turn it around on the customer and said I was being rude to him! I wish I had! I usually love Manne's. Order sandwiches and pizza often. Today, sandwiches were great! Pizza, was clearly a day or so old and reheated to the point the crust was rock hard. Very disappointing since Manne's is our usual go-to quick lunch delivery. Manne's bakery makes the best sandwiches in the Northshore hands down. What makes the sandwiches exceptional and better than the rest is that the owners make the bread fresh every morning. It is obvious that this establishment cares about the product they put out because the toppings and meat are all high quality and pack the bread with so much that it pours out almost. They've had the same employees for years so it goes to show you that they truly care about the service, product and experience they give out. They also have a huge selection of freshly made pastries and breads that are all to die for. Why go all the way into Boston when you get the best Cannoli you have ever had right in Revere? I love this place so much, but in the past I would only go there for the cannoli. I tried a bunch of other stuff a few weeks ago, and it was all great. So far I have tried the Apple Pie, several of their breads, Stuffed Shells, Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, and their Bakery pizza. Everything I ordered was the freshest most delicious. I ordered a Ham and provolone small sub on seeded roll, 4pieces of Sicillian Pizza, very good but it shold be kept under refrigeration if it has cheese in it or some people can get sick!
