One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to! I've been there on a couple different occasions and the nachos are awesome! They don't hold back when it comes to portion honestly 4 to 6 people can eat off the large nachos. I get the steak nachos and I gotta tell you it's not fatty and grisly, lean and very tender. Located in Council Bluffs, IA, this place has a huge selection on the menu to choose from. Everything is really good but the tacos are GREAT! They have a salsa bar with some pickled veggies. They are always fast and friendly. They used to be 24 hours before Covid but the hours have changed. I think they close from 3 or 4 am for a couple of hours. They have breakfast burritos and more too! Dining room has been empty every time I've been there so it's quiet but the drive thru has a steady stream of cars that never ends! read more

Decided to try this out since I heard good things. The parking lot is pretty tiny but they have a drive thru. I went there around 6:30 and it seemed pretty dead. There were about two cars in front of me in the drive thru and they got it through pretty quickly. The carne asada burrito was pretty delicious. The only thing I would add next time is some hot sauce, which I add to most burritos. I'd definitely recommend this place. Like I said, I didn't dine in so I'm not sure how quick the inside is, but if the drive thru is any indication, it'd be pretty quick. read more

Went to Juventino's for the first time in several years, I was extremely pleased! Ordered food for 4 adults and the price was great!! I had the enchilada and burrito combo, I tell you it is so worth the money!! There was so much food I couldn't eat it all! I went here for the first time ever....the menu on the drive thru was extremely hard to read as the sun was so bright -- they need to put some sort of "shades" up on it. Luckily, I looked it up online and knew what I wanted. I got a chicken torta sandwich, and a chicken burrito combo. When I got home, they were both still warm. Just excellent. Went there at nearly 2am because the Taco Bell across the street was closed. What a great place to stumble upon. Had probably the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Had been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant since we moved here from the west coast. Authentic = No American or Velveeta cheese on their dishes. Only one other place comes close or ties Juventinos for very reasonably priced authentic Mexican food in Council Bluffs. Service is quick and served hot off the grill. Tried this restaurant for the first time the other day. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The food is outstanding and the portions are gargantuan. For the price you pay, it's well worth it. The staff is exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to explain the items we ordered on the menu. We had the beef burrito combo, the enchilada combo and a bean tostada. Everything was fantastic. We also tried a side of the spicy Mexican carrot's, I will come back for those alone. Highly recommend this place. read more

Authentic Mexican food served fast! Reminds me a lot of Aberlardo's in Omaha, but with a pared down menu. The chorizo plate came with egg - a welcome surprise! Tamale was fantastic, if a bit small. Our favorite was the chimichanga. Their meat/bean filling was perfectly seasoned. I would have awarded a 5 star, but they were out of both the Lengua tacos and Horchata drinks. When this was Alvarados it was the best authentic Mexican food. Now it's changed to Juventinos . I didn't even notice name change but the first bite of my carne asada burrito set the pace for the $50 of food we ordered through drive thru. Ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito turned out to be an egg burrito hardly any chorizo, no cheese. This was an evening order also ordered green chili burrito, Colorado, Carne asada, quart Beans lg quac used unripe avocados. Large!!!! Veins in the carne asada, done on 1 bite but the dogs ate good also they put LOTS of eggs in all burritos?????? NEVER GO BACK it was really bad!!! read more

This is my go-to fast food Mexican restaurant. It's close to where I live and it has a convenient drive thru that normally pushes out orders quickly. I've noticed that depending on the time of day that you come, you'll get service that may be great or may actually piss you off. I've even asked the "better" (in my opinion) cashier at the window and she told me that I'm not the first person to ask if the cooks switch shifts. In my opinion, the tastier of the chefs (and a lot of others agree apparently) works from the morning until 6 or so. He/She paired with the wonderful cashier at the window make for an awesome duo! It's always a pleasure to order from them and the food? Bomb dot com! A lot of these type of fast food Mexican restaurants have the exact same offerings but it is how they cook everything. If cooked correctly, which thankfully it is most of the times I've come has AWESOME carnitas tacos! So tasty with the crispy edges of the pork. Their carne Asada are also yummy. I've on occasion have gotten their carne Asada fries and even their rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole. I also get the Arizona burrito often. It's essentially carne Asada, potatoes and pico de gallo. I like the food here! They cook it well! It's quick when the drive thru is not packed with cars but generally quick and decently affordable! Whether you need a quick meal or hungry after a late night of partying, this place is perfect for all those needs. Also notable: they've NEVER got my order wrong! Not the best asada burrito I've ever had and definitely not the worst. You can tell they don't actually use skirt steak (at least not when I got my burrito) so the meat isn't as tender as true carne asada should be. My guess is they use a cheaper cut like serloin or perhaps round. That being said, the green and red salsas were good and so was the guac inside the burrito and the ingredients all tasted fresh. What they do with pork is amazing! We found the ground beef to be a bit flat, so add a salsa to it. So affordable, HUGE servings. Wish my belly could fit it all in! Very nice people. read more

Don't let the bright colors on this former Pizza Hut building scare you. The food is as authentic as the Mexican staff. The $5 breakfast burritos are monstrous and easily outpace anything Taco Bell offers. The lunch\dinner menu is extensive and they do not skimp on the spices. The quote " Don't judge a book by its cover" fits this restaurant. The place is pretty much a dump hole, period! But their food are awesome especially the steak tacos or the tongue tacos. The tacos are pretty big....they give you two tortillas with whole bunch of meats and onions/guacamole per taco....more than enough to eat. The price is pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. This place is okay depending upon who is working. I have ordered here the last three times and the order has been wrong. I don't eat pork due to religious reasons and have made this clear each time I ordered my potato and egg burrito, however, each time it has ended up with meat.
