Cream donuts in the chilled case
    Courtney L.

This location is attached to H Mart, so whenever I stop by to pick up some groceries (which actually isn't often), I can't resist grabbing a sweet treat or two. They have a variety of breads, sweet pastries, savory baked goods, cream-filled donuts, croissants, sandwiches and more. While I've never tried one of their cakes, they are nicely displayed behind the counter and look perfect for a special occasion. I've had my eye on their donuts for the longest time, so I picked up a few of those to share with my family in addition to a few other tempting items. + MANGO CREAM DONUT: This was delightful! The donut itself was fluffy and housed a generous portion of airy, smooth mango whipped cream. The mango flavor wasn't extremely prominent, but it was perfectly sweet and tasted very natural. (My mom said the same about the chocolate cream donut... it was fairly light in chocolate flavor.) At $4.50, the price is a little steep, but I really enjoyed it and would get it again. + CUSTARD BUN: This soft golden bun was filled with a thin layer of custard. I had to take a few bites before I could reach the custard, but I liked the bread itself which had a little sweetness. The custard was creamy and had a rich buttery flavor... not too sweet either. This would pair nicely with tea or coffee. + CARAMEL APPLE PIE: A beautiful flaky pastry with an apple filling. This was so much lighter than I expected and the apple filling was bright with a little hint of spice. I only had one bite of this one, but it tasted like autumn. Unfortunately, when I went at 11:00A, they were already out of the matcha croissant. I've had it once before and remember that the matcha cream was pretty strong! I also wanted to try the Shakerato coffee which was on the menu, but the employee said they no longer had it available. In the past, I got the Tiramisu Latte, but I wouldn't really say it was reminiscent of a tiramisu. When I went up to the counter to pay, I asked if there was a better way to pack the donuts other than placing them in the paper bags and the employee kindly packed them into foldable boxes, which I really appreciated. The next time I stop by H Mart, I'll be back here for another dessert run!

    Garlic Croissant

I used to go to the Bellevue location often, and it's been a while since I no longer work in Bellevue. We stopped by here after having had dinner nearby. I got a couple pastries, and one was a garlic croissant, and that was delicious. I've came back a few times, and I haven't seen that garlic croissant again, or maybe they were out, but would definitely get that again. They always have a lot of yummy looking pastries.

Cute pastry shop with lots of options! The strawberry croissant is my personal favorite. I love how the strawberries taste fresh and pair well with the cream. Service is quick and everyone is very helpful!

Newer location connected to H Mart. Pretty spacious location, but limited seating inside. Large parking lot in this plaza. The baked goods were very fresh and there was quite a selection. Also a variety of fancy cakes, whole or by the slice. Great for celebrating special occasions. Only one employee when I was there so if they get busy there could be a wait.

    Ube cream filled donut

While shopping at H Mart, I noticed this bakery tucked away past the checkout lines and naturally I had to check it out. The modern, clean, and bright white interior creats a very pleasant atmosphere. once inside, your focus shifts immediately to the vibrant colorful sweet treats! The menu offers a unique blend of French and Asian-inspired bakery items. From traditional breads to more creative, fusion-style items, they have it all. The Asian influence is evident in items like the Sweet Frank Roll, Soboro Bread, Custard Bun, and Taro Cream Bread. They also have unique sweet and savory options like the Red Bean Bread and Potato Cheese Bread. With so many tasty options, picking just one treat is no easy task. I ended up getting a Ube Cream Filled Donut, one of my favorites. Created to perfection, filled with the most delicious sweet Ube flavored cream, and it's soft donut texture makes this the perfect treat.

    Triple Berry cake
    Poojitha a.

We attended a friend's birthday party and enjoyed a delicious blueberry yogurt cream cake. The cake was light, sweet, and had a smooth, fluffy texture that everyone loved. Many guests even asked for a second piece. Impressed, we decided to order a cake from the same place for my husband's birthday. We chose a triple berry cake, which was good in its own unique way, though not as delightful as the blueberry yogurt cake. When I requested a "Happy Birthday" message on the cake, they informed me they didn't offer that service but provided an edible "Happy Birthday" logo, complimentary candles, matchsticks, and a beautifully designed knife for cutting and serving the cake. We also got some tasty macarons and noticed they had other delicious items to try. Although a bit pricey, I feel the cakes are worth it, especially compared to 85°C cakes. Given the choice between 85°C and this bakery, I would choose this one. I ordered the cake a day before the birthday, and they had it ready on time. They offer different cake sizes, though some cakes are available in only one size. The triple berry cake cost around $43 for the #2 size, (somewhere between $38 to $43.) Conveniently, there's parking available since the bakery is inside Hmart.

Chocolate croissant, $3.99 - 4.5 Stars (guilty pleasure)

Similar to several of the area's Tous Les Jours bakeries, the Redmond location shares a building with H Mart, which is great and too easy/tempting to reach. LOL. There is a separate outside entrance, as well as an entrance via the H Mart side (after entering, cross over the cashiers as though you have finished shopping and look to the far side of the building). Parking is plentiful. This location is much roomier than the Bellevue location and has small 2-person tables with pretty velvety chairs to enjoy their drinks and treats. Two ladies worked the front during my visit. Both were amiable and chatted pleasantly. As for their pastries, they have all their usual offerings, plus savory croquettes in its own warming oven (totally caught my attention), attractive cakes at the front case, and basic sandwiches (such as tuna) in the refrigerator case. For this visit, I bought a kimchee croquette (greasy but yum!), a curry croquette (vegetarian filling), and a chocolate croissant, which is my guilty pleasure with half of the croissant covered with a luscious dark chocolate (see photo). Their prices are reasonable for this area, compares well with both Asian and American bakeries. All three pieces I chose were $3.99 each. This location will be too tempting, every time I get groceries at H Mart... (So long Bellevue Tous Les Jours and H Mart, you are way too claustrophobic.)

The place was very clean the smell as you walk it was delightful. There was many options available it was hard to choose just one. I decided to get the strawberry tiramisu! It was 10/10 moist with the right amount of sweet. My vanilla latte was another 10/10. I will be returning very soon to try other items.

    Coffee & Egg Tart

I do like this Tous Les Jours better than the Bellevue location. I had no idea the new H-Mart and Tous Les Jours opened until my friend suggested we go here for coffee. Now that I know, you can guarantee I'll be visiting more often. This new Tous Les Jours inside H-Mart is located near Redmond Town Center, with plenty of parking available. The space is new, so it was very bright, clean and modern, with chairs and tables for dining in, which was nice. Unlike the cramped Bellevue location that's take-out only, this bakery and cafe is inviting. We visited on a Monday morning and they didn't have some of the pastries available yet, or even the new drinks that are listed on the menu. I ordered a large drip coffee with a Portuguese egg tart, which were both solid. It was quiet when we visited as my friend and I were the only ones dining in. The food items you select from are a good variety, so I'd like to come back when they have all of their pastries available since I came soon after it opened. They also have cakes in the display case and a large coffee and tea menu that looked intriguing. Because it's new, give it some time for the menu to expand and for all items to be available. I'm glad I learned about this new location as it'll be a good option for coffee and treats for meeting with friends in an area I frequent.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem, new bakery called Tous Les Jours next to Hmart in Redmond, and wow, was I blown away! The place has a nice little Parisian café vibe going on. But more importantly, the pastries here are just unreal. The garlic cream cheese bread - so flaky on the outside and soft and garlicky on the inside. Every bite is like a mini explosion of flavor. Don't even get me started on the spinach feta Danish. It's got the perfect balance of crisp, flaky pastry and creamy spinach and feta filling. I could easily devour three of those in one sitting! Now the egg salad sandwich, that was a pleasant surprise. Super fresh egg salad with the perfect amount of mayo and mustard. Makes for a really tasty lunch option. But the absolute star of the show was the croque monsieur. The crispy toasted bread and molten ham and cheese inside is just a match made in heaven. I'm still dreaming about that sandwich. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you have even the slightest sweet tooth or just appreciate really good bakery items, you need to check this place out. Everything I tried was just so well-made. It's definitely going to be my new go-to bakery in the neighborhood. Give it a shot, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Chocolate cake with strawberry bits! (I forget the exact name) a delicate dessert!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #80…read more After a poor boba experience at the Capitol Hill location, I wasn't expecting much out of Meetea Cafe in Redmond. Still, since this is the only non-chain boba shop in Redmond, and I was in the area for an event, I decided to give it a chance. The menu at this location is a bit different, since it doesn't allow tea selection for the milk tea at the kiosk. There are two kiosks even though I doubt this place gets too busy, given that it was just after lunch at 1PM on a Sunday, and there was only one other party inside. Boba Milk Tea, 30% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea is a very pleasing almost orangish color that's actually quite a fragrant, tasting more similar to a Ceylon than an Assam that most other boba shops use. There's a caramelized milky sweetness to the drink, like they use pure condensed milk as a sweetener. It all combines together to give vaguely Hong Kong-style milk tea notes. At 30% sweet, it's pleasingly only slightly sweet, much better than the harsh sweetness at 50% from the other location. Note this drink comes with boba by default, but I wasn't paying attention and ended up adding additional boba (adds 75 cents). At least, I think there was an additional order in the cup, given that it seemed to be a larger amount of boba than is usual. The boba is surprisingly pretty good. While the pearls are smooth, not that sweet, and are a bit inconsistent in size, they have a surprisingly good bounce and the chew is quite good, albeit a tiny bit on the firm side. Overall much better than what I received on Capitol Hill. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 I was really surprised at the quality of the drink I received at this Meetea location. I've seen this place all over social media, and as a big coconut fan, I knew I had to give it a try. We ended up ordering the Red Bean Coconut Dessert and the Plain Coconut Dessert. Our total came out to around $20. The plain coconut dessert was about $8, while the desserts with additional toppings were around $12. They even added fresh mango on top, which was a delicious touch. The coconut pudding texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, making it a really refreshing dessert. Another nice bonus is that you get to keep the glass jars they serve the desserts in. I also noticed they have a selection of bottled drinks available to take home as well. Overall, I had a great experience at this location and would highly recommend stopping by.
