Love Goodys! We went to enjoy some drinks for my 40th (5 women dressed as men) and we had the best time. Vibes were great and the bartenders were so nice. The only downside is they are not very nice to non-locals. We got pushed around quite a bit and had some rude comments made to us, but I can't fault the bar for that. We come here a few times a year and love it every time! read more

Shoutout to Deedee and taco Tuesday! The specials were legit! Street tacos and perfect price for coronas or Pacifico! Very welcoming spot for a local bar, but I will say Dee Dee was so sweet, so welcoming and made us feel like family. Not much more we could ask for , thanks girl!! read more

Always fun times at G'oodys! Crowd is somewhat younger with military that comes in from Pendleton sometimes. I don't consider myself "young", but dance here from late night until early morning and can party with the best of "em. Great dance floor and DJ, prices are solid and atmosphere is fun! read more

Never been here- it's been the most entertaining place I've been in awhile!! I'm not from this area so it was a breath of fresh air. Holly was super dope. On point and from what I could see treated everyone the same no matter what personality she came across. I think Jesse is either bar back or security- he was nice to me with the minimal convo I had with him. I'll definitely recommend and be back read more

I'd call Goody's a clean large dive bar. It's nice and clean, bartenders are very friendly and patrons' fun. Goody's feature free pool games on Mondays and $5 you call it. There is a decent selection of beers on tap and an outdoor patio on the side of the establishment. It looks like they feature specials every day. Plenty of parking spots. I will go back! read more

Holly is honestly the reason I keep coming back. She's one of those people who makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. She always remembers who you are, takes the time to have a real conversation, and somehow remembers the little things even if it's been a while since your last visit. She's super genuine, down to earth, and never makes you feel like just another customer. It's always nice walking in and having her say hi and remember you. Great service is one thing, but it's rare to find someone who is also just such a kind and authentic person. She's the best! read more

Your typical sports bar with very loud music, a couple of pool tables and a few options for beer. It'll get divy for sure but it'll do the job in a pinch. It looks like they have daily rotating happy hour specials so that seems fun. There's a pretty sizeable parking lot in the back so that was super nice. We went here for Christmas day because it was one of the few places that was open. I guess I'd come here if I was in the neighborhood and wanting to play pool but not otherwise. read more

Locals only hangout. Cheap drinks and surprisingly good bar food..Friendly wait staff.

I was shocked by the blatant disrespect and discriminatory behavior from the staff at Goodies. My friend was denied entry even after providing two valid forms of government ID. It was clear the "ID issue" was just a poor excuse for homophobia, as the bouncer's attitude was incredibly hostile and dismissive once they realized his sexual orientation. We were looking for a fun night out, but instead, we were met with a toxic environment that clearly does not welcome the LGBTQ+ community. There are far better bars in the area that treat all customers with basic human decency. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values inclusivity. What a joke! Had to give a star to post but this place is quite literally disgusting... read more

Sunday 03/22 4ish pm... Sat at the bar for 10 minutes and this chick literally ignored me, walked back and forth. I don't think on purpose, I just think shes clueless. I left and she doesn't know she lost income for the business because she was too ignorant to realize someone was sitting there for 10 minutes. Avoid going there when cr@k smokers are working. read more

I love this bar!! They have karaoke nights and it's amazing because singing is my passion !!!!!the bartender holly is so amazing. There was a fight going on outside and when me and my friend stepped out, she chased after us to lead us back into safety because there were some aggressive people outside getting into a physical tussle. I love her...she's so amazing. And they have great spicy margaritas. Please try. read more

Jacob H, bouncer, ruined my expierience. Will and Tyler were awesome and helped reshape my night. When I told a bouncer about the experience (don't need to name them to get them fired) he told me to write a review. I wrote the review, showed the bouncer, and got kicked out read more

I'm really disappointed to be leaving this review because I truly love Goody's! However, yesterday my friends and I went there to have a fun time and enjoy the music. No more than an hour after we arrived, one of the bartenders flagged us down and told us we had to leave, which made no sense. I've heard of other people getting kicked out too, but that's usually because they're being belligerently drunk or unable to handle themselves. It's unfortunate that I have to write this, but the bartender accused an old friend of mine of leaving an open tab and not tipping. I'm not sure if that was just a tactic to get more money and tips. We received no explanation for what happened. We were simply standing there, enjoying our drinks and socializing. read more

Holly was very good at helping the customers. It was fun watching the Karaoke singers. They were having a blast.

Goodys is the most fantastic place on this planet Holly and Grace deserve a Medal of Honor for there incredible service and Gianna is the coolest person on the entire earth (she runs karaoke sundays and mondays) also the bouncers are great except Jesse won't tell me how tall he is so he gets one star. Had an awesome time at Goody's on a Sunday night! Holly was an excellent bartender! Service was great and everyone was friendly!

Dive bar! Pool tables. Bingo on mondays! Good happy hour. No food but we just carried in from next door. Service was spot on!

Place is great, drinks are amazing, prices are excellent and the bartender Holly is killing it with service and amazing drinks!!

I cannot say enough good things about how amazing the head bartender- Holly is at Goody's Tavern. She made me feel welcome (as i was visiting from out of town) and she personally went out of her way to make my night awesome! she has full command of the bar, takes care of the regulars and welcomes new folks visiting ! I manage a VFW in Massachusetts and told her I wish she lived there so she could work at the VFW. SHe made goody's tavern an unbelievable experience- please come visit and ask for Holly! read more

I don't normally write reviews, but Will and Tyler 100% deserve the recognition. From the moment I walked in, they made the whole experience easy, welcoming, and actually enjoyable. You can tell right away that they genuinely care about the people they're helping -- not just trying to rush you through or sell you something. read more

Heather and Holly were amazing on a hectic football Sunday. They had several issues with snobby customers and both handled it with firmness and fairness. Highly recommend coming in when they're working. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to go to a local bar after eating out on the pier and Goodys did not disappoint. They have free pool and free karaoke! We got 4 beers for less than $30 which we have found to be a good deal on the coast of california. The service was amazing, the drinks were available immediately and the woman in charge of karaoke made an effort to be personal with all the people that decided to perform. The ambiance feels like a small town bar with lots of neon signs and tvs to watch sports! read more

Cool neighborhood local bar with a couple of poo tables. The bartender was super nice.

Being a staple of San Clemente since 1929, Goodys continues to provide a fun backdrop of sports, music and spirits. The crowd at Goodys is always a mix of happy-go-lucky locals, old friends and visitors to the city. Being an animal-friendly establishment, you might just encounter someone's lovely four-legged companion looking for rubs and kisses. The staff are all extremely friendly and professional, service industry rockstars. My favorite bartender, Heather always greets her guests with a smile and always remembers what they drink . The Goodys team are also very strict on providing their guests with a safe and secure environment. The guys in the red shirts are always keeping a watchful eye, so their patrons can enjoy themselves without worry. If you are in San Clemente, it's a must that you visit your friends here at Goodys. read more

I've been stopping through San Clemente for sometime now and didn't key into Goody's until this last layover. My favorite bars are cowboy honky tonk type because they are the only bars that play country music, my preference. Unfortunately, they can also be the most unruly as well. Goody's seems to be pretty laid back. It has a funky cowboy surfer feel. Lot's of tanned good looking beach girls with cowboy boots and redneck marines. I dropped in on a Wednesday night, which was country night. It was pretty full, not packed but I can see this place getting rowdy. Cold beer, country music, all good! read more

I personally don't hang out a lot at Bars or Taverns much but I learned about Goodys from a long time friend of mine when he asked me to stop in for a beer before I went home after work. So one day I did, and I met a few other real great guys who were interesting to talk to and soon found out they were quite funny and I found myself laughing every time I stopped in. Well not only did I find my new friends great to see there but the Bartenders as well were so cordial and attentive serving us our drinks and talking with us when they can. I never have to to say what Beer I want to order because somehow they remember ever time I come in.... Heather is one of my favorites because she not only listens but has a great sense of humor that I really get a kick out of. She can really make you laugh sometimes with her honesty, She makes visiting Goodys fun. Grace and Erika are also very special because they also make my time at Goodys a pleasant one. Anyway, I highly recommend stopping in at Goodys Tavern in San Clemente, it is a great place with Great Bartenders and Regulars who all get along like we should these days. Rarely do I see a negative or unhappy person in there. Truly a great little Tavern that I have been going to now for around 4 years. Who knows, maybe you will meet a few of us at Goodys who are members of the Rat Pak Right now we are 5 members and all good friends read more
