    (Smoothies)Mango Pomelo Sago

Food: Ive always ordered at this location and they always make my boba perfect. This was the first time I went in in person. Boba was good! Very refreshing. Service: to order it is self service. There is a touch screen pad where you can order your boba or snacks. If you are an introvert this is a dream! Lol the only time the workers talk to you is when they call out your number. Which I don't mind at all. Ambiance: the place is cute! Enough seating for maybe 10 people at most inside. They were playing cute music. I liked it! I will always recommend yi fang locations. The boba is really good not too sweet!

A small fruit tea (boba) drink shop across from the Redmond Trader Joe's. Too the family here to get a treat. The drinks are consistently done well and a good value. There's lots of opportunity to customize drinks. We got the egg pancake too. It was ok too.

I discovered my new favorite treat here: EGG PANCAKE WITH CUSTARD! I also enjoyed my nondairy milk tea with pudding, too. But I can't believe I've been missing those little treats all my life. Lovely griddled flavor, not too sweet and a mix of textures with the smooth custard inside. I'm craving these again today!

I had yet to visit this Eastside location of the Taiwanese fruit tea and bubble tea franchise. Orders are placed on a kiosk by the front counter. The printed menus pasted on the side walls were outdated. ----- Mango Pomelo Sago: classic mango smoothie made with fresh mango, mango jam, coconut, and topped with grapefruit pulp and chewy sago ($6.80). A refreshing summer drink that is rich in mango. I found 30% sugar was adequate enough for the sweetness level. Extra toppings could not be added, but inside had plenty of fruit pulp and sago. ----- The business was short on staff with only two employees working through the long list of orders. It took a long 45 minutes for our order to be fulfilled on a late Friday afternoon. Inside had a few bar counter and table seating.

YiFang serves a variety of Taiwanese teas and snacks. My favorites are the Mango Pomelo Sago and Super Trio Milk Tea. There are milk replacement options and many topping additions and customizations available. Service is quite impersonal- ordering is done by tablet and there is little acknowledgement of the customer besides calling the order number. They will usually prop open the front door on nice days, but when it's not, there isn't much ventilation causing steam (presumably due to tea brewing) to build up in the air and is very visible on the windows. I've found this location runs out of ingredients quite a bit, so your drink of choice might not always be guaranteed.

Fruit teas are so good here! I also love the addition of lychee gel in the teas I ordered. I feel bad for the single person who was working, there was a lot of people and a lot of orders with a lot of pick ups. I hope they add more staff member soon.

Mango pomelo sago and mango fruit tea with cheese milk foam

We were thirsty and wanted something to drink. This was on the way home so we decided to check it out. We got the mango pomelo sago and the mango fruit tea with cheese foam. Both drinks were pretty good, a little pricy in my opinion, but you do get a larger cup. I like the mango fruit tea as it has a lot of fruit in them. For some reason it wasn't as refreshing and i was still thirsty. They do have a few things that i was confused about: first, the cheese foam wasn't in a sippy cup, so i guess you're suppose to swirl it? Another thing was that the mango pomelo sago had mango chunks in them that was too big to fit through the straw so i had to open the cup up to eat them... OVerall, if i'm in the area, i would get drinks but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

    Pineapple Green Tea + boba

As an avid bubble tea fan, I was excited to hear that YiFang found a home on the Eastside. YiFang is known for their use of fresh fruit and natural ingredients, with one example being their "golden jam" crafted from overripe pineapples. That's exactly what I was here for....the Pineapple Green Tea! Right after entering, we placed our order on the self-service kiosk at the front. With only one kiosk operating at the time, I could easily see this hold up the line during peak times. In the time it took me to scroll through the menu and input customizations, an employee could probably process two orders. Our teas were ready within a few minutes and I received a text to pick them up from the front counter. Considering how the store operates, there is minimal interaction between the staff and customers, which left us feeling barely acknowledged. A simple greeting when we walked in would have at least made a difference. Also, when we asked one employee a question, we received a very curt response. Maybe they were having an off day, but we didn't feel very welcomed. I ordered their recommended Pineapple Green Tea with pearls ($4.75 + $0.50), 30% sugar and light ice. The ice and sweetness levels were executed well, but the flavor was not what I expected from a supposedly homemade pineapple jam. It didn't have a juicy ripe pineapple taste and actually seemed diluted. My tea was just sweet, with a subtle fruit flavor. My friend had the Black Tea Latte with pearls and 30% sweetness. The drink contained real milk instead of a powdered base which was nice, but she said it was on the weak side as well. Additionally, our pearls were quite soft and didn't have that chewy bite that we long for. I arrived with such high hopes, but my visit left me feeling a little low. I would return in the future to give it another chance and hopefully an additional star.

The best location I really enjoyed this spot. Nice staff. Clean. Great experience. Would like to come back and try other flavors though- I tried something new, and didn't care for it/couldn't finish it. I should have stuck to flavors I enjoy. Never the less, give them a try :) kind of tucked away in Redmond neighborhood.

養樂多鳳梨 Yakult with Pineapple Green Tea

My favorite drink is the Mango Pomelo Sago! It reminds me of the Hong Kong style dessert that I eat during the summer, but in smoothie form. Evidently, YiFang offers unique drink combinations and flavors. The Yakult with Pineapple Green Tea tastes exactly like how it sounds, but I appreciated the nostalgia and incorporation of yakult in the drink. The YiFang Fruit Tea was refreshing and attractive with the sliced fruit. I'm interested in trying more drinks on the menu, but I have to admit that the drinks are $5-$7 depending on the drink and toppings. They're pricey and the locations in the Pacific Northwest are far for me, especially this Redmond location. During this COVID-19 pandemic, indoor seating is closed, so I recommend online ordering for pick-up. This location still takes order via the OrderToGo platform. Visit the YiFang Pacific Northwest website for the link.

Curious why the Mixed Berry Smoothie used to not have caffeine and now it does. Is there any way to order it without tea like a regular smoothie? The Mango Sago and Mango Pomelo Sago Smoothies don't have caffeine in them which is confusing.

They don't have seats tables to linger. Considering how expensive Kirkland is, it is perfectly understandable. In the past, I was visually lured by their IG friendly drinks such as the strawberry matcha latte. I hated it. They serve it in a non-shakable cup, and it is impossible to properly stir the thick strawberry jam into the beverage. On this cold February day with no lines, I spent the time to ask questions, and we landed on the Bobaejicha, which is roasted green tea hojicha milk tea. For the hard care tea drinkers, hojicha is often a fav. They did right by the hojicha with the smoky tea, soothed with milk, and a touch of sweetness at 25%. It tasted good at 0% also, but I had her add the sugar after a few sips, so I can try both variants. I realized I prefer a 0% by the second half of the cup. Their house made brown sugar syrup adds a caramel taste when mixed with the smoky hojicha. Both variants are good. It was a fun chat to figure out my drink away from photo influences.

I got it less sweet because the strawberry already makes it pretty sweet. It was about $8 which is sadly the standard for matcha these days. Next time I'll have to try their pink boba
