Last time I visited this restaurant was 10 months ago. Yesterday, for Mother's Day, we decided to come back and try both their brunch menu and the main menu they created. There were five of us sitting on the first floor, and we absolutely loved the food and the brunch. We had the cheese omelet and the salmon croissant -- both were amazing and very delicious. From the main menu, we ordered the steak, filet mignon, and seafood risotto. Everything tasted excellent. Thank you again for opening such a wonderful restaurant. There were a lot of people, and the staff were extremely busy, so we completely understand the situation. We waited about 30 minutes for the food, but that was understandable because the restaurant was packed and the workers were doing their best. I booked this place under OpenTable and unfortunately it was never said to write "rooftop" in the reservation; I thought that was the whole point of the Mother's Day brunch special. When my family and I were seated, we were toward the back of the first floor so I asked the person seating us if we could be placed in the patio area. They said there were too many reservations and every table was booked. (Little did we know we were one of 4 parties on the bottom level and a family that was seated near us asked to be moved in that same area and was accommodated for) Our server was considerate checking in on us and keeping us updated on our food arrival. However, for a "nice" restaurant like this waiting over 30 minutes for breakfast food is just not good quality. My poached eggs were ice cold, the egg omelette was undercooked, and the pancakes were dry (there was also a hair in it). For breakfast ranging between $22-26 there was no outstanding quality or flavor. I should've taken pictures but unfortunately at that point we just wanted to eat and go. The only item we enjoyed was the honey cake but that was due to the fact it's a consistent dessert item. For next time if you have specials, prepare for the event and have a tasting before putting it on the menu. They have a wonderful rooftop bar and lounge with a peekaboo of the ocean off of PCH. The menu is very eclectic, which makes it nice depending on what you're in the mood for. From salmon to a charcuterie, board burgers and spaghetti, Bolognese. The grilled octopus appetizer was delicious.. The service was very nice. We had cocktails upstairs, watched the sunset and went downstairs to the dining room room to have dinner. Music was great. Wish I could give ZERO STARS. Absolutely horrible customer service, so disorganized, rude staff. I booked the Mother's Day brunch on the rooftop 2 weeks prior, I even have a picture of my reservation. They admitted they messed up and tried to seat us on the first level inside and not a part of the event at all. We left. This also happened to 3 other families in the 10 minutes I was there, all of us having reservations. They didn't attempt to fix the problem at all for anyone. Disappointing new restaurant. I also ordered a few drinks and I believe the East Meets West was the name and wow it was strong but so flavorful and yummy! I also ordered the Ahi Sashimi and it was also very good, fresh and not fishy at all. For dessert I had the Tiramisu which hit the spot, so good! The head chef has worked in Michelin Star restaurants around the world, and truly it shows in the flavors and depth of the food! We made a reservation in advance and from the very first minute everything felt smooth and well organized. When we arrived, we were offered a choice between indoor seating and the veranda. We chose the veranda and it turned out to be the perfect decision. The sunset was beautiful, the weather was amazing, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed yet elegant. One small detail that immediately caught my attention was the swivel chairs. It may sound minor, but not having to constantly move your chair every time you stand up makes a difference. It is those thoughtful touches that show attention to comfort. Our waiter, Kevin, was outstanding. He was attentive without being intrusive and gave detailed, subtle explanations about each dish. The level of service was truly high. We ordered wine, and Kevin suggested trying one of their cocktails. The cocktail was excellent, so much so that I ended up having more than five of them throughout the evening. We tried a variety of dishes from the menu and everything was fantastic. The flavors were balanced, the presentation was beautiful, and you could clearly see the chefs know exactly what they are doing. It was my girlfriend's birthday, so we were celebrating and sharing every dish between us. After each course, Kevin replaced all our plates, which is something not every restaurant does. These small details consistently showed a very high standard of service. By the end of the evening, after enjoying many different dishes, we finished with tiramisu, and it was absolutely delicious. A perfect ending to the dinner. As we were leaving, the restaurant's director personally came to say goodbye. We had a very pleasant conversation, and she was incredibly kind. With permission from the chef, we were even allowed to step to the entrance of the kitchen. It was large, spacious, and very clean. As a former chef myself, I could immediately see the professionalism, structure, and deep commitment to quality and service. This is definitely a restaurant you want to come back to, and I absolutely will. First time here ! It was an amazing experience. All the servers and host were so welcoming and accommodating. I tried the spaghetti carbonara and it was the best thing ever ! However, the menu is all over the place and some of the items they show on their website are not actually on the menu. And half of the items that were on the menu in the restaurant they didn't have when we were there. It was a Thursday night so I'm sure it wasn't that they ran out of those items, they just flat out didn't bother to have the items available. They kept pushing the items they must have had on hand!! The service was also just OK. For the prices they charge (20- 30 dollars for a bowl of soup!!) they were neither attentive nor accurate in bringing the right dishes to our table. There were only a few tables with customers so not sure why it was so challenging to keep track of what dishes go where). They never brought clean dishes or silverware either for new courses. Finally the food was just OK. We had the hummus and pita. The pita was amazing and probably the best thing there but the hummus was just average. The salmon salad was flavorless with what tasted like Costco smoked salmon and no dressing on the lettuce. The grilled octopus was good but nothing special. Our friends had the sea bass which was over cooked. We all agreed that none of us would be compelled to return to this place. Too bad since it is a really pretty spot. read more

Valentine's Day Dinner was a DISASTER! There was 3 of us & arrived 15min early from our reservation time & were seated promptly but no waiter w/ a greeting for 20-25min & we had to flag down a waiter. We had to ask for water & the waiter didn't know how to explain the Valentine's Day Menu. We had to get 2 separate managers to explain the menu & the food arrived way late. The Salmon was good but Fliet Mignon most definitely not worth the price. We complained & were not charged for one meal & all the drinks! It seemed like management did not plan for the Valentine's Day Evening rush as well as orient the waiters with menu expectations. We were initially hesitant to try this place bc it was their soft opening & it was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon. However, we couldn't pass up on the beautiful ambiance & the restaurant let us look at their menu prior to coming in & the their food sounded legit so we gave it a try. This cheese dish had a rich depth of garlic flavor. The texture was gooey & melted in my mouth. Toppings included rosemary & cherry tomatoes which harmonized the dish well. I would re-order this again. We also had the burrata with mango/tomato arugula salad which tasted fresh. The burrata was soft & the mango added a touch of sweetness that gave the salad a good balance. Lastly, we had salmon carpaccio. This was different from other carpaccios I've had & I really enjoyed this one! Combination of the olive oil, lemon, balsamic, & orange was a perfect complement to this dish. Upon visiting, I had to ask what the Q in Q terrace, stands for-- In which, I was told it stands for Quintessence! (I also learned that they have a second location in Kyiv!) I've ate at many restaurants and have watched as the city grows. So I can confidently say Q terrace has the most beautiful rooftop in Laguna. In addition to the nice sunset views, they also have really good food! I especially enjoyed their Chicken Kyiv, which is a crispy chicken fillet in the shape of a loaf with garlic butter inside, on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. When I cut into the chicken, the butter oozed out of the chicken & on to the potatoes.. it was *chefs kiss*. I rarely finish my meals but I honestly devoured this whole dish, by myself, it was THAT good. I had a bite of my friend's Seafood Risotto, which was also tasty! It was beautifully plated plus had a generous portion of shrimp/scallops/calamari. For dessert, we ordered Apple Strudel & tiramisu. Both were yummy! But my personal favorite was the apple strudel!! It was flaky, warm, & delicious. I wanted to order another but I stopped myself bc I was so full. Although I don't drink, I noticed they have a full bar & lots of wine! Came to Q Terrace on Jan 7, 2026, for their advertised Orthodox Christmas special menu with a group of 7 (families with kids). Booked expecting a festive, quiet dinner. Instead: Seated downstairs due to upstairs wedding. Loud blasting music from the event ruined the meal -- couldn't hear each other for 20+ minutes, kids upset and crying. Complaints to staff and manager went nowhere; no resolution or compensation offered. Bill surprise: 20% auto-gratuity added for large party with zero disclosure beforehand (not on menu or mentioned at booking) -- this practice seems to violate CA laws on fee transparency. Food was okay, views nice, but poor event management and handling of complaints made it a regrettable visit. Not recommended for families or special occasions. read more

Came here because we saw a video and the place looked great. The view of the beach was pretty decent, which added to the vibe. We were initially seated downstairs, but it was kind of loud since it's right by the street. I asked to be moved upstairs and they kindly accommodated, which I appreciated. I ordered the lavender Aperol spritz, but it was just okay. I couldn't really taste the lavender. My boyfriend's mojito, on the other hand, was amazing! Our entrées were just okay. I thought the plate they used for the ribeye was odd and not very functional. Also, my food wasn't hot when it was served, so I was kind of bummed . The star of the show for me was definitely the calamari. It was so so good! Service was pretty slow overall, but the place is still pretty new, so I'm at least giving it 3 stars. A Hidden Gem Worth Supporting! Q Terrace this place is a standout! The food was excellent. I had the sea bass along with a burrata, mango, and tomato salad that was absolutely delicious. The sweetness of the mango was perfectly balanced with a touch of cayenne pepper--just the right amount of heat. My husband had the spaghetti carbonara, and it was really good, too. The service was warm and friendly, and the atmosphere felt both relaxed and refined. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is Ukrainian, along with her American husband and their lovely daughters who also work there. Since it wasn't too busy, we were even given a tour and got to meet the chef and staff--such a treat! We'll definitely be back. We made a 1:15 PM reservation for Mothers' Day lunch on the roof terrace. In the reservation we specifically requested a table with plenty of shade. We were told the reservation was for brunch and there would be live music (a guitar player/singer). When we arrived they tried to seat us at a long rectangular fire pit table that would be an appropiate spot for evening drinks, but not a mother's day brunch. It was not an actual table. It was in direct and unbearable sunlight, but surrounded by tables full of people seated at actual tables under very nice umbrellas. Who would want to take their mother to lunch and have her cook in the the sun while eating at a fire pit/cocktail bar, while she watched everyone around her dining comfortably at real tables? The manager offered to seat us downstairs but that was not the ambiance we reserved or were looking for. We were there for the rooftop brunch! The only place available with shade on the terrace was at the bar, so that is where our party of 6 had lunch. We saw open tables at several points during the afternoon, but each time we asked to move we were told they were reserved. I watched two tables for 4 that were under umbrellas and that could easily have been put together for us sit completely empty for the last 2 hours we were there. Despoite the fact that the manager knew we did not want to be sitting at the bar, and despoite the fact that we had inquired several times about empty tables we could seee, nobody ever offered them to us. We spent the entire afternoon seated at the bar. At the end of our meal we ordered dessert and a few coffees, but when neither of them had arrived after almost 30 minutes we cancelled the order, paid the bill and practically ran out of the place. Also, when we arrived for "brunch" we were told that brunch was over and we had to order from the regular menu. The live music ended about 30 minutes after we were seated, so this was not the mothers' day brunch we reserved. Bottom line: this restaurant has a lot of room for improvement and needs serious lessons in hospitality. I genorously gave them 2 stars because most of the food was pretty good and our bartender/server was generally pleasant and helpful. If they can get their service together this could be a nice rooftop terrace for food and drinks. In the meantime, reserve at your own risk. read more

Unfortunately, the quality declined significantly after the appetizer. The seafood risotto arrived lukewarm and undercooked, with rubbery, inedible scallops--one of which I had to discreetly spit out due to its texture. The chicken Kyiv, while expected to contain a buttery filling, released an excessive amount of oil that saturated the mashed potatoes, which were cold to begin with. The salmon avocado croissant featured visibly brown avocado, making it unappetizing. We weren't alone in our experience--another table also voiced concerns about the seafood risotto. A woman who appeared to be the owner and even the chef did approach us, which we appreciated, but the conversation was strained due to a slight language barrier. Her response felt more defensive than constructive, saying, "Well, you don't know chicken Kyiv or how it's made," rather than trying to address the concern thoughtfully. To the restaurant's credit, we were not charged for the entrées, but we did pay for the rest of the meal. At the current price point, the food and service need to match the aesthetic and ambition of the space. While we are tourists, we've dined across the U.S. and abroad--and we know when something is off. Additionally we have been here to Laguna several times. We genuinely hope the restaurant is able to refine its execution and approach to customer service. As it stands, we left feeling dismissed and still hungry. Came for dinner. Chicken Kyiv was raw inside. We asked for it to be cooked more, they brought us a new one. Server was sweet, said a new chef was being trained in the back and apologized. Then before the check came I asked server to ask management for Chicken to be comp'd. He said oh yes of course. Get the bill... they charged us TWICE for the chicken (I.e., one we ordered and the one we needed made because first one was literally pink raw chicken inside). Had the chicken been comp'd I would've just let it go and would never have left a review. It's not about the $30 chicken... it's about charging us for it twice (when we only ordered one) that one coming out raw, and then when I asked if it was going to be comp'd they said yeah of course.
