I do always enjoy Salt & Straw. All their unique flavors, and then they have their rotating flavors as well. I love being able to sample everything. The staff is friendly amd knowledgeable. My favorite is still the Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Unique flavors and was especially interested in the new May tea seasonal flavors. I liked the saffron honey the best. It had a subtle saffron taste with a nice honey sweetness. It was very rich and creamy, a small scoop goes a long way. Some of the seasonal flavors are a hit or miss. I didn't like the cereal series as much. Overall, good quality ice cream. There is usually a longer line out the door but it doesn't take too long to get through it. The servers are friendly and helpful. They let you try as many flavors as you like and offer informative descriptions of each flavor. There is not much room inside just a little bench for sitting. Most people take the ice cream to go or eat outside in the shared courtyard.
I love salt and straw!! Their unique seasonal flavors always pull me in. This time I had the Raspberry Princess Cake flavor and it was so good. If you like pistachios and raspberry, I highly recommend it. I couldn't even take a photo without a bite missing from my scoop as I had to enjoy it right away. There is no seating or anything inside, but there are some benches right outside that you can use. Seating is limited though so this location is best if you want to walk around while enjoying your ice cream.
I stopped by Salt & Straw recently and it did not disappoint! The service was super fast, and the staff kept the line moving while still being friendly and helpful. The raspberry white chocolate cheesecake flavor was amazing. It had actual cheesecake chunks mixed in, which gave it this soft, chewy texture that made every bite interesting. The sourness of the raspberry was perfectly refreshing and balanced out the sweetness of the white chocolate so well. The coffee ice cream was incredibly creamy and smooth with a rich, bold flavor -- not too sweet, just the right amount of coffee kick. It tasted like a really good latte turned into dessert.
Salt & Straw has opened up right across from the light rail station in Redmond, and offers an array of delightful flavors for your next ice cream stop. The shop is pretty small, just enough room for a small line and a small bench to one side. There are some benches and seating outside on the adjoining plaza, where you can enjoy ice cream on a nice day. If you don't know what flavor to get, the staff have great recommendations and know all about each flavor; they have a detailed description of each flavor and how it is created which they can recite on demand. My favorite is the strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper! I was a bit skeptical of the inclusion of black pepper, but was surprised that it wasn't too overpowering, instead, the strawberry flavor is very prominent and the ice cream is rich and creamy.
Finally it's in Redmond. Line wasn't long and the staff is supper friendly and knowledgeable with all the flavors and we tried so many flavors before making our decision. Clean and nice interior .
After enjoying a lovely lunch at Mendocino Farms, we headed across the street to Salt & Straw for a scoop of ice cream. Even though I had just been to this lovely place there the week before with my family, I love it so much that I was excited to go back with a friend. I ordered my usual--the vegan hazelnut cookies and cream. The portion was just right and absolutely hit the spot. I also admired how slowly my friend savored her scoop, enjoying every spoonful. The location couldn't be better: it's right across from Redmond Town Center and the light rail, with easy parking and a brand-new, premium feel. I'm thrilled to see this area expanding and becoming more walkable. We were greeted by two friendly staff members who offered us samples of different flavors. My friend tried one of the more unique seasonal options. One thing that caught my eye was a bottle that looked like perfume, which turned out to be a flavor spray meant to be misted onto the ice cream. I was intrigued but didn't try it this time--maybe I'll be brave enough on my next visit!
New shop opened in Redmond in a very convenient location near the new train station! I dropped by after lunch for some dessert and was greeted with very friendly and helpful staff. I was able to try all the monthly flavors and our server was very outgoing and helpful. As usual, the shop is very well maintain and has the same vibes as your typical Salt and Straw. Very clean and organized with places for you to stand and eat your ice cream!
I tried the Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream. It's rich, creamy, and definitely unique. Staff are friendly and the ambiance is warm and inviting.
Excellent location in downtown Redmond. Convenient parking lot in the adjacent building. But also a very short walk from the big Redmond parking garage. The staff is amazing & very friendly. They didn't rush us & allowed us to sample anything we wanted to try. What I thought was a nice touch to their etiquette was how they handed us our sample spoons. End of the spoon facing us. Just something I noticed and was a great way to pass to us. Our ice cream was super delicious. I went with a seasonal strawberry flavor which had a cheesecake base. It was creamy and flavorful and the perfect combo in the strawberry waffle cone. My husband got the vegan peanut butter ice cream and i almost loved his more than mine. The peanut butter was very flavorful and his cream just as creamy for being vegan. Definitely recommend and cannot wait to to come back.
Oregon brand in Redmond! Cute store is clean and friendly. The flavors are all very unique but on the sweet side for me. The scoops were smaller than I remember them but could have just been the server this time. Lots of cute merch to purchase! What a great location near the light rail station! Good outdoor seating area!
Now you can get Salt & Straw in Redmond! Salt & Straw is solid ice cream with inventive flavors and monthly specials that has a following, including The Rock! It's always a tasty experience when I've visited a Salt & Straw. The Salt & Straw in Redmond is conveniently located right by the Downtown Redmond station, which makes it easy to get to on the 2 Line. Located in a new apartment building, surrounded by other new eateries and businesses, it's a win for the area. I visited during the weekday during my lunch break, and it wasn't too crowded with patrons. The line moved quickly, and I was able to taste some samples before choosing the birthday cake berry flavor, which is just here for July. The store is small, yet clean, organized and there's seating outside the shop. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, especially if you've never had Salt & Straw before.
Service is top notch, and I got a scoop of my favorite limited edition flavor. I'm actually impressed this time: cone is crispy and they have it in strawberry flavor! This is more spacious than the one in Ballard, I love this new build (tall ceilings, merch wall and a dedicated fridge for ice cream/pup cups to go) - makes it easy to manage long lines. No lines when I went though, so was a quick in/out for me.

I love Salt & Straw and was at the Redmond location for my ice cream fix. I tried their seasonal flavors and got Salted Caramel Apple pie. Love the new location in Redmond, don't have to go anywhere else when I want ice cream. read more
Literally my fav ice cream place ever. You'll see a more detailed review that I put up on their Kirkland location. Glad they opened a location that is closer! It's located in a good spot, right in the heart of Redmond downtown. Parking isn't bad, customers can park in the Eastline Grand garage and have their license plate validated in store, make sure to not forget this step or you can get ticketed. This shop is never too busy inside unless you make a visit in the evening, then there might be a small line, but the line moves pretty quick. The staff are super patient, and will let you sample multiple flavors before making a choice. Really glad to have a location closer to home so that I don't have to keep making the trip to Kirkland anymore (though the Totem Lake location is pretty nice too). read more
yay! a closer one to home! been a fan of Salt and Straw since their days in Portland and a closer one to home makes it a sweet deal. parking is a biggest nightmare in this area and the one way roads makes it difficult if you want to circle around to find a spot.. friendly staff, delicious ice cream as always. love that they change their flavors often, it makes the experience even better! read more

I have never been to this location before and I was super excited to get some delicious ice cream with my family. When the four of us walked in together at 9pm the store was fairly clean and empty. The two stars are for the ice cream because it's amazing. I ordered my go-to which is the salted caramel, and my sister ordered the banana bread with strawberry jam. Both of us loved how creamy and flavourful our ice cream was. The way we were treated, is the reason this is a negative review. When we first entered the store, the scooper (a shorter woman 5'3-ish wearing a blue hat with brown hair working at 9pm on 7/18) waved us over. After confirming with the couple in front of us that they were still deciding, the four of us approached the scooper. My sister and I knew what we wanted so we both requested our samples and our scoops. When my mom politely asked for a sample for her and my dad, the scooper despite making direct eye contact with my mom, ignored her and began pretending to be busy before trying to call up the next group. At that point my mom advocated for herself and explained that we were together as a group but the scooper didn't once apologise for blatantly ignoring my mom. This behaviour was just rude and disrespectful and does not align with customer service values. If she thought my mom was cutting the line, she should have explained that to her instead of just ignoring her. I was so appalled to witness my mom being treated this way, especially since we literally walked by our go-to Molly Moon's to come here (I guess that's why they had a line out the door and this place didn't.). We were so excited about our ice cream and this ruined our experience. The worst part is, the scooper didn't apologise or even seem remorseful about how she had treated my mom. We definitely will not be returning. read more

Went here this past weekend and it was a perfect hot day to get some ice cream. I've always been a fan of this place especially when they do their cereal series inspired ice cream flavors. This time around, I got the huckleberry cornbread pudding split scoop with the other split scoop being the sea salt caramel ribbon flavor in a waffle cone in cup. I found that the sea salt caramel was too salty and indulgently sweet. Probably due to the salt intensifying the sweetness. Luckily I had the huckleberry flavor to help round it out or offset the other flavor. I think it would've enjoyed it more if I got a single scoop of the hbcp flavor. Even though I enjoyed the hbcp, I eventually got tired of it and was consuming just to finish vs consuming to enjoy it all throughout. One interesting thing I found out about this encounter is their aromatics that you can spray over the top to infuse a scent to your ice cream. I thought it was cool but you have to be cognizant of what scents would go well with which flavors or else it could be weird The reason I rated my review higher was mainly for the service. The individual that was helping me was accommodating and let us sample a good amount of different flavors. They kept a cheerful mood and was actually suggesting that we sample a few other things. Definitely didn't feel like I was being too troublesome as a customer. read more
We love a new salt and straw location. I came to their soft opening which was pretty crowded, as expected. There's a convenient parking garage connected to the building which is a plus. The workers were all super friendly. Even though there was such a long line, we didn't feel rushed trying to figure out what flavor to get. I was honestly surprised with how smooth their whole operation was, given this was all their first day. The place itself is pretty small, nowhere to sit inside. but there's a shared outdoor area where you can enjoy your sweet treat. Flavors are always bomb. I got a flight with the chocolate chili crisp, huckleberry corn bread, wild berry slab pie, and the strawberry pretzel salad. All the flavors I got were so yummy. 10/10 a welcomed new addition to the Seattle area salt and straw locations!! read more
If you are going to accurately rate an ice cream shop you need to bring along a seasoned expert. There's no way that I would have the patience to painstakingly work my way through sample after sample, analyzing the subtle hints of flavor, as if I were sampling a vertical of fine Bordeaux's. I just want to order, and get down to business. I can very easily guess how the expert is reacting to the ice cream based on her face, not the expressions, the coverage. Salt and Straw is a 5. Great location, friendly helpful servers, and Magnolia blooms to enjoy afterwards. read more
At the soft opening of the store in Redmond, I got to meet the owner. He walked me through the origins of some of the more creative flavors like chili crisp peanut butter cups, and oishii strawberry pretzel salad. Clearly there's passion and creativity in their flavors. The ice cream was as delicious as you imagine, complimented by the light and crispy cone. read more
Grateful to be invited to Salt & Straw's soft opening with Yelp. The staff were new but seemed very knowledgeable and passionate about the ice cream flavors. I appreciated their recommendations. The quality of the ice cream was excellent just like their other locations. The space is inviting and has ample seating inside and right outside the store. The only issue we faced was with parking. The staff was unsure whether they will validate parking in its building garage and the parking rates without validation are ridiculously high ($8 for the first hour)! Overall, a fun Yelp event and we had a delicious time! read more
Brand new Salt & Straw in Redmond. Located in ground retail floor of Eastline Apartment bldg. Today is their Soft Grand Opening. I got invited by Yelp Elite to this event. So grateful. I brought my plus one with me today since she loves Salt & Straw too. When we got there, we were greeted by Molly, she's the marketing person for the event, she's only there for the Grand opening. The actual opening will be on July 5th. The people that serve the guests were so happy anf cheery. I love their enthusiasm. So yes, sorry to people behind us, we took a bit longer since we really want to try their special limited edition and last chances scoop which means they will be gone soon. See my photo for the menu as is today July 3, 2025. They also have 3 vegan option. Btw I got the tasting flight since I cant decide, they taste all so good. I got: oiishi strawberry pretzel salad Coffee & love nuts Strawberry and coconut water sherbet Wild forage berry side pie The place is so clean and inviting. There's a Lil space you can sit on the red bench or you can also enjoy the yummy ice cream outside. They also have some merchandise if you like: candles, ice cream scooper, cooler bag, toppings, hat. Thank you so much for the experience. Don't forget to give them some love with tips. They will surely appreciate it. read more
This was phenomenal! I would do this again. The pineapple upside down cake flavor mixed with the vanilla apple custard tart flavor for a milkshake. That was impressive. It was a nice contrast between creamy custard and tropical pineapple. Service is nice and direct. Not so busy when I was there. That was great. read more
Delicious and interesting ice cream flavors with knowledgeable and friendly staff, so very similar to my experience visiting the Pike Place location (https://yelp.to/ZUsTVVa7oJ). The location of their stores are also strategically placed in convenient locations. This location is literally right across the street from the light rail. I look forward to coming back. read more

How to survive a 90 degree summer day? Ice cream is the answer! My boy and I came to Salt and straw this afternoon after his summer camp. We were surprised no other customers were in the store and so we got service right away. We tried a couple flavors and I picked the pear and blue cheese. It was a strong flavor ice cream with real pear chunks. While the flavor was great, it wasn't as creamy as others we have tried. read more

Salt & Straw is always delicious and now their Redmond store is open. Technically, there is Salt & Straw in Microsoft Redmond campus, but they have limited offerings. This new store is even closer to my home so I am super happy. It's less than 1 minutes walk from Redmond Town Center light rail station. Two thumbs up! read more

Wow, what a place! I got to come here for a Yelp event and I'd definitely come back here again. They have such unique flavors and the staff there is so amazing with being able to tell you exactly what goes into them. My personal favorite was one of their last chance flavors of chocolate and chili crisp. The person helping us, Colby, was so knowledgeable and kind - truly loved this place so much and definitely would make this a stop on every trip to Seattle I have after this. read more
Salt & Straw is officially opening in Redmond this Saturday, July 5th! If you've never tried their ice cream, prepare to have your taste buds blown away. Think bold, creamy, unexpected flavors that actually work and friendly staff who actually know their stuff! Here's a scoop-by-scoop of what I tried: Goat Cheese Marionberry Habanero - Bright, fresh, and that habanero kick is no joke! Banana Bread with Strawberry Jam - Like a warm hug in frozen form. Chocolate Gooey Brownie - A rich, classic indulgence. Honey Lavender - So delicate and delicious, with just the right hint of floral. Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper - A tangy twist that keeps you coming back for another bite. Arbequina Olive Oil - Oprah's fave for a reason! Earthy and smooth, with that nostalgic wooden-spoon vibe. Pear & Blue Cheese - Shockingly yum. Fresh pear vibes with a tangy finish. Strawberry Pretzel Salad - Sweet, salty, and just plain addictive. Strawberry & Coconut Water Sherbet - Light, refreshing, and perfect for summer. Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge - Peanut butter lovers, this is your dream. Chocolate Chili Crisp Peanut Butter Cups - A limited time "last chance" scoop and the one I couldn't resist! Rich chocolate meets spicy-sweet peanut butter = perfection. And don't skip the merch section -- from books and hats to waffle cone-scented candles, it's a whole experience. Trust me, your ice cream game will never be the same read more
