This restaurant is quietly tucked away near the old town portion of Council Bluffs. Metered Street parking is available in the area. We were there mid afternoon and there was quite a bit of activity. I'm guessing that this location gets a lot of traffic later in the evenings and on weekends. Don't let the slightly frazzled menus fool you, this restaurant is immaculate! I cannot believe that I have never been here before. The hours of this restaurant and its menu clearly reflect the ability to get Mexican style breakfast, lunch or dinner all day long. Our servers bilingual capability reflects the clientele that are attracted to this wonderful spot. Great chips, nice fresh salsa with a little bit of heat and very good guacamole. I love the fact that they offer a little bit smaller portions so that you don't end up feeling like you have to stuff yourself or leave a little bit behind. The pricing is great and clearly beer and margaritas are readily available. There is even a corner of the restaurant that caters to Mexican style snacks. Great desserts too! We will definitely be coming back here again - and so should you!

Missing/wrong dressing, didn't omit toppings when requested, forgot simple things like drink cups, and made specialty items poorly. The food quality is also hit and miss. I recommend staying away from the rice during later part of day. Consistently dry and inedible pieces. Also tried the new cherry fizz drink. They put way too much syrup...definitely avoid. And if something goes wrong, the management doesn't really care...nor will they try to make it right. Sadly, Taco John is now off our weekly rotation. Eat here at your own risk.

She went in the back and returned with a small foam cup. I then asked if she had a lid for it because my order is to go. At this point your employee started making baseless accusations at me about how i was going to take more salsa than i am entitled to. First let me say i paid well over $13 dollars per burrito plus tax. There is no sign that states i am limited to how much salsa i am allowed on my burrito. However i had not even stepped over to the salsa at any point to take any of it. I told her to forget it and just return my money and i will go elsewhere. Your employee refused to return my money and refused to give me the food i paid for in front of other customers mind you. At this point i left and went to the police station to make a police report. Of course Lincoln police claim its a civil matter that your employee stold over $28 dollars of my money. This all happend at approximately 5:55 PM on 4/11/26. When i returned inside the store to get a witnesses name your employee was laughing about it with a customer. I will spread this incident far and wide from today forward.

I certainly took half of it home to munch on later. The flavor and quality was good overall. My friend enjoyed her California burrito, which was extremely large. She also was pleasant surprised by their fountain drink pricing. Great value overall. I don't know if I'd come back here for a Mexican restaurant night out with friends, but it is certainly a good quick option (they also have a drive-through), for a high value lunch or takeout!

They did remake my food but the enchiladas were small and skinny and the tacos the beef was burnt and I was not refunded. So I wasted an hour of my time and 30 dollars of my hard-earned money. It's one thing to mess up someone's order and promise to fix it but when they get there you don't honor what you say on the phone. Again save your money and time, don't eat there. There are other Mexican restaurants who will be glad to serve you.

"Cheese Quesdilla" - this was 100% just straight up microwaved. At no point did the tortillas touch a hot pan. To add insult to injury, they put sour cream INSIDE the quesadilla before microwaving it, causing the sour cream to become hot, broken down, and of course making the microwaved quesadilla even soggier. Apparently no one told them sour cream is supposed to be a COLD condiment. The best part about our visit was the drive thru, which wasn't great, either. The person repeated our order wrong no fewer than 3 times at the speaker, and again no fewer than 3 times at the window. The person wasn't rude or unfriendly by any means; just seemed like their manager set them up to fail by providing little to no training for the role.
