Chorizo queso... Definitely would order again

If I could leave 4.5 stars I would, but they didn't quite earn five so I have to go with four stars. Overall, the food is excellent, the margaritas are average, and the space is a bit cramped but the service is friendly. I typically judge a Mexican place by a number of factors, one of which is the salsa. The salsa is fresh, flavorful, and a perfect thin consistency to go with their perfectly warmed chips. From fajitas to tacos to quesadillas and kids meals, the food here is one of the best at Mexican places in West Omaha, in my opinion. Everything is seasoned really well, cooked perfectly, comes out hot, and is exactly what you ordered. They really seem to have the execution down. For example, I ordered a dish that had grilled chicken in it, and so often grilled chicken is bland and dry and restaurants. But here it was juicy and very flavorful. The space is pretty small. They probably have about 20 tables and if you walk across the restaurant, you'll have to wait for someone else to get by. There's definitely not enough space on either side of the tables for more than one person to walk. It definitely gives the overall impression of being pretty cramped and tight. On a Friday night we waited about 25 minutes for a table of three having arrived at about 5:20 PM. The service is good and friendly. Our server checked in with us multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. One thing to note is that the cell signal and Internet connection is almost impossible within the restaurant. That said, they do have guest Wi-Fi and you can ask for the password from your server or a bartender, and the signal is pretty good.

We picked this spot on a "Mexican near me" from Yelp. This was a good spot for our group of 5 for margaritas and tasty Mexican fare. Fast service. We would eat here again. Parking outside the restaurant.

Love Mexican food and this place was really good. Golden margarita was yummy. We had the mixed fajitas and the steak was amazing, well seasoned. Place was nice with lots of color and decorations. Server brought out the drinks fast! :) would like to go back to try some different menu items. Salsa was good.

Wow! What a gem of Mexican restaurant found in northwest Omaha! We have actually been here twice in the last month already because it's just THAT good. High quality flavor and ingredients paired, with reasonable prices , equals a new go to spot for our family. Casa Jalisco offers the traditional Mexican dishes we all love, as well as some unique options (one which we tried and highly recommend)! We tried the Pina Rellena (stuffed pineapple with fajita meat/veggies) which comes with a side of rice, cold toppings and taco shells. This is enough for two people with how much it serves. Everything was fresh, tender and extremely flavorful! Both types of guacamole you can't go wrong with. Traditional is more the sauce-like, whereas their other one is more of a ceviche type with thick cut pieces and tomatoes. Definitely flavor and textures, but both are some of the best in town! The staff is always very friendly, and efficient when we've been there for both dine in and take out. If you haven't tried Casa Jalisco yet, make your way there for your next meal!!

CasaJaliscoMexican Bar & Grill New Mexican Resturant near 144/Fort Tonight we tried out the new Resturant near our home, it's nice getting more options along West Fort in Omaha. We were seated right away and as most traditional Mexican Resturants we received chips n salsa. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Getting around most of the place in a wheelchair would be difficult due to closeness of the tables but we were sat at an open table closer to the door so it wasn't a problem. Our order was a kid's chicken quesadilla (not pictured) that was served with beans and rice, a chicken chimichanga served with rice n beans, bandera Mexicana served with rice n beans, quesaBirria tacos served with rice and then to go we ordered a chicken quesadilla that came with rice n beans along with chips n salsa. Everything tasted great and we will go back again for sure.

Wow this place is poppin! We live right across from This plaza and have been eagerly awaiting its opening. Last night a group of four went around 7:30 and there was a large amount of people waiting in the entry. We put in our names and we're told it would be about a 30 minute wait we sat in our car while we decided what to do after a few minutes we decided we'll just wait when we came back in about 15 minutes later we were able to get seated. This place is about a quarter of the size of the average La Mesa making it very small but very busy we started with chips, salsa and queso. It is a white queso. It was OK not super flavorful but definitely a cheese dip. I ordered the steak fajitas with extra vegetables and it was ample for only two dollars more you can get double the vegetables all in all the steak was really good. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and the corn tortillas tasted fresh. I can see this being a very popular Mexican spot in the area of town that it was desperately needed. They have a full bar and plenty of booths, but it is tiny and there can be waits. Probably best to call ahead. The service was OK, but I'm sure they're still getting used to high volume evenings and the place was clean. I'm excited they're in the neighborhood and we will be back.

It's super cute inside, with so many bright colors, neat Día de los Muertos murals along the walls, colorful pendants strung on top of the dining area, and a very cool bar with a patterned, arched shelves. Even the dishes and cups are fabulous, with earthenware mugs, blue Talavera style dishes and bowls, and even branded El Milagro margarita glasses. Now more importantly, the FOOD is just as good as the decor and the dishware. They use extra high quality ingredients, and everything is always served hot and fresh. We have had the birria, nachos, street tacos, flautas, and so many other things when we branch out and try something new. Their drink options are also great, with strong margaritas, crisp cervesas, and tasty cocktails. The service is always fantastic, and they are always hopping with customers, so you know you found a good spot. Best of all, you get pretty large portions, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the newer Mexican restaurants in town. Next time you're thinking about heading to the Texas Roadhouse area, skip the Roadhouse and try El Milagro instead! I guarantee you will not regret your decision.

However, unlike other Mexican restaurants you do have to pay for additional salsa. I went with a house margarita and the benveza beer, and both were good and cold. I went with the steak picaditas. I hadn't had them before but they were similar to a torta, except the base is a very thick corn tortilla. I like the flavor of the steak, tortilla, sour cream and veggies combined. My husband got the birria platter and liked it. It's very similar to Javi's birria. Overall everything was good.

The tacos I had were very warm and very filling, I was able to take some home for lunch the next day. The servers were very friendly and was able to help out when we had questions. The place itself was very well decorated and didn't seem cluttered. This last visit they had the entire restaurant decorated for Valentine's Day coming up. But, besides the additional decorations the overall vibe is what you would expect for a Mexican restaurant but more. The service has been friendly and fast! The original Margarita is very good and for the price its about 3 servings. The complementary chips & salsa is great and more of a forgotten service nowadays, but great to see that Alegre is still doing it. The homemade tortilla chips are so good so be careful to not fill up on these before the main entrees. Kendra got the Chile Verde which was massive and was enough food for leftovers the next day. And, I had the Ceviche Sampler which is new and definitely worth every penny! It's hard to find restaurants that have ceviche on the menu, but this has been one of my favorites if you love seafood and a repeater for me! If your looking for more of an upscale $$ Mexican restaurant with great food, service and ambiance it's hard to beat El Muchacho Alegre.
