Lina's never lets us down. I usually get a shrimp burrito or shredded beef tacos, but most importantly they have mild restaurant style salsa that I grew up with. This is the Mexican spot that we usually hit when we want some comfort food that reminds us of back home. The service is quick sometimes language barrier is a little bit of issue, but they always make it right. You can take it to go, they are open 24 hours a day and you can also stop in. We love it. This is quite possibly the worst "Mexican" food I've ever had in my life. We ordered several items and not a single thing was good. Where do I even start? "Big Tacos" - these aren't big at all. They're basically the size of Taco Bell's small hardshell tacos, except almost twice the price and half the quality. The ground beef was dry and bland. The shells had the same texture, consistency, and flavor that you'd find in a cheap box of DIY shells from ALDI, except worse. "Rolled Tacos" - these are taquitos. Just call them what they are. Again, the meat was dry and bland. Tasted like it came out of a pre-made frozen box that they sprinkled some shredded cheese on before heating up. "Cheese Quesdilla" - this was 100% just straight up microwaved. At no point did the tortillas touch a hot pan. To add insult to injury, they put sour cream INSIDE the quesadilla before microwaving it, causing the sour cream to become hot, broken down, and of course making the microwaved quesadilla even soggier. Apparently no one told them sour cream is supposed to be a COLD condiment. The best part about our visit was the drive thru, which wasn't great, either. The person repeated our order wrong no fewer than 3 times at the speaker, and again no fewer than 3 times at the window. Pro: great flavor on the burrito filling. Cons: some dry rice in the burrito, burrito itself not grilled so a little chewy, and I'm sorry, but WTF was the "chips and guac" abomination? Went through the drive through and had the expected service i.e. waited a minute before someone greeted me. Then when I placed the order they did not tell me the total as they evidently had to pull out the abbicus to figure it out. Which is common practice at Lina's as the service sucks, but the food is actual food and not a food like product like TB. So truly appreciate that. However, my chorizo breakfast burrito was made with eggs that were dryer than British humor. Carna asada was bomb though and a go to for sure. I ordered 3 different street tacos - all 3 were dry and not great. Carne asada was dry and flavorless without a ton of sauce, carnitas was the best and most flavorful but still very dry and had to add sauce to moisten it up, Pollo was super dry and I did not finish any of them. Since moving here, Lina's is the closest I have come to finding good quality, fast Mexican food. I ordered a carne asada burrito and rolled taquitos. The flavors were moderate and could definitely be improved upon. The salsa could also be improved on. A good quality green Tomatillo sauce would be a nice addition to your food as well as a more flavorful guacamole. Right now they are my number one fast food Mexican place. Stopped here on the way to work for a breakfast burrito , parking lot can definitely use some patching and the drive thru is fairly right . Ordered and drove up to the window . There was only one employee ( 5:00 am ish so easily done ) he was very friendly and took his time making my burrito which I didn't mind . Rather have them fresh . Asked for some salsas to go with the burrito and off I went . The burrito is big and is easily shared between 2 people , I cut it in 1/2 and shared with a co worker . I ended up With the steak burrito and it was simple as that , steak , egg and cheese . Very good , loaded with steak and eggs. I did have to salt it a bit as it wasn't very seasoned . I love Mexican food more than anything else in the world. whenever I get a chance I always eat Mexican I even like bad Mexican and will give it multiple chances. Hence- Linas has the best hot sauce in town. It's amazing. I only wish that the employees and the food could even match a semblance of how good the sauces are. Every single time I order there every single time without fail they make the order wrong it's not even hard they just don't care enough to make the order right to further prove my point the owners of the restaurant don't even care enough to respond to this message. I digress great sauce not sure how the food i order is because it's never what I order and I've been there at least 10 times. And the others and staff do not care it's really hard to rate. It may not be much to look at, but it has some of the best Mexican food in the area. My kids stop here regularly and never share what they bring home. Made fresh and they have a drive thru. I am always super impressed with the quality of food at Lina's, especially for being 24/7 and pretty cheap. I've come in at 5pm and 3am, and no matter the time, the food is always consistently delicious. I've tried a variety of their tacos, burritos, and plates and the food always tastes fresh and is packed with meat, as opposed to having a bunch of filler-vegetables as some other Mexican restaurants do. Our last visit, we ordered a chicken burrito and carne asada tacos + rice and beans (#10 combo). The burrito was super juicy and I appreciate the even distribution of the filling. The tacos had a bunch of meat on top and super tender and juicy as well and were topped with tomato, onion, cilantro and avocado. Both had great flavor and the rice and beans were pretty good (not much of rice and beans person but the spouse enjoyed them). The best part is Lina's for me is their churros and horchata. They have a variety of fillings (Bavarian, strawberry, etc.) which makes buying one of each very worth it. Horchata is so good! Not too sweet nor watered down. I was also tempted to try their chocoflan, but by the end of our meal I was extremely full - portions are relatively big for what you pay. Overall, not the most appealing establishment, but the food is worth it. Drive-thru waits during the late hours can be kind of long (15 minutes or so), but for the most part service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend if you are in the La Vista area. This spot was given to me by a local Omaha residence after driving all the way from MN for a competition decided to stop in for some burritos. After seeing other reviews saying how big the meals were was very excited to try the food. I got my order and was highly disspointed the burrito was no bigger then ordering just a regular taco. I ordered lunch for several people from Uber Eats on a Thursday. First of all, the food was plentiful and very good. We had super nachos, rolled tacos, burritos, and beef tacos. I usually guage rice as one of my criteria for liking Mexican food, but I didn't order any. The portions were so big I didn't miss it. The food arrived super fast----shoutout to MICHAEL from Uber eats---but I got busy at work and mine sat a while. It held up really well. It was packaged great and still pretty warm.
