This has been very long overdue. My family and I have been going here for years and I can't believe I never wrote a review for this place ever. This is a family owned business. Grandma still runs the show and she is always sitting at the cashier table. It is cash only but they comp priests and religious people since they are a Catholic family. Everyone here is so nice and I think they have been working here for years, it's always the same staff. Their food is comfort food and I love their canh bun here. A big fan of Bun Rieu so this bowl comes naturally. The broth is nice and seasoned well so I don't have to use mam tom (shrimp paste). It's taste good take out or dine in. The portions are huge and the price is relatively low. I had no issues with the staff and they served promptly and politely. This is a typical Vietnamese old fashioned joint so service is not a priority. If you can bypass that and just judge the place for its food, the Canh Bun won't disappoint.
