Had a really good experience here. My wife and I stopped in to grab lunch on a Tuesday early afternoon. Food was very good, service OK, and prices were OK. I got the Carnitas Bowl and my wife got the Chicken Bowl. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. They had to go into the back to get more brown rice, but that didn't delay things too much. The jalapenos were very hot (I like that!) and everything else was good as well. The staff making the dishes didn't seem particularly inspired, but they were pleasant enough! We were able to find a clean table, and the dining area had ample seating. The garbage cans were pretty full after the lunch rush, but otherwise the dinng area was fine. Around 12:30 PM on 4/16/26, I went to Qdoba Mexican Eats on 72nd and Pacific to order a cheese crusted quesadilla, and this was honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any Qdoba. I've eaten at Qdoba countless times and have never had this issue. When I ordered, the employee at the front (who I've seen working this same shift multiple times before) asked if I wanted meat. I said no, and instead of asking what toppings I wanted, she immediately put only cheese in the tortilla and threw it on the grill without giving me a chance to customize it. Right after, the customer behind me ordered a chicken quesadilla and she rushed his the same way. He had to stop her and ask if he could add toppings, and she told him no that only protein could go in it. There was clear confusion between the employees at that point. The male employee working next to her seemed visibly frustrated, but it was unclear if that frustration was directed at her or at us as customers. Meanwhile, I was left standing off to the side while the other customer was helped ahead of me. After waiting, I had to ask the other employee to tell her that I wanted toppings in my quesadilla. By the time she came back to me, my quesadilla had already been made with just cheese. She rolled her eyes and again asked if I wanted protein. I explained that I'm vegetarian and wanted things like beans and rice inside instead. She told me that wasn't allowed. I calmly explained that I've done this at multiple other Qdoba locations without any issue, including nearby ones, but both employees continued to argue with me and insist it couldn't be done. I was told it wouldn't cook evenly and that they couldn't risk customers complaining about cold food, which honestly makes no sense. It literally does not make sense that a quesadilla...a food that is supposed to have fillings inside can only have cheese or protein, but not other toppings. Every other location I've been to manages to do this just fine. I then asked if I could just get a regular quesadilla instead, but the same issue continued. I was repeatedly asked about adding protein even after clearly stating multiple times that I'm vegetarian. I was also told I could get toppings on the side, which defeats the entire purpose..no one orders a quesadilla to build it themselves afterward with cold ingredients. The entire interaction went back and forth for about 10 minutes in front of other customers. Both employees were dismissive, rude, and visibly rolling their eyes, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. I ended up feeling overwhelmed and embarrassed, and I left without food. I actually spent the rest of my lunch break crying in my car because of how frustrating and upsetting the interaction was. No one should leave a restaurant feeling like that over something as simple as ordering food. I've seen these same two employees working this shift multiple times, which makes this even more disappointing. I also have an employee that goes to this Qdoba all the time and gets dirty looks by these same employees. I've always liked Qdoba more than Chipotle Mexican Grill, but after this experience, I'm starting to understand why so many people choose Chipotle instead. If this is how customers are going to be treated, I'll probably start going there too. read more

Let me start by saying that staff here are plain rude. This was my first and last time dining here. I didn't even begin my order yet, and the guy behind the counter talked rudely, and I asked him one question (my first time here) about their meat, and he says can't you read. Anything I said, he rolled his eyes, even asking what to put in my bowl, and I wondered which is hotter salsa and the response was "just choose one." Their food wasn't as good as chipotle. I was really moved to write this review as soon as possible once I exited the restaurant. Why? Because I had so many mixed emotions about my visit. Admittedly, I have not been to Qdoba for a while. I remember flavorful additions to my burritos or nachos or bowls and a pretty darn positive experience. That was not the case yesterday. I guess I don't remember their chips being in a massive bin underneath the cash register that the cashier simply scoops out and into your plate. Cold, lifeless chips. For some reason I don't remember that at all. Got everything to my table and in the short time it took to go from cash register to table my bowl of nacho dipping combination was cold. I mean not chilly cold but at least room temperature. Cold cheese and vegetables etc. with my cold lifeless chips weren't anything to write home about. Now, I do remember their staff being a little less zombie - like. There was a gal that greeted me that was first in the station with proteins who was animated, for sure. But the next two folks were literally just clocked in. I just remember a more welcoming warm environment. I'm not too old that my memory is that bad! I understand this is fast food and I understand that sometimes that can be a grind for the folks who are employed there. I suppose I would suggest to the franchise ownership to configure something that injects life into the employees. It's been a while since I've been there, as I admitted, and I'm afraid it'll be a while before I return. I even had all the best intentions and updated my app plus found that I had 4200 points. I figured, that's got to count for something right? Nope. I checked the app thoroughly and there is no explanation as to what a customer earns based on point value. I don't often visit Qdoba and because of this I am not completely familiar with the menu or the options, so I always feel super-rushed when being "helped". I don't mean to slow things down, but I don't enjoy the feeling of being stupid when I don't know what kinds of rice they have in order to tell them what I want, or what kinds of beans I want - again because I don' know the options available. Let alone be able to tell them what other options I would like when I can't even identify what some of the possibilities are. Labels on the containers of items showing toward the customer would be helpful for this. Today I thought I would be safe and order one of the pre-determined fajita bowls which listed out all the items in it - but went through the same ordeal of an impatient lead person although no one was in line behind me. There was no way that dude was going to list out the types of rice for me when he asked me which I wanted. So pointing had to do. And it turned out there were a million choices to make even with the pre-determined menu item. The whole experience really wasn't pleasant for a lunch that cost a bit over $18 (the bowl, queso & chips, and a drink). The food was fine albeit a bit pricey - but I was just disappointed overall with the experience. Kind of sucked for me - probably okay for someone who knows the menu well and can fire off what they want right away when being "served." read more

The answer to only one of these questions is yes... try to guess which one... 1. Qdoba makes a large burrito. 2. Qdoba makes a better burrito than Chipotle. 3. Qdoba makes the second best burrito in Omaha. To give you a hint, I left here feeling very full but not very satisfied. Even though they offer lots of ingredients that sound good in theory (and start with at least a 16" tortilla) the flavor was blah. Guacamole tasted too much like lime, and chips were a little too salty for my liking. Back to my standard (see question #2). I must admit I have been hesitant to try eating at Qdoba after a food poisoning incident at Chipotle. Just the fact they are so similar I think really freaked me out. Well the time came when we were walking around, hungry, and waiting on the bus. I had gone to two other places that same day and left without food due to reasons. They weren't super busy and it was after 8pm at night. That made me nervous that their food wouldn't be fresh. I told the nice lady and gentleman at the counter I had never been there before. I asked if I could try some stuff before I decided. They were MORE than kind in letting me try, and my husband too. Their chicken tastes pretty good, it was fresh and moist. The peppers could have been cooked more to my taste but most people like them crunchy. The queso cheese is probably my favorite, however the queso diablo is nasty (even though my husband says it's awesome). You'll quickly notice almost all their toppings and selections are exactly like Chipotle. They have a mild tomato salsa, corn salsa, and several thin salsas varying in heat. None of them seemed really hot and the hottest one is made with tomataillos I believe and I greatly disliked the flavor. I settled with a burrito bowl, white rice, pinto beans, chicken, mild salsa, queso, sour cream, cheese, peppers, and somehow forgot the lettuce. We also got some chips with queso on the side. It was pretty good although a tad salty. To be honest, the food is just "okay". There is no resounding quality that I would scream YES come back for more. It's probably a semi-healthier fast food, and if you look at the ingredients on their website it can be a tad bit scary. I've returned once since then but only got chips and queso. Which I much rather enjoy than the burritos themselves, even if the chicken is yummy. Value wise, if you're used to chipotle prices and quantity you might be surprised, Qdoba is more expensive, (they also raised their prices almost 2 dollars this week but I'm not 100% sure on what everything cost previously), and you get about half as much food from my experience. The queso and chips is $4.36 after taxes and is enough for 1 hungry person or 2 to share. They also gave us more chips when we ran out and still had dip. Very kind. My only complaint is the dip is 700 calories with 44g fat, but then again it IS cheese. The one resounding quality I WILL give them is I have yet to meet a rude person here. Everyone seems genuinely kind and doesn't have the typical "I hate my life" mentality about them you tend to see in the food service. They also gave us 2 free drinks when they learned it was my first time there. Also, if you plan to eat here a lot sign up for their Qdoba card. It's basically buy 10 entrees get 1 free but it works on a point system. Unfortunately chips and salsa don't count. When you register your card you get a free chips and salsa added and I was told they don't expire but the card will become inactive after a "long" time but she was unsure how long that was. The downside is they are unable to look-up the card so if you're like me you'll want to use the key chain card or download the app for it. You can also claim a reward receipt to add later but you have to tell them ahead of time. So in summary, if you're looking for a quick meal at a decent price this is your place. Don't expect a super fancy decor (although I think it's nice). Try the chips, very limey and good. Don't expect gourmet food, think college grub, and sign up for free food. read more

I went for 2 days in a row. and I really got a raw deal, on BOTH days. They have 2 dense girls working the counter with a new hire whose IQ and motor skills are questionable. This was my first visit to Qdoba. I have some good and some bad things, so I decided to try it for myself. I was pleasantly surprised. This location was clean, well lit, and had lots of open space. I tried the Tortilla Soup and it was delicious! The soup comes in a crispy tortilla bowl like the kind you usually get with a taco salad. To the soup base, you can add your choice of rice, beans, cheese, and veggies. It was much more filling than I expected. I left so full, I felt I would pop. Qdoba in Omaha? What a mediocre treat. We went here for a group lunch one afternoon. The place was packed to the teeth. Luckily we didn't que for long and started to order our food. I'm glad to see that the menu has not changed in three years. Well done Qdoba. The folks working there were friendly and built my burrito quickly. However, they were really hard to hear. If you've never heard of Qdoba, you've probably never heard of this thing called HDTV either or just aren't a fan of Mexican-style food. For those of you who have heard of Qdoba, you know they make gigantic burritos that make you feel like you just got impregnated with a food baby. Instead of dissecting the quality of my visit, I'm going to help you choose between Qdoba and their national rival Chipotle. The great debate for burrito lovers is whether Qdoba or Chipotle make the better burrito. For me, while I think Chipotle makes a slightly better burrito, I give Qdoba an edge for total restaurant experience. Normally when I order a burrito or burrito bowl from either of the two fast causal restaurants, it's always the chicken fajita variety. I prefer the taste of fresh peppers and onions to that of black or pinto beans. Along with the fajitas, the seasoned chicken and rice are pretty standard between the two companies. Where Chipotle gets the edge is in the salsas. All four of the Chipotle salsas, (Mild, Medium, Hot, and Corn Salsa) in addition to the guacamole, taste a little bit fresher than similar options at Qdoba. That being said, Qdoba is still a viable option for burrito lovers. Where Qdoba stands apart from Chipotle is in the variety of Mexican-style food options and total restaurant experience. Both restaurants offer hard and soft-shell tacos in addition to burritos. But unlike Chipotle, Qdoba offers its customers the option to put a 3-Cheese Queso, Ancho Chili BBQ, or Ranchera on your burrito. They also offer an extra hot salsa that isn't available at Chipotle. Additionally, Qdoba offers entrées not available at Chipotle. Qdoba has a good chicken or steak quesadilla loaded in cheese, meat, and tomatoes with a side of guacamole and sour cream. Usually when I go to Qdoba I get this even though I know my arteries hate me from all the cheese they pour on it. Qdoba also has pretty good tortilla soup (after dinner breath mint required) not found at Chipotle and a taco salad that can come in a hard shell instead of Chipotle's paper bowl. Qdoba also has the edge on Chipotle in terms of total restaurant experience. While I dig the upbeat music pumping in most Chipotles, I often feel like I'm sitting on an uncomfortable chairs in the middle of modernly decorated tin can. That's why I usually take Chipotle to-go. I prefer eating in Qdoba to that of Chipotle not because their décor and seating is much better, but because they almost always have a TV that I can watch to drown out the work gossip from all the young professionals that frequent fast casual restaurants during the lunch hour. Finally, Qdoba gets the nod over Chipotle in the rewards department. With the Qdoba card, you get points for each entrée and after ten entrées you get one for free. I think you also get a free burrito on your birthday. And if you buy enough burritos at a certain location over the course of the year, you can earn more free burritos. Chipotle has no such rewards program. Whether I pick Chipotle for the burrito, or Qdoba for the additional food offerings and experience, I feel I never can go wrong. read more

I questioned the total, but was assured it was correct. When we received our ticket I showed her she was missing three things. She replied, Well you got what you paid for. Great location right next to the UNO South Campus. 2. They support Mavericks Hockey 3. They keep really clean with a hostess on staff who proactively cleans up the area. Worst QDOBA I have ever been to. I normally like qdoba and have had really good luck with them but today 2-18-21 at approximately 4:30pm They fell flat staff was incredibly rude had the wife in tears, food was cold and under cooked or not cooked at all. Obviously these young men have no idea what customer service is. I won't be going back and think the health department probably need to pay them a visit before someone gets sick. read more

The food was great which is why the got any stars for my review. Just know before you go in, they they are out of a lot of things. Wish they would have been nicer, I have been tipping hospitality workers well but just could not do it after this interaction. Decent fast food meal. Typical Qdoba experience. Get in line, let them know what you want ( a bowl or a burrito) and they make it with the ingredients you want. Add in a fresh batch of chips and guacamole or cheese, and you are in business. Staff was friendly enough and it is always nice to see someone out wiping down tables and cleaning up when it is slow. Expect a filling meal for your money, and to me at least, it tastes a lot better than a fast food chain burger. Definitely a good quick meal when needed. read more

Qboda has always given college students a free drink with the purchase of their meal. I filled my glass with soda and a cook came over and informed me they don't do the student discount anymore blaming it on corporate. He even threw away my glass!! He could've just told me I needed pour it out and fill it up with water; he didn't need to waste a glass. That probably costs them more than the soda did.
