Many Mexican restaurants in the area use flour tortillas for tacos. I believe those are for burritos and bunuelos. If you know you know! They don't hold back when it comes to portion honestly 4 to 6 people can eat off the large nachos. I get the steak nachos and I gotta tell you it's not fatty and grisly, lean and very tender. Otherwise, this thing was golden. The salsa were all good, but definitely leaned towards the red sauce. They also offered complimentary chips. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of seating. For an appetizer we had the mini spicy elote empanadas. Sad part they were not hot and you can tell they came frozen. The sauce that came with was good. For dinner my husband had the Big Juan and I had the beef chimichanga. My husband was sad that we never given chips. Also he had no sides with his dinner. I had a side of rice and beans. The rice was either undercooked or very dry, it was hard. The chimichanga had a good taste but didn't taste fried. My husband's Big Juan was missing sour cream. He said it was alright but not good enough to have again. Tried on a whim, don't plan on returning. The restaurant was very loud we couldn't talk to one another across the table. But disappointed.

It was not especially busy or crowded when I went around 1pm on a Sunday. They did not wait tables here, instead you order when you first enter and then seat yourself. As a result, many of the tables could've used a good wipe down when we came in, but maybe they had just finished with the lunch rush. They have a very extensive menu with some unique dishes that not every Mexican restaurant offers. The staff was friendly and politely answered our questions. I was surprised that they had a mini salsa bar with chips sitting out, it was a good alternative to not giving out free chips since there isn't a wait staff. It was a neat concept, but the chips didn't seem quite as fresh as I would normally prefer. I ordered the steak quesadilla and was pleasantly surprised by the size. I certainly took half of it home to munch on later. The flavor and quality was good overall. My friend enjoyed her California burrito, which was extremely large. She also was pleasant surprised by their fountain drink pricing. Great value overall. I don't know if I'd come back here for a Mexican restaurant night out with friends, but it is certainly a good quick option (they also have a drive-through), for a high value lunch or takeout!
