I've visited many times and it is always a disappointing experience. If you're looking to buy anything from the deli, forget it. Go to the Trader Joe's next door. The QFC sushi counter is decent-- no complaints there. But I can't eat sushi every single day, and this place practically forces me to and I hate them for it. To be fair, this location is staffed with the friendly customer service folks who are always helpful; they keep the store clean and are quick to assist. The shelves are stocked neatly, and the staff is really deserving of praise. They're nice and all, but I don't go there for the excellent customer service-- I heavily rely on their deli area for breakfast or lunch, it is reliably bad. QFC's pre-packaged sandwiches are poorly made, contain a single slice of thin meat and a partial piece of cheese on the cheapest bread ever created by man. It's actually insulting considering the price. I'm not going to ask their bustling skeleton crew to stop and make me an on-demand sandwich, I want to grab and go. For a while, I thought if I just avoided the sandwiches, I'd have a better time. Nope! Lately, their refrigerated cases have been freezing the salads (literal iceberg lettuce) to the point where it is just completely inedible. ffs, I give up. The rest of the store is a typical shopping experience. I'm sure it's fine if you're buying shelf stable items or food actually meant to be frozen... Just check the expiration dates. QFC is a trash-tier grocery store in general regardless of location, you're better off going to Safeway or anywhere else if you can help it. read more

The Bella Bottega location nearby is preferable to this location in just about every way. This location is dimly lit and does not have the greatest selection, but it is closer to Downtown Redmond and within reasonable walking distance to the light rail station. It is also a few doors down from Trader Joe's, so you can shop at both on the same trip which I think is the best selling point. read more

QFC @ REDMOND I've been to this location a couple times and have always really liked it. Great people and great products. Super easy parking right out front, gets pretty busy on the weekends as it also shares with other stores such as Trader Joes or Starbucks. The selection and food is great, always having deals especially using their QFC digital app. Overall, I really enjoy coming to this location, but definitely check out Kirkland's as it's a lot larger as well. read more

QFC - Self checkout hardly works - Grocery Near Me - Redmond, Washington

QFC, officially, Quality Food Center, was a local supermarket chain before they were acquired by Kroger. For all intents and purposes, this has become a three star grocery chain. There are numerous commonalities, leveraging the Kroger in house brands, that turned QFC into generic forms similar to Fred Meyer. The "Quality" that it once stood out for has been normalized. However, I am choosing to write a review for one reason. I love their "WooHoo" items. Though the WooHoo items are throughout the store, produce, diary, and bakery departments are gems for last minute buys at very reasonable, if not simply low costs. If you can be flexible with your meal planning, you'll find great deals. FYI this parking lot is very busy, especially on the half with Trader Joe's. Always park on the other side. read more

Everytime I come to this QFC I instantly regret it. Its such a lower end one. As soon as you walk in it smells terrible. Im not sure if its mold from being there for so long or a mix of the people inside. But, its fairly dreadful getting in & out & trying to find the best of what you're looking for in a hurry. I know everytime I go in I just am over it. There's always a wait in the lines, I feel like its never very clean. It reminds me of a dungeon. All three words of QFC's title ring true to me. There is food here, it is of a high quality, and it is located in a convenient location that is close to my home. Wow, that's like everything to love about a store. There is another QFC in Redmond only about half a mile north from this one, and I still don't know why they built two of them so close together, but how can you complain about having too much good food? I've been coming to this store for years. I remember how back in around 2003, I would ride my bike here to use the free internet on their public computers in the cafe. I don't know what happened to that; I still wonder when and why they took those computers away. That's the only time I can think of where a grocery store let people use computers for free. I also remember using the pay phone at this QFC to make way too many collect calls to my parents when I was younger. Now, I like to visit their bakery to buy tarts. These tarts can be quite big and usually require a one-day notice before you can pick them up; they normally don't have them ready and thus need some time to make the treats with specific requests. If you ask for strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, and raspberries, they'll make an exquisite work of art for you that is a joy for the taste buds as well. It's so beautifully crafted that you'd think it came from a smaller private bakery or something. This QFC has always satisfied my expectations with its clean and professional atmosphere. read more

I shopped there for more than a decade. They are now rude. They force you to use the robot tellers. I'm elderly and have mobility issues and was mildly concerned. I use the cart and the check stand for balance. They laughed at me as I was leaving. I used to shop for specialty items there even though the store is generally pricey. Don't eat the Sushi ! I should know better than to eat grocery store sushi anyway. But it actually looked decent and I was hungry. I had the tuna roll. The fish was bad, not fresh, something definitely wrong with it and not eatable. I threw it out and just figured I wouldn't eat there again. I live close and shop there all the time. A week later when I was in there I decided to let the lady at the shushing place know about the bad fish. She was so rude and told me she's seen me here before? I told her most likely because I shop here all the time. insinuating I bring back sushi for more sushi I guess. I explained to her I just thought I would let her know it was bad, I didn't ask for a refund or a replacement. Although they should give one beings it was nasty fish. The way I was treated was so disrespectful it was amazing. I explained to her I don't need to lie to try to get a free piece of sushi I just wanted to let them know. She said she makes the sushi every morning, and that may be but the ingredients were not fresh that she used! And she again said I've seen you here before?? And very rudely. This place is normally a good place to shop. Today however the clerk was rude and short with me. When I said "I do not want the plastic bag" she refused to keep it for the next customer. Causing an awkward interaction so that I would take the bag. I walked around to the used bag return (recycle) location and contributed to the plastic waste situation. Parking is a pain here. I just remember driving here from Redmond Way or the other direction can both be very tricky. There is a lot of traffic nearby and it is difficult to just turn and try to get into the parking lot. I know it is probably not that different from the QFC next door but it seems pretty difficult to find parking here. There are actually a lot of stores around here. Everything seems so crammed together. There is Staples, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, etc. The last time I was here, I was craving mac and cheese and I thought I'd stop by and get some from the deli section. Oh gosh, it was so bad. It was overcooked. And the mac and cheese has probably stayed out for too long. It was way too salty for me. Never again. That was a first: getting QFC deli and it actually tasted bad! read more

This QFC is great if I need something quick because it's close to my house, but often times items are out of stock when I do need them, which is a pain. I often have trouble finding the right cut of meat here, where I don't have trouble at Fred Meyer. I would really like to give them five stars, but the amount of times I've been in a rush and gone over to QFC and then had to go across town to Fred Meyer instead makes me take that one star off. I'm not usually a fan of QFCs - they tend to be more expensive than most grocery stores. This one, however, is not so much like that. They are really good about marking down items before they expire, and that's when I swoop in. Yes, I will take the six packages of beef that are half off and have a sell-by date marked tomorrow. I will buy the heck out of that stuff. I won't tell all my secrets, but yeah - time it right, and you get massive deals on some food. Parking is fine, though when it rains really hard, you can find some massive puddles, which are annoying. Most of the produce is on the high end price-wise, but you can get bananas there for $0.49/lb, which is way lower than most places. Sold. I love me some bargains. And until we get a Winco on the Eastside, I super love me some QFC. read more

The only redeeming quality about this "quality foods center" after 9pm is the one employee that works near the self-checkout stations. He handles the entire store and he while he is great- the other employees are horrible. They just goof-off in the back of the store- playing on heavy equipment while forcing customers out of their way so they can just play around. Will never go there again at night. read more

This QFC location is 0.5 miles away from another QFC location in Bella Bottega. This location is small, and the parking lot can be a nightmare. The interior felt rushed, busy, and hectic. There are only four self-checkouts, and when I grabbed a wrap from the deli, it wasn't tagged with a barcode. The employee monitoring the self-checkout area seemed very annoyed that I grabbed the wrap without a barcode because she had to go get another one to scan. Wasn't very friendly at all. I noticed other parts of the store were messy as well. I've been to many QFC's in the area, and this one takes the prize for being my least favorite. I don't plan on returning here. read more

Jerky followup: Cross-cut (against the grain) jerky turned out WAY crumbly, just going on to show that the old butcher's judgement was not worth JACK (when he decided to trump my request for WITH the grain cuts, by cutting AGAINST the grain). Golden Steer did a better job manually cutting yesterday than the old geriatric dude at QFC. (Again, like a professional, they cut one slice for my approval before butchering the whole thing. The QFC old guy really needs to learn this.) :-/ So for Jerky, I will avoid QFC's meat section from now on, unless I have a IMMEDIATE need and the younger butcher is working. The rest of the store is still fine. The florist is INSANELY helpful. :-) The place is open 24/7, which is GREAT too. The liquor section is kinda dark and secluded, so feels kinda sketchy, but whatever. I still think they should move the magazine/card section towards the florist area. Magazines just become an afterthought that you only notice after checkout, and are walking out. :-/ read more

Speaking of supermarkets, Zach, what about QFC? This QFC is right next door to Trader Joe's, and is the perfect compliment to Trader Joe's. What they lack and are poor at, QFC picks up and in and of itself, is a fine store. Pretty convenient, right Zach? It's a tidy operation, with generally nice staff. Being a "loyal customer" pays off with some effective discounts. I need to get a card next time. Remind me later, Zach. The selection is typical and broad, and the deli has the same going for it. This isn't the most amazing QFC I've ever laid eyes, but I like it. It's clean, organized, and has good discounts (unlike other QFCs I've been to). It's extra nice because there is a Trader Joe's right next door to supplement your grocery trip with everything pretzels. Yum! They don't have a pharmacy and the parking lot can get crazy busy- I recommend you park on the non-Trader Joe's side for ease of egress. read more

This one is walking distance from work. I love it! During lunch hours, they have special for $6. You get to pick one entree and two sides in the deli. I love how cheap they are for a lunch deal and the variety of options in the deli. Plus, there are a couple very very friendly staff around. Since it's walking distance, coworkers and I will always share what's on sale in the store. It's very nice! read more

This is a very nice grocery store. Clean, well organized, friendly (for the most part) employees. They can have some really decent sales going sometimes, and you can always save a decent amount with your store membership card. They have great cut fruit, very cheap, and it has always been good. Their paper bags are really big which i like cause then i can use them as recycling bins at home. read more

Okay, I really like this QFC. The produce is always good and unlike Safeway I can buy food off the shelves and things without having to worry that it's expired. Why only the 2 stars? LEARN TO BAG. GEEZ. It's a backpack, not a labyrinth. So I'm trying to be green and save some f*cking whales. I haul my backpack and a reusable hemp (geez, screams hippie?) shopping bag around with me. And given your age, you look like someone who still uses a backpack for textbooks. You should be good at this. Have you ever eaten a banana? Know what happens to a banana if you should put it at the bottom of your backpack and then cram textbooks over it? Exactly what happens when you put my bananas at the bottom of my pack under cans and bottles, you little idiot. Thanks to at least 3 zitty adolescent inept boys, I've come home with bruised bananas, broken eggs, crushed packaging, and a dirty pack interior due to wet dirty things (like lettuce and carrots) slipping out of their bags DUE TO POOR BAGGING. And sure it's my fault that I keep forgetting to monitor the bagging. Why? I shouldn't have to. Do your job! read more

So my review is mostly for the floral dept. Although I do find the store manager helpful, most the employees here are not that friendly. However I have to give this store 5 stars because of their floral dept !!! Kristen, who runs their floral, makes me the best bouquets. I get in the dog house all the time. Never heard of this store before but needed some groceries while staying in an Airbnb nearby. The store was very clean and that caught me off guard because even the floors you could tell were mopped regularly. The prices were relatively low and when I needed help because the label printer for the bulk goods wasn't printing, I was helped immediately. read more

I am a fan of this location. Open 24 hours. Friendly baggers/cashiers. They carry the extremely rare baby formula I sometimes need. They also have a wide variety of chocolate bars. The plants section is affordable & attractive. What would I change? The parking lot can be a little overwhelming. Ideally I would add some seating to sit & eat the prepped food they sell. There is Starbucks seating but I would feel weird going there without buying a drink. As you can imagine, I am a satisfied customer overall. read more

I shop here a lot, and it's always clean with lots of QFC advantage deals. The only annoying thing is that there is another QFC less than a mile away, and they're set up slightly differently, so I always get a little confused about where things are. This QFC is not as new, but it is updated and reminds me of the QFC back in my hometown of Port Orchard, a little slower and a little more homey. read more

This is how I would rank the following eastside QFC stores: 1) Redmond being the best in terms of size, still great quality on produce and meats. 2) Totem Lake - a little bit smaller than the Redmond store but still great quality on produce and meats and overall selection. 3) Kirkland Park Place - tiny, small, not that great of selection, and always crowded and just seems more expensive. This QFC is alright, it's actually a smaller neighborhood kinda grocery store. Which I don't mind. There is another QFC not to far from here which is a bigger store that I like to go to. A bonus for this location is that it isn't really all that busy. So it's quick and easy to get in and out.
