    Vodka martini

No-nonsense saloon. You stand and drink. Or you grab one of two window side tables and enjoy the view. Service was fast and attentive. My martini was excellent. Not a bad way to end a day at the beach.

This was the next stop on our bucket list of gems to visit and one of our favorite places to visit. My friend and I started off with two mules and sat down at a booth. Both drinks costs us $13 together which was a pleasant surprise. One of the local Saloon goers told us this is where all the locals drink for cheap. After our first drinks our friend met up with us and we all ordered another round. This time I got their house pineapple vodka which was amazing! My friend got another mule, and my other friend got himself an old fashion. It was a lot of fun and we'll definitely be coming back!

Interesting bar in a sea of restaurants on PCH. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. I love that it is a true bar in an area where there are no others. I have generally enjoyed my time here but the place could use a facelift and some friendlier staff. The bar itself feels like it is need of a deep clean. From the upholstered bench seats to the bathroom to the stockroom that you can see from the bar when the door is open ... there are many areas that could be improved to freshen up the overall feel. I get that it's a "saloon" but it could be a cleaner, more comfortable saloon. The bartenders usually seem unhappy and aren't friendly unless you are a regular whom they recognize ... or the owners, who were there late one afternoon. I will say the patrons are very friendly and almost always strike up conversations with new people or groups at the bar. And I love the two little tables in the front windows. I really want to love this place and am super happy they are still here since they were closed for many months. But I find that I now go in with lower expectations than I first had years ago.

If you'd like an overpriced drink by all means, they charged me $32 for two espresso martinis that they didn't make.. they chilled a premade bottle of store bought espresso martini mix. I asked for a real one and both ladies behind the bar were complete mean girls, not kind at all.

No frills bar - great drinks and bartender. We had their pineapple vodka which was perfect. Great way to seal the day at Laguna.

The owner served us initially, and he was really friendly and funny. We ordered a bottle of wine, and some cocktails. We put in some salads and an appetizer, they were really really good. But after that, our server (the owner we were told) left, and another server introduced himself. The new server was inattentive. He sat chatting with the other servers at the bar, leaving empty glasses and empty plates on the table. We had to flag him to come back to fill water. Having been myself in the service industry for years, my biggest pet peeve is when servers sit and chat where you can see them, and when they do come, they don't do a sweep and take care of things on the table. We had to put our empty glasses and trash on a side table. It was weird. The bolognese had hardly any meat in it. It was mostly tomato and onion. I've been to Argentina. Meat is a staple. Also weird. We ordered dessert and after waiting for 5-10 minutes, the server came back and told us they were missing crucial ingredients to make it. The owner came back at the end and was really gracious, but all in all, I think the execution was lacking. The service was not great. The food was 3.5/5 I love to support small business, perhaps we will try again another night.

I'd rate this spot as a solid choice, mainly for the atmosphere and the scenery…read more The Highlights: The views here are absolutely amazing. If you can, timing your visit for sunset on the patio is a must--there's nothing quite like that ocean view as the sun goes down. The service is consistently good as well; the staff is attentive and handles the volume well, which is impressive because this place is a bustling, busy spot during dinner hours. The Food: The food is good, though I wouldn't necessarily call it great. It's reliable and tasty enough, but the view is definitely the primary draw here. The Cons: Be prepared for a wait. It is a very popular local hangout, and there are often a lot of regulars who take up the seating near the entertainment. If you're heading there for dinner, expect to wait at least an hour for a table. Overall, it's a pleasant experience if you aren't in a rush and want a front-row seat to the coast!

This place is always a fun experience for the kids…read more I'm not really a frequent customer here. I've been maybe three times in a year. I don't expect much fanfare. It's basic Hawaiian food and drinks. Got the Loco Moco with the Mac Salad. The hamburger patty was a bit too salty. The patty itself was tender though. Mac Salad was good. Had a lot of egg yolk mixed in. Pineapple fried rice was good. Kids killed their portions pretty quick. Biggest hit was the fish and chips. The fish was super fresh and tender. The batter was really crispy. Definitely will get this again. I would say the cocktails were a bit too light. Need a little more booze to really enjoy it. We sat in the booth. It was long but narrow. The table filled pretty quick with all the dishes so it was a bit of a struggle to make space and be comfortable. Don't forget to check out the fish tank and take a cute picture at the shell bench.

Food-wise, this place is great as well. We got the Pupu Platter, which was really good! The bloomin' onion was great, along with the lumpia and chicken that came on the platter. We also got the spam musubi which was pretty good, just a tad overpriced for what it is. I think appetizer-wise, just stick with the platter and you'll be happy. All the entrees were well received by our party as well. I ordered the chicken which was great, but also heard great things about the short ribs, the shrimp pasta, and the katsu sandwich. What I really enjoyed about this place was the ambiance! The place is decked out in amazing tiki bar decor and it is very immersive. Overall I recommend this place!
