Came to San Clemente for some drinks with friends and we wanted to stop here because the vibe looked cool until the bouncer 'Joe' accused my ID of being fake when I'm well over the age of 21. He threatened to not give my ID back to me unless I showed another form of identification which was crazy. He was extremely rude and once I threatened to call the PD he immediately gave it back because he knows that's illegal to keep somebody's real legal identification card. Never have I ever experienced that at any other bar. Extremely unwelcoming. Have somebody else work the door since Joe can't tell the difference between a real and a fake id. Tall white guy with a funky haircut. Also after reading other reviews this is very common and they are anti military here. Avoid at all costs these guys are bozos. read more

Tonight I came in helping a handicap person in a wheelchair who asked me to wheel them into the building and apparently that person wasn't allowed there so unfortunately, I had to wave goodbye to them, which was very sad because they were handicap and I was just trying to help Immediately after I walked over to the bar waiting for my fire captain husband, who is parking around the corner, and a man started hissing at me, giving me the side of the cross. He appeared to be with his gay lover and was drunk I told him I liked his necklace and I tapped it with my finger and he elbowed me in the face the security saw it, and they did not protect me and I will be filing a police report in the morning After my husband came in the building and demanded that the man apologized to me, he did and I have a videotape of him, apologizing and admitting fault in the facility where the bouncer did not protect me read more

They don't want military which is a huge red flag being that we are a military town and love our military, but he wasn't military. Shame on you, Ole's! Ole's. Oh Ole's. It was here that I finally got to see Conor McGregor get the beating that his gifted but deeply arrogant self had deserved for so long. Khabib Nurmagomedov's win had me screaming for joy until I immediately realized that every other patron in the bar was screaming in anger. I was concerned for a minute that things were going to get "interesting". Maybe out-in-the-parking-lot, go-home-with-some-new-scars kind of interesting. But the riot that followed at the fight venue distracted the patrons from their new potential enemy and the vibe in the room went from anger and disgust to shock and confusion. We showed them all of our Military ID's and they didn't accept them. It is a government issues identification. If they're prejudice to military they should just say that. If you're looking for g for the dirtiest scheithole in a rich neighborhood, this is your huckleberry! Don't worry about cleanliness or kindness, they don't belong here! Don't worry about waiting for a drink menu, they do not have one "this is a dive bar baby" if you want the quality of your service to match the quality of your barstool, and you have zero standards, this place is for you! I'm not a fan of giving places one star, especially when zero stars would be my preference- however, I will say, other than the filth stained baseboards, the stench of last nights floor vomit (which was sadly not vented by leaving both front and back doors open) and the questionable exposed ceiling wiring - this place did have 5 cool photos on the back wall. In a military town, you'd think the that this bar would support the military. This bar does not let any active duty or veterans in. They say you need a California ID to get in, but they are doing this so no marines can go in. How could a business in a military town get away with this? 100% do not go here. As a local, I can tell you this place isn't worth your time or money. The staff here really kills the vibe, and the drinks were below average--not worth the cost. You're better off going to Goodies for a much better experience. It seems like the people who write positive reviews here all know each other, so there might be some bias. read more

My 5 stars mainly go towards one of THE BEST $1 pool tables I have ever played on at a dive bar! First, I was really impressed by the quality of pool sticks they had: unscratched/undamaged, tips not worn down, various weights/sizes. Then, my breaks scattered the balls better than usual, which is an area I struggle with. But my hits were the most spot on or in alignment with my aim, more consistently than they are at cheap pool tables at bars. I was pool-sharking everyone and regret not playing for money!! I realized I played so well when I saw a staff member cleaning the tables at closing time. I have never seen a bar take such care of their pool tables and keep their game prices cheap. Oh, speaking of cheap, their drinks with full bar are cheap, too! Another plus is their complimentary, fresh popped popcorn and $1 for 3 songs jukebox! Friends moved to SC a couple years ago and have made many friends at the local eateries and bars. So, when GNO rolled around we Ubered downtown and walked to all our gf's favorite bars. This place is great. Not too crowded. Very friendly bartenders. Cocktails were excellent. We didn't get around to playing pool but we did manage to sing and dance to a couple songs from the jukebox before moving on to our next stop. We'll be back! read more

This was a bar that we walked by on a Tuesday and it happened to look pretty hopping, so we went in. To our delight they have a taco Tuesday deal-free tacos with drink purchase! We had the house margaritas and they were good. Sports were playing on the tv and it was a college football bar, so my fiancé was excited. They also have a variety of bar games available.
