    Fajitas
    Derek M.

My wife and I stop by for dinner Saturday night amongst the chaos in shadow Lake for their tree lighting ceremony. Our server was very friendly and provided great service even though she was very shy. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of meat in my fajita trio and ended up taking a ton home for leftovers. They served the fajitas with one large flour tortilla, but I wish they would offer smaller ones instead of having to pull apart the tortilla. I was shocked to see my sides included a mayonnaise/pasta salad and Mexican rice. I do wish they offered salsa or pico tableside, or I wish they offered something besides guacamole as an appetizer for some type of dip. Overall great experience, and I will definitely be ordering the fajitas again because they are delicious.

The Ribeye and everything that it comes with. It was $33 and worth every penny!

My wife and I went here for dinner not knowing what to expect. This restaurant opened in the old Mas Chingon location in Shadow Lake and we thought we would give it a try. This was a very pleasant experience for us. The service was amazing, the layout is still similar but a little more upscale. The food though, it was amazing. I ordered the ribeye because it sounded good thinking I would get the steak and a side of rice and beans or something similar. It came out as a whole platter and was absolutely delicious! My wife ordered Sushi which she was happy that she only ordered one roll because the portions here are huge! We will definitely be coming back to this location and bringing our kids. The menu is very diverse and has something for everyone!

    Fried Tilapia

They were struggling with the air conditioning toys, but what a great experience! The staff all had smiles and were hustling to keep guest served and stocked on drinks! Hubs ordered a Long Island Iced tea which was made strong and PERFECTLY! One of the best in Omaha. I opted for a double shot of Don Julio Anejo with lime and salt. Can't go wrong! The chips and fresh salsa came out before our water and we dove in! Hubs ordered the Fried Tilapia and it was a little overdone and dry. It's what happens when you are hustling in a kitchen. It was still seasoned deliciously and the macaroni salad and rice both had good flavor. I ordered two sushi rolls and they were perfection! So fresh! The tuna and yellowtail had ZERO "fishiness" and tasted so incredibly fresh! They didn't skimp on the fillings! Proportion to rice was fantastic!

If you've not been to one of the Isla Del Mar locations do yourself a favor and go. The food was incredible (I had the shrimp in bang bang sauce and the amazing sangria)! The atmosphere was great and the service even better. If you go to the Shadow Lake location ask for Daniel. He took excellent care of us! We will definitely be back!

Small portions, high prices, I ordered a shrimp ceviche tower and it was fish, with just 2 whole shrimp on top, never again

The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare and the truffle fries had a nice texture with a little sauce on top. The risotto was nice and creamy. The Argentinian steak was tender and not too heavy. The fish sandwich was gigantic. The Brussels sprouts were soft and crispy with no bitterness. There was not one dish that was not satisfactory. The only thing I wish they did was maybe do something extra special for my birthday... like maybe a birthday dessert or something! However, service was fine. The waiter had to ask 3 times what we wanted because he didn't write it down or anything but that's ok. Not a big deal.

A member of our party gott a hibiscus Margherita, which she liked. The beer list is good, but they make it very tough to know what beers are available. The server had a hand written list. The list was nowhere else that I saw. A but inconvenient. The Red I had was really good, though. We didn't do appetizers, and I decided to try the Argentinian Steak. Wow, I was pretty disappointed. I should have known it wasn't what I expected when I wasn't asked a temperature for my steak. I expected it sliced, which it wasn't. It was.little bits of steak that werent very tender over a bed of corn. The dish was kind of bland. For the small size, I expected a savory presentation, which was not the case. They forgot the crispy potatoes that were advertised to come with my meal, but I didn't ask for them, as I initially thought they were inside the small pile of food on the plate. They were not. The tortillas were corn, but the menu does not specify. (I prefer flour tortillas, but that was just a preference of mine that didn't affect this review.) The small portion and bits of steak that was bland are what I will remember. The rest of my party loved their food. A couple got actual steaks and a couple got the buffalo chicken gouda pasta. One got a wedge salad with steak, and she got more steak than I did in my dish. I'd like to give it another shot later, but this visit was underwhelming. I'll update when I try it again. Service was great.

The space is super cute and bigger than I expected. I love that the windows open up and give it an indoor/outdoor vibe, and the tropical décor makes it feel fun and cozy at the same time. There's plenty of seating, and they can fit both small and big groups. We were a party of about eight and were still able to find a good spot together. Something I really liked is that they let you bring food from other places since they don't serve any, which is perfect if you want to hang out for a while. Their drink menu is huge, and the presentation is honestly amazing. When we first got there it was slow, but it definitely got busier as the night went on. We did struggle a bit when it was time to check out because all the servers were running around, so just be ready for that on a busy night. Overall, we had a great time. The drinks were really good, the vibe was great, and I'd definitely go back.

It was kind of confusing whether we had to go order at the bar or if someone was going to come take our order, but eventually someone came to us. I got the Exotic Bird and it was definitely my favorite drink out of the group. The seating was a bit of a challenge as we had to seat ourselves and we had a decently large group, so we had to wander around for a bit trying to find a spot, but we eventually did. I'll probably be back to try more drinks, but maybe when they are less busy!

We first visited PaC at a Yelp event, but now we are hooked on their popcorn! The cocktails portion of Popcorn and Cocktails is nothing to sneeze at either. They are super smooth and flavorful, and the perfect pairing with a little side of popcorn. They even have pairings on their menu that show you which popcorns go best with each cocktail (and each cocktail actually comes with a side of that popcorn). If you like your side of popcorn that came with your cocktail, you can also purchase a large bag of it to take home! Our favorite popcorns have been the French Toast, Bourbon Bacon Cheddar, and Peanut Butter. They have popcorns for every craving - savory or sweet. And the cocktail we've liked the best was the Summer Peach - which literally came with a peach candy on the rim! So easy to drink and a little sweet. Popcorn with cocktails might sound like an odd combination, but PaC does it perfectly and will convert you to a fan of this combo!!

What a great hook. Perfect bar for "grownups" who want a nice drink in a chill setting. It's women owned, always a plus.
