Both the roti and xuong ram were good- slightly on the oily side but packed with flavour. I appreciated that they de-bone the chicken thighs for the ga roti which made it much easier to eat. I've been here so many times over the years and I don't know why we don't frequent this location more than their sister location (Quan Hy). If you like Quan Hy, this is their sister location, which has more parking and less crowded and less crazy, easier to dine in. This is our first time returning back to this restaurant since Covid. We ordered the bún mang vịt and the fried salmon with rice. The salmon piece was so thin and the bun mang vịt bowl was so small. Taste wise, they're both average, not too good but not bad either. Also there are no utensils or condiments on the table at all, you must ask for everything. This was on the menu but in reality, you really shouldn't order pho at a place that doesn't have pho in the title and I'll tell you why. The pho here was awful. They don't sell wide noodle option, their take out option comes in a box not bowl to make your pho in and the noodles are raw not cooked. She did not understand what i meant by "you might like the egg rolls better." They don't have Vietnamese beers. So I ordered something else. We got the potstickers and they were what i thought they would be. They're not fried. They're steamed and very soft. She was put off by the texture alone. I ate two of them. Their filling is neither extensive or that flavorful. They're ok. The pho came with al of the normal accompaniments, though i'm normally used to a pepper, which was not there. The hoisin and siracha side was very small: i needed more. i asked for more siracha and the server appeared annoyed by my request. after steeping the sides and adding the sauces, the pho broth was very good. There wasn't much meat. It was literally one meatball cut up and a few pieces of meat. It was the least amount of meat i've ever had in eating pho more than 500 times. But that's this place. 3.5 stars Quan Hop is a Hue place - this means you should order their bún bò Hu, bánh bèo, banh it ram, etc - so like traditionally Hue dishes. I had to call an audible since the restaurant I originally wanted to dine at only accepted CC so I ended up ordering the bún riêu ($9.95) which isn't Kosher at this restaurant. All that aside, I thought the bún riêu was pretty good, although not great. The vermicelli noodles are heaped with fried tofu, crab/shrimp paste, tomatoes and in their variation, includes escargot. There are tiny pieces of crab afloat in the soup as well. Each bowl comes with a side of cabbage, lettuce, and other assorted greens. The broth was a little lacking in flavor, but this was remedied with some mam ruoc. I also ordered a plate of banh it ram ($7.95 for 3) to go which was really good. The ram held up in crunchiness as I transported the dish home and the banh it was well proportioned in dough to meat ratio. I noticed that other patrons were in it for the banh beo.
