Ordered the bun bo nuong and some banh beo and both were just standard, nothing special. The quality of food has definitely dropped at Quan Hy. THe meat was dry and the banh beo lacked a lot of toppings. There are better places like Ngu Binh for Hue cuisine in GG/Westminster. Food took a long time to come out and staff did not come by our table, which was seated in the back. Parking is also horrible
Located in a plaza with other shops and restaurants so parking can be difficult at times. The restaurant space was bigger than expected. I had to wait a few minutes to get seated on a Saturday. Service was no frills. I ordered the bun Bo hue and banh it ram to try. The bun Bo hue was decent and the broth tasted light. It was my first time trying banh it ram and I thought it was okay. The bottom was crispy and the top part had a filling mixture of mushrooms and pork. There was also a sauce on the side. To pay, you take the paper the server gives you and pay at the counter.
Of course, after seeing the viral bánh ít ram (bánh ram ít) all over social media, we had to try it! We chose Quán Hỷ over some of the other popular spots because the reviews said the food had more flavor and the fried mochi layer was thinner. The bánh ít ram had really good flavor and was definitely worth trying. However, the fried mochi pieces were not consistent. Some were thicker, while others were thinner. They were also fried unevenly. A few had a nice crunch, but others could have been cooked longer. Overall, I think they ALL would have been even better with a more golden and crispy exterior. The bánh canh tôm cua reminded me of súp măng cua, so I enjoyed it. The broth was flavorful, and I personally love thick noodles. I have not tried enough versions of bánh canh to say exactly how it compares traditionally, but I liked this one more than another spot I previously tried. The bánh bèo also had a lot of flavor, and I liked that they were not too thick. I just wish they came with some chicharrones or another crunchy topping for more texture. Overall, the food was flavorful, and we would definitely return. Unfortunately, the share plates we received were not properly cleaned and still had food residue on them. We ended up cleaning them ourselves because it was difficult to flag someone down. The staff members were very nice whenever we interacted with them, but the service was not very attentive.
Came back today for some good old spot. The quality and service here is great. It's always a trip to Vietnam here with the beautiful pictures and fish tank. I love the flavors and the aroma that the food gives. The spice level is great and the bun beo shrimp cakes with the chill. Looking at the fish is relaxing. Nothing short of a great Vietnamese experience. High quality and ambience is very welcoming.
My friend and I came during lunch on a weekday and it was pretty empty. The service is very typical Viet restaurant, if you don't need anything they won't really come by to check on you but I honestly don't mind that. The ambiance was clean and simple. However, they should check the plates before serving them because ours was dirty so we didn't use it. I usually get their bun bo hue but this time we tried the banh beo and banh it ram. The banh beo is always on point with the perfect amount of toppings. The banh it ram was just okay, the filling lacked a little flavor and it was a bit greasy. Overall, still a solid spot for Central Vietnamese dishes!
Still a family favorite! The portions here are very generous and definitely more than enough for one person. You could probably even share a dish between two people if you're also ordering a few appetizers. The food was great as usual. My only complaint this time was that there didn't seem to be any air conditioning. I'm not sure if it's always like that, but it was pretty hot inside and made it a little difficult to fully enjoy the meal. Otherwise, still a spot we enjoy coming back to!
I have been here for literal decades at this point (anyone else remember the OG spot?). I will say first, parking at this plaza is a LITERAL NIGHTMARE. But I will always brave it for Hue food here. Restaurant itself has lots of seating and a cute fish tank in the middle. Love the decor. We never really have an issue with service here. Just gotta know how to get their attention I guess. I feel like I've tried the entire menu. But our MUST HAVEs are always banh beo and hu tieu hy. Yes, it seems kind of pricy for what you get, but I feel like the taste is there. Special shout out to the newest viral trend of banh it ram. Crunchy and chewy. We also get the vermicelli & bun bo hue here depending on how we are feeling.
Walking into the restaurant, it is actually quite beautiful. There's a little bridge over a little stream/pond that is very visually appealing and almost tranquil. My friend and I came in during lunchtime and it wasn't busy at all, maybe 3-5 tables had customers either eating or waiting to order. We were seated immediately, but then the server didn't return to take our drink order or anything for nearly 15 minutes. It actually took awhile for our food to arrive (nearly 30 mins., which was odd since there weren't that many people in the restaurant.) I ordered #28 - vermicelli with grilled pork and egg rolls. My friend ordered #9 egg rolls only. The food was hot, and at first glance, the bowl was quite full and had a hefty serving. However, I was very disappointed that my pork was very, very fatty. Not much meat on it and whatever meat that was on each cut wasn't very flavorful. The bowl was full of noodles and veggies but the proportions of noodles, veggies to meat and egg rolls weren't great. The dipping sauce also didn't have much flavor and was sort of watered down. While the server was nice, after bringing us our drinks and food, they never came back to check on us and also were difficult to find them to help us. We were ready for our check, but took while to find someone to bring it to us. Once the check came, they never came back to collect payment. I eventually went to the counter to get the bill paid so we could go. I love Vietnamese food, but this unfortunately fell short.
Last time I came here was over 4 years ago and I'll have to say the banh beo #1 was not hittin like it used to. We still finished it all but I would say it's just mediocre 6/10. We also ordered the Bun Bo Hue and it came out before our other 2 dishes (both of which is the same #28 Bun Thit Nuong cha gio ( grilled pork + eggrolls) . My dad took his first bite and the broth was literally cold. No steam coming out the bowl . We asked if they could at least heat it up because who eats a cold soup?! So they took it back to heat up and it came back well ..just warm but at this point dad was like it's fine I'll just eat it. The Bun thit Nuong + eggrolls 8/10, good size portion , I like the eggrolls because they are with the rice paper, so a true crisp Vietnamese eggroll. The fish sauce was a little bland. Place was clean! Maybe we just went on an off day but yeah , just meh for me.
Started with my absolute favorite, bánh bèo, because priorities. Those little steamed rice cakes disappeared way too fast. Then came the bún bò Huế, and ooof... the broth had so much flavor with just the right amount of spice. We also ordered Dish #39, which was another delicious choice with generous portions and great flavor. And if you're visiting during the summer, do yourself a favor and order the soda chanh. It's crisp, refreshing, and the perfect drink to cool off between bites. Everything tasted fresh, the service was friendly, and I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. 10/10 would happily roll myself back here.
I used to come here all the time with my family for their bun bo hue! The other day though I wasn't very hungry and just got their banh beo. The banh beo was pretty good. It's pretty hard to mess up but it wasn't mushy and the toppings weren't dry and they were pretty generous with the toppings! For their bun bo hue, quality of meat is always good and the broth is one of the few places that tastes like authentic BBH and not just a bunch of MSG. I like that they give you the chili sate on the side so you can customize the spice level. Veggies are always fresh when I go too! I actually really liked the decor inside so much that I took a picture LOL. Service was quick and friendly!
Best place in Bolsa to have central viet dishes!! I've been coming here for over 10 years and I have always gotten the banh beo, I especially love their fish sauce! Their service is also pretty fast I tried the banh it ram today and it was AMAZING!! It was super crunchy and really stuffed inside with pork and shrimp. The plate comes with 3 pieces for ~ $11 but I was totally full from it! I also tried the bun hen but it was pretty bitter from all the greens, and the sauce was a little too salty. My friend said other restaurants does it better
Had such a great experience at Quan Hy Restaurant. We ordered the banh beo chay and the bun bo nuong dac biet, and both were amazing. The banh beo chay was easily a 10/10. It was so creamy and soft, it literally melted and fell apart in my mouth. The toppings were perfectly balanced, not too salty, and had a rich umami flavor that just sat perfectly. You can tell they really care about texture and flavor. The bun bo nuong dac biet was also super yummy. It was my girlfriend's first time trying it and she loved it. The filet mignon was the clear standout: so tender, juicy, and it melted in my mouth. The shrimp was seasoned really well and added a nice touch, but that filet mignon truly stole the show. Service was honestly 100/10. They were literally hustling; running around to get drinks, food, and anything we needed. Everything came out quickly and they were super attentive. And shoutout to the host for seating us on the same side of the table (he knew ball). Overall an amazing experience: great food, great vibes, and top-tier service. Definitely coming back.
I've been coming to Quan Hy since I was younger, but this was my first time back in a while, and I'm happy to say it was just as good as I remembered. We arrived around 5:50 pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. The staff was very kind and efficient throughout the meal. I've seen some reviews mention poor service, but that wasn't my experience at all. The service felt pretty typical of a Vietnamese restaurant to me: quick, straightforward, and efficient. I can see how that style may come across differently if you're not used to it, but everyone was kind and we had a great experience. We ordered the Banh It Ram and Bun Bo Hue. The Banh It Ram was amazing. I love how generously they fill the banh it, while the banh ram underneath stays crisp without being too thick. The textures feel really balanced. With Banh It Ram getting more attention online lately, I'm honestly surprised I don't see Quan Hy mentioned more often. The Bun Bo Hue was just as memorable. The broth was incredibly flavorful, and I liked that the chili was served on the side so you could adjust the spice level yourself. Parking is in a fairly busy plaza, so availability really depends on when you visit. It was really nice coming back after so long and finding the food still so consistent. The little bánh bèo were another favorite -- soft and delicate with generous shrimp topping, crispy bits, green onion, and a flavorful fish sauce that brought everything together perfectly. Best place to get Banh beo. Never disappoints. Service is as expected. You need to flag people in an Asian restaurant lol. Great and spacious restaurant. I always get seated next to the fish aquarium and it's fun to watch. read more

i got the bun bo hue and it was alright! the ambiance of the place was better than the food. The interior was very nice with an aquarium in the middle and a bridge entrance. The bun bo hue had tender meat and lots of veggies on the side but honestly the broth was a bit flavorless. But if you enjoy lighter broths you will enjoy it! it has the flavor of bun bo hue but was not as spicy, salty, or aromatic as i was hoping for. the noodles texture was also lackluster. tendon was really good! i would order something else though if you love a flavorful bun bo read more
Had a friend take me to this restaurant as he claimed that is one of the better Vietnamese restaurants. I have to say it did not disappoint. Tried both their number #35 and #52. 35 is a combination of everything which includes grilled pork, shrimp , egg rolls and shrimp balls which are just like fish cake. This is served on rice noodles. 52 was awesome as it's toasted chicken served with fried sticky rice. I would highly recommend to try this dish. Their fish sauce is really good. read more

Came here just for the banh beo! So yummy we demolished all of them and ordered their noodle bowls. All do their menu items have a great price, the vermicelli we got was about $14 for a bowl, so worth! Will be coming back :) read more
The restaurant is very cute and the staff are very nice. It is located in T&K center. The bun bo hue & thit nuong cuon are flavorful. The rolls have a lot of mints which I like. It might be strong for you if you are not used to Vietnamese mints. They also have complimentary desserts. We will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu :) read more
The food was yummy. For an appetizer the go-to is the Banh beo, and I also got a noodle soup with crab and shrimp balls and a rice vermicelli with grilled pork and some egg rolls. The interior is nicely decorated with plenty of seating and a cute fish tank in the middle, and service was ok. read more

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the workers provide great service. The Banh Beo was very sticky and a thinner batter compared to other places. The shrimp in it was fresh ground shrimp, I prefer dried ground shrimp. The Bun Bo Hue and Banh It Ram were good. Parking can be tricky in this plaza when it gets busy. read more
It'd be a 1 star if it wasn't for the friendly server and nice interior. We had high expectations for the restaurant considering the menu had good options and seemed promising. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed with the terrible quality of the ingredients and unusual flavors. * Bánh Bèo: 6/10 - shrimp didn't taste fresh at all * Bánh Bèo Chả Tôm Chả Huế: 5/10 - the additional plate of shrimp and pork patties was just weird and didn't make sense * Mì Quảng Đặc Biệt Có Sứa: 7/10 - flavor was weird * Gỏi Hến: 6/10 - sesame crackers were old and didn't go with the salad * Iced Tea: 9/10 - refreshing There seemed to only be 1 server working and he was friendly and kind. The interior was nice and they have a cute bridge when you first walk in. The restaurant is located in the Today Plaza so it can get crowded at peak times. Extremely disappointed and we don't plan on coming back any time soon -- or ever. read more
You won't find any pho here . My favorite soup is Bún bò Huế , and this place does it well . If you're not familiar you gotta give it a try . Think more along the lines of menudo vs pho . Pork Bone , tender thinly sliced beef & a deep clear / red semi spicy soup broth . Sides of delicious herbs , cilantro & basil & im not even sure what one of them is but it has a citrus flavor . Food: Mediocre I remember coming here before and it was really good, especially the banh it ram. Unfortunately, left disappointed. Broken Rice Pork 2/5: they used jasmine rice and the meat had too much lemon grass. Banh It ram 2/5: bottom wasn't crispy, the dough seemed not cooked well Goi Hen 3/5: a lot of snail but not flavor Service & store : really good service. I got the filet mignon vermicelli bowl for the first time and I was honestly disappointed. I thought the filet mignon would come in chunks but it was minced. The eggrolls which I usually love werent as good this time and the fish sauce felt lacking compared to before as well. I would recommend getting their bun bo hue or the pork vermicelli bowls instead of the filet mignon. Was seated instantly, and got our food in 10-15 minutes. Tables were also kind of sticky by the way. Keep in mind; I think if I had ordered my typical dishes theres a chance I wouldve rated it a 4 star instead. read more
Ordered: #9: Chả Giò đặc biệt (shrimp, meat and crab egg rolls). #19: Bún bò Huế (noodle soup with pork leg and beef). #1: Bánh bèo (steamed rice cakes with shredded shrimp). #3: Bánh bèo chả tôm chả huế (steamed rice cakes with shredded shrimp, shrimp patties or pork patties) This was my first time trying bunh bo hue, it was good but not my favorite (I prefer pho still). The noodles have good bounce and the soup is good. I LOVED the banh beo. I was scared to order banh beo because the first time i had it i really didn't like it (was dry and bland). The one here is flavorful, sweet and has a nice texture. I also LOVED the egg rolls. They were fresh and crispy and paired so well wrapped with the veggies. I do think that we needed more lettuce for wrapping them thought. read more

Very delicious! I really liked the banh beo since it came out with the plates warm so kept evening warm. Also the fish sause with the jalepeno gave it a good kick. The bun bo hue is tasty and comes with tendon too which is great form collegen! The place is also decorated beautiful with fishes in the middle to look at and it's also great for the kids to enjoy. read more
I don't have Vietnamese food often but I really liked this place. The food was great, especially the rice cake appetizer. It came with 8 small plates and we ordered one order of shrimp and another of mushroom. The mushroom one was vegetarian and tasted really good. My only issue was that the dish was listed under the "vegetarian" section, so we didn't know it was going to be an appetizer. However the pricing was pretty fair at around $10. The restaurant itself was really clean and had a great ambiance. The staff was also really nice! read more
When you walk in, the restaurant is very open and spacious. You must walk over a joy fish pond bridge upon entry, although it seems they no longer have fish under the bridge. They also have a large fish tank located across the center of the restaurant (fish not available for eating! FISH ARE FRIENDS NOT FOOD) I have been going to this place for years, the food is consistent and they offer plenty of vegetarian options. I like that they offer fresh chili. The food is made to order and feels very homey. The service is usually quick and attentive; however there have been a few times where the restaurant is empty and I'd have to wave them down. read more
