A really broad breakfast menu at moderate prices. My sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel was a great way to start the day. Lots of coffee. Not fancy, but very friendly and comfortable. I'll definitely be back here.

I can't say enough good things about My Diner!! I'm from Ohio, but anytime I'm in town I always make it a point to eat here at least once, usually more like 3-5 times. Breakfast food is the best food, and finding a casual diner with vegan options is practically unheard of. My personal favorites are the vegan waffles and vegan omelette, but I've had all of their options and everything SLAPS. Service is always super fast and the staff is so friendly! Genuinely one of my favorite places in the state of Massachusetts, if not the entire world. The only thing I would change is for them to be open 24 hours so I could eat there whenever I want!

Good local spot for breakfast/brunch. There is not a ton of seating, but I was able to walk in and sit down on a Sunday just after the morning rush.

Vegan tofu scramble with veggies. Delish!

Really good food and quick service. Had a pastrami and Swiss at lunchtime. Coffee could've been better. Need to go back for breakfast.

The food is pretty good but you shouldn't ask people for a tip especially with takeout.

Early Harvest Diner - Jay's Favorite Plate- very good

    Early Harvest Diner

    (233 reviews)

Early Harvest Diner in Wakefield, MA is a solid neighborhood breakfast spot with a…read moresmall-to-medium-sized dining room and a good amount of seating. They offer regular table seating, counter seats, and booths. The booths, however, are pretty uncomfortable--despite having a cushion, you immediately feel the wooden board underneath when you sit down, which takes away from the experience a bit. We went around 11:00 AM on a Saturday and were seated quickly with no wait, though I can imagine on a busier morning there could be a decent wait time given the diner's size. The menu has a good variety, but pricing can be a little confusing. Some menu prices don't always reflect the final cost due to fluctuating egg prices. There is a sticker noting this, but it's easy to miss and may not be obvious to customers. We ordered the steak and eggs, which came out to $20 and was cooked nicely to a true medium rare. The hash browns weren't overdone and had a great crunch on the outside. The pancake we tried was very fluffy, and their iced coffee was genuinely delicious. We also ordered the Double Double, which also cost $20 and offered a decent portion of food for the price, along with sausage links as a side. They do offer real maple syrup for waffles or pancakes, though it costs extra. One thing I found to be a flaw is that the maple syrup and ketchup on the table had no labels--personally, I like knowing the brand or ingredients of what I'm eating. The same went for the hot sauce they offered; it was served in an unlabeled glass bottle. It tasted very similar to Frank's RedHot and had the same consistency, but it would be nice to know for sure. The staff is kind and attentive when it comes to taking your order and delivering food, but once the plates hit the table, check-ins are minimal. If you need something, you may have to flag someone down. Parking isn't bad since it's located in a plaza, and there's additional parking in the back if the main lot fills up. Overall, Early Harvest Diner is a nice place to grab breakfast with your family or significant other without breaking the bank. The food quality is solid, but the vibe could benefit from a refresh to feel a bit more cozy and modern.

The menu has lots of options, lots of apps, lots of things, just lots... Too much to choose from so we ordered it all... First off our server, I think Megan, or Monica - something with an M... she was kick ass! I love a good convo with a server where they dont just come off shytty - and she was great! Got a bunch of apps, and not sure if because of the night, because of the weather (it has snowed all week - we cant function here apparently when it snows, LOL) But most of the food wasnt as hot as I would have loved... Either they werent all ready together and they held off on bringing or they keep ready to go & warm as needed, I dont know - but it would have been nice if it was a little hotter... The soup was hot and OMG was it delish... Like good, good! The spinach was delish as well - we just ordered too many things (as usual) will def plan to go back with the hubby so we can try some of the entrees... Yard House bills itself as the "world's largest selection of draft beer" and although I cannot independently verify that, they did have a vast selection of beers and ciders on draft. I went with Woodchuck's pineapple cider (they were out of the Woodchuck blueberry cider) and it was great. For food, I ordered the kurobuta pork burger that features Snake River Farms Berkshire pork, spicy candied bacon, white American cheese, arugula, and house-made blueberry ketchup. For $2 extra I upgraded from the house fries to onion rings. The seeded roll for the burger was great and the pork was juicy and flavorful. The blueberry ketchup was such a good take on the classic condiment. The onion rings were a nice change from the traditional fries but overall were just average in taste. The server was friendly and attentive. Overall, I would definitely return to Yard House to try some of their wide selection of beers on tap and fun food items on the menu.

I've had a lot of lattes, and although the cinnamon bun latte was good - I found myself staring at someone's Banana's foster latte more often than I can count (I will definitely be returning to try that out). What stuck out to me was the food. I get nervous going to Italian cafes and restaurants as someone with Celiac disease because it is easy to get cross contamination. However, this cafe has a dedicated space to prepare foods for those who have allergies. I felt safe having my "New Englander" breakfast sandwich (GF bread, maple syrup, bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese) along with my coffee and getting some much needed work done in a corner of their cafe. It was PACKED the day I went which is something to keep in mind if you plan on sitting for a bit since their dining area isn't giant. As for parking, there is limited "dedicated" parking around but there is a church parking lot across the street that doesn't have posted private parking rules or labels. (This is definitely where I parked and didn't face any issues). Overall, I definitely plan to return to get another yummy latte and another gluten free breakfast sandwich.

While I was waiting for my coffee, the guy from across the street came in yelling for me to move my car that was parked on the street (legally) in front of his house/business. My car had my wife and 4 month old in it and he accosted her before coming to find me. To top things off, Cibo screwed up the order completely. What a disaster, I couldn't even believe people were still ordering after walking in and seeing 20 people waiting for their order. It seems like a decent place but they should shut their order ahead off if they can't handle it. This experience made me never want to step foot in Wakefield again. I surely won't be going back to Cibo. I can't find a reason to provide more than a star here.
