Hủ Tiếu Mì Á Đông
Lauren D.

Good food! The menu has decent options and I found the place to be a lot better than some previous restaurants that we've been to. I highly recommend getting the dầu cháo quẩy, mì, hủ tiếu, and mì xào giòn. Each mì and hủ tiếu bowl comes with a shrimp cracker. * Dầu Cháo Quẩy: 9/10 - nice crisp and flavor but oily * Mì Tôm Chiên: 7/10 - combination was interesting * Mì Hải Vị: 9/10 - plenty of seafood * Hủ Tiếu Mì Á Đông: 9/10 - good variations of meat and seafood * Mì Xào Mềm Bò Mực: 7/10 - liked the flavor but think the fried egg noodle would've been better I enjoyed my meal and would come back again, but there are a couple of things that I think are important to keep in mind: - It's CASH ONLY - Some items on the menu didn't have a price so it's a mystery when you pay the bill The workers were attentive and the place had plenty of tables. It's located in the popular Fountain Valley Town Center so there's always plenty of parking. Be sure to stop by!

BRING YOUR CASH!! I was craving Mi Vang (Egg Noodle Soup) and this place popped up first! I got the Mi A Dong Nuoc (Small) which was enough for me. It came with a special combo of chicken, pork, liver, fish balls, and shrimp! The broth was flavorful and the portions were filling. My favorite part was the shrimp for sure due to how juicy it was. I washed it down with a Soda Chanh, which had a great mixture of carbonation and lime soda! I would probably come back and get their Wonton Egg Noodle Soup to try!

We were not sure what we wanted to eat so noodles were always a good choice. The restaurant looked clean and the owner/ waiter was nice. We looked at the menu and waited to get our orders in then I realized that it's Cash Only. My daughter and I were a bit flustered since I never have cash on me and she's broke! . We were about to leave but the owner told us they take Zelle. Foods I had Mi A Dong special dry 1/2 Egg noodles 1/2 rice noodles. The egg noodles were good but they use pad Thai noodles for the rice noodles and it didn't taste right texturally. The soup that came with the noodles tasted good, the aroma reminded me of the noodles cart in Sai Gon which brought me back to my childhood memories 7/10. I also ordered a salted fish fried rice and that was excellent 10/10. My daughter had shaken beef and she was happy with it. 7/10. I will come back for the fried rice again.

Food was pretty good, not the best Roasted Duck Noodles I've ever had but still pretty good, the presentation of the food was glistening though.

I ordered egg noodle and rice noodle combo seafood soup. Not pictured but the broth is delicious. So much flavor yet tastes clean at the same time. The dry egg noodle with duck is pictured and I ordered it for to go. I was pleasantly surprised there is actually meat on the duck - I used to frequent mi la cay but lately when I have gone it's all bones. The service is what you expect of any small viet restaurant. Ambiance is pretty standard. I'll defs be coming back

Delish - best after a night of drinking, great service and delicious mi. We came after a weekend in Vegas, and boy oh boy was this delicious.

Food: 5/5 I love this place!! Every time my family goes to Santa Ana, we always go here when I'm craving egg noodle soup. I recommend the mi hai vi, dry but their mi a dong is also a solid choice for those who prefer near over seafood. The portions are quite large so a small will do the trick! Service: 5/5 Extremely sweet and friendly workers! Ambiance: 5/5 The decorations are just like my home. I love it :)

I can't believe I have never been here after all these years living in the OC! Shame on me! Ironically, my out of state friend recommended this place for Mi Vit Tiem to me recently and that was how I got around to try this place out! It seems to be a mom and pop place and they have been here for a long time. The place is very clean and spacious and the couple is super friendly and nice! They specialized in anything noodles, the Chinese-Vietnamese style. My dad and I both got Mi Vit Tiem (special herbal duck noodle soup) and we got a Hu Tieu A Dong kho togo (flat rice dry special noodle). The broth and flavor of the duck noodle soup was so good! The meat was tender and falls off the bone easily! I believe they make their own noodle and their egg noodle is very chewy and crunchy at the same time. I would recommend this if you crave these Viet/Chinese style noodle dish. Cash only.

Mi A Dong was recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I stopped by for lunch! I ordered the egg noodles w/ duck and it was soooo good! I saw on another Yelp review, to ask for extra oyster sauce & extra fried fat which I did and I drizzled it on top of my noodles and it gave it an extra oomph of flavor! I would rate this dish 5/5. Cleanliness of restaurant and friendly staff I rate this 5/5. This foodie would def come back to try other noodle dishes!

came right at opening on Easter after our return from Vegas and this hit the spot. mi is one of my top favorite Vietnamese dishes-- so comforting, delicious and soul cleansing. we were immediately seated by a kind man and he got in our orders quick. our group of 5 had ordered the special (dac biet, imitation crab, a huge portion of chicken leg, etc), and wonton noodles. they also had duck mi amongst their other options (can't remember, didn't take a picture of the menu). they have other vietnamese dishes as well if you don't want just mi. i got the special-- it was flavorful and exactly what i want in a mi. the small bowl is enough, even for my guy friends. the broth was not heavy or oily. very spacious restaurant compared to a lot of other mi places.

I love this place and have been here since I was six. The owners are super sweet and have been serving up one of the best egg noodles since forever. My go to orders are the fried chicken egg noodles with soup on the side. The hu tieu with fish is a close second favorite of mine!! One of my death bed meals for sure.

So glad to have found a place with delicious egg noodles - perfectly made, great texture, good soup. -1 star for service..we wanted to order 3 dishes for 4 people because we weren't too hungry and the waiter just stood there waiting for us to place a 4th order..not sure if it was a language barrier but it was weird + they forgot my pork skin for my rice dish, -1 star for charging 90 cents for water :| also this place is cash only. Come for the food, not for the vibes.

Com Tam suon nuong with egg

One thing I've learned after going to this place is not listening to my mom's recommendations. She likes this place because of their stir fried pho, but tbh food and service are not great. We came on a Sunday for lunch intending on going to Quan Mii but the wait was too long so my mom recommended this place instead since it's in the same plaza. We had to wait for a bit because the place was full. When we got in, they didn't give us our menus for a while til we asked. Then, they took a really long time to take our order and everything came out slowly. To be fair, there was only one guy working the tables. I felt bad for him because he had to bring people in, take orders, bring out food, AND bus the tables. There was another guy helping to bring out food and a lady (maybe a manager) who was bringing out drinks They definitely were short staffed for a Sunday afternoon. In general, the floors were both dirty and slippery because of soup spills. It was really stuffy in the restaurant too, like there was no air circulation. My dad and my husband both ordered com tam suon nuong (grilled pork) with eggs but they somehow forgot to include the suon nuong in my husband's dish. Isn't that the main part?? We also had to ask for water several times bc they kept forgetting. As for my stir fried pho dish, it was ok. Not great, but at least they have a lot of veggies on the plate. I won't be returning, though my mom is a regular. Yes, it's like a mom and pop kind of place, but the food and service aren't great. There's better places in the area!

For their bun bo hue, quality of meat is always good and the broth is one of the few places that tastes like authentic BBH and not just a bunch of MSG. I like that they give you the chili sate on the side so you can customize the spice level. Veggies are always fresh when I go too! The server recommended we try bun bo hue, which they're famous for. We thought we were in the right place. However, it was a huge disappointment. The broth was bland, had no taste, but was way too sweet. No lemongrass at all. The broth wasn't hot enough, so we asked to be reheated. Very few toppings were a miss. We didn't even finish half a bowl because it tasted too bad. The service was slow, even though there were a couple of customers at that time. If we needed something, we asked ourselves when my server was. Won't recommend it to anyone. Will never come back!!!

I really like the young coconut avocado -- it's perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and not too heavy. My daughter loves the beignets because they are always served warm and fresh, which I really appreciate. The black coffee isn't too strong for me, though it might just be that I'm already used to a lot of caffeine. The shop itself isn't very big, but it's very clean and nicely decorated. The presentation of the drinks and desserts is also very eye-catching. Most importantly, the staff here are very friendly and welcoming, and they always treat customers nicely, which makes the experience even better. Parking can be a bit difficult. The spots close to the shop are limited, and sometimes you have to park a bit far away. Overall, a nice cozy spot I keep coming back to.

Lemme tell ya now tho..the hype is legit. On this Friday afternoon, I happened to be lunchin' w/ my mums in the same plaza at the new Mai Phat Mi Gia 2 and was craving a mid-day pick-me up, so we stopped by. Located in the heart of Little Saigon on Bolsa Ave, facing outwards towards the street & Bolsa Mini mall, Viland is a cute & quaint coffee shop ~ serving up your traditional Viet coffees & matcha drinks, but with modern twists. There is plenty of seating & tables inside and the modern decor is inviting for the perfect coffee date, catching up w/ friends, studying, or even a quick stop to satisfy your coffee cravings (like me!). You order at the counter and/or on their touch-screen monitor (by the front entrance), then you are given a buzzer to await for your order at the pick-up counter. The staff was friendly & very efficient. They had an extensive menu featuring specialty drinks, fresh pastries, and light bites. Both my mumsy & I opt'd to try the young coconut blended coffee cuz I've been in my coconut era lately. Lol It was $6 for a 16 oz..so decently priced. It's very reminiscent to a frap with yummy young coconut blended bits found within. The coffee was strong, but once mixed well w/ the coconut, the flavors married perfectly and it was very balanced. At times, I wished for a bit more coffee hit, but it was actually just refreshing enough to end our lunch date. Both my mom & I loved our coffees (and let me tell ya, she's a hard critic to please) and would definitely come back to try the many other drink offerings. I was super bummed that the beignets sold out already (mind you, we stopped by about 1:30 pm on a Friday)..so it must have been good. :( Darn, next time! Total RxFoodie recommend!!!

The hu tieu was decent. The noodles could have used more seasoning. The broth on the side was delicious though. I liked the toppings. My son loved slurping the noodles. Same with the rice porridge, though it had more flavor than the hu tieu. The donut in there was pretty good too. The spring rolls were basic. I did like how the carrots inside were pickled and added a bit of tang. The banh xeo tacos were interesting. Nice and crispy. I didn't anticipate all of the mushrooms, but it was good. Definitely needed the sauce. Interesting place to try!
