Intentionally allowing overbooking of courses and restaurants may drive profits short-term, but customer service will fail and foot traffic will diminish. We booked a 12:40pm tee off, that stated after 1:30. When we were finally sat for lunch, our server had two tables-- 15 and 18 guests. In other words, he was slammed and then given a two-top and expected to serve us well. A well -run restaurant would never allow their servers and customers to be treated this way. Short staffing cuts corners, but always results in poor performance. It is highly unlikely that we will ever return to this location. There are better ways to spend a Saturday. (By the way, we landed with a very nice server after asking to be re-sat.) read more

Came here with a group of 6 and we decided to get food and drinks before mini golfing. The food was OK- the poutine specifically was more like cheese fries but it was still delicious. So, this is the second Puttshack location I have visited. This time, I had a party of 4. Since we reserved a time online, Sapphire was chosen for us. Unfortunately, I had already played most of these holes at the Atlanta location, so I was a bit disappointed. The ambience is absolutely phenomenal. Neon everywhere, pop music - this place is such a vibe! Our game didn't start off well. The ball machine got stuck, so we ended up waiting an extra ten minutes or so. I'm sure someone could have fixed the ball machine a lot earlier than the did. Now, the problem I have with Puttshack (since I've visited two locations), is that they offer too many reservation times. There was a LARGE party ahead of us that took their sweet time on each hole. There is not enough room to stand around each hole when there are so many people on each course. In my opinion, if they offered less reservation times, the courses wouldn't be so tight. You end up rushing your putt because people are staring at you from behind. Lastly, I wish the prices were a bit more affordable for large parties. $72 for a party of 4 is a bit unreasonable. I think with that kind of money, you would be able to play two rounds. I will definitely be back to try every course, but I'm just disappointed with these couple of things. read more

You wont be able to cancel a reservation if you try, so don't pay in advance just in case you can't make it. They are impossible to get a hold of over the phone, they hung up on me 4 times and when I asked for a manager to call me back, no one did and it's been 4 days. When you try to cancel online it says internal server error. Then when you email the help desk they say it's cancelled, but you still see your reservation online and I'm still getting reminder emails. I paid $80 for 4 people to play 9 holes of mini golf, this place is a rip off and I am never coming here after this experience. read more

I'll keep it short, just like the course: -bar was overpriced and the bartender wasn't all that great -ball wasn't registered for a few holes -very long waits between holes (couldn't loop back to try and get the ball to read on the two it missed) -there's only 9 holes. -the bathroom soap dispensers didn't work and were pretty gross -I only found two hand sanitizer things that worked Just go spend your money some place else. read more

Golfing experience was very fun, unfortunately there was very little availability both times I visited and was held to 9 holes each time. The second time I visited (today) there was a young guy that was borderline harassing me. He asked if we had been there before and we said yes. He then told us to give the group ahead of us more space, so I asked him where he would like for us to stand because there was approximately 10' between us and anyone in the next group. He then came back and started explaining how to play, I told him again that we had been there before. Then he came back to tell us we should go ahead and skip holes (opposite of what he told us less than 5 minutes ago). Finally I went up to the host stand and politely asked the kind lady to please have him stop bothering us. We played the round of golf, which was great and had a lot of fun. After we decided to try the food, which I would highly suggest eating in the seaport at the wonderful restaurants around instead of the mediocre food and service. None of the tables looked pleased. The soda had no carbonation, the chicken sandwich was messy, not tasty and had huge tomato slices and tiny bits of chicken. I'd leave a much lower review but I never bomb establishments after general managing for almost 15 years. read more

I do not think Puttshack is worth the time or the money. We planned our evening around dinner and games at Puttshack and after spending $150 for two people to eat, have one drink and pay to play we ended up bailing early. we had dinner which was OK. We then tried to have a cocktail which they called a "top shelf margarita" however it was a draft margarita. It took zero skill to serve but they charge $17 for the "craft" cocktail. The bartender also kept sniffing my glass while he was pouring it which was off putting in itself. The putt putt portion was annoying because we were under the impression that when you reserved a play time that you would just begin at your scheduled time. We actually didn't even get our first putt in until 25 minutes after it began. There were so many parties starting at the same time it made for the area to be clogged and uncomfortable and made wait times much longer. After the first putt we ended up bailing because it was so uncomfortable trying to find a place to wait in your designated area without being in everyone's way. They also said it was hitech and the only thing hitech were the led lights they used for the games. Overall I do not recommend Puttshack. read more

Had a reservation for Saturday at 9:40. We arrived 30 minutes beforehand and were told to hangout until out reservation. Once it reached 9:40 we headed up stairs to then be told we'd have to wait in line for an hour + to play although we had made reservations. Moral of the story is Puttshack is able to take a reservation they just are not able to keep a reservation which is really the most important part. I was seventh-wheeling here with some friends recently. We order one round of drinks, all beers. It takes about a half hour for them to come out. The waitress then asks, "are you ready to order food?". Like no, I need more time, and besides my buddy Tom flipped all the menus (they're card-stock bound to a wooden board with four screws (one at each corner)) and since we had so much time, he undid all the screws, flipped the menu itself, and and redid all the screws, so we're just looking at blank paper. I don't even know what's ON the menu at this point. It took at least 20 minutes to do that so I know we'll need a while to undo at least one and then pass that menu around to everyone to individually read it and decide what they want. My other buddy Max beat me at golf, would give five stars otherwise. read more

The waiter at the Puttshack restaurant was incredibly rude to us after we decided to go elsewhere to eat due to my daughter's food allergies. When we explained that she did not one the one item that their kitchen was willing to make for her, he rudely stared at us before walking away. On the way out he was loudly complaining about us to one of his coworkers, shaming my teenage daughter and making us very uncomfortable. So disappointing in this day and age as a peanut allergy is not a new phenomenon. We will never go back. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare. We booked two reservations - one for 9:40pm and one for 10:30pm. They make you prepay for each person so for a group of 5 the total for both games is $180. This in and of itself is not an issue. The issue arose when we got into line after being assigned our game and waited for an hour and we still were nowhere near starting our first game. At this time, we proceeded to speak with PuttShack staff who told us the process to get a refund was to fill out a small strip of paper with a pen that has the name and booking number of the reservation. And if we just so happened to write legibly enough, someone might get back to us in a couple of days with a potential refund. They blamed the entire poor process on PuttShack being a UK company that doesn't understand how the US works. To top it all off, there was a large group of people that lingered on the course across multiple holes even after they were done playing (who were the main culprit for the hour+ wait) and the PuttShack manager said he was unable to ask them to move off the course because they were a paying customer. Overall, I'd give PuttShack a 0/10 and I will never be back. Do not have people prepay for a reservation if they aren't able to golf during the time booked. read more

The golf is great, the bartenders suck. They were very rude, terrible service, and we were charged inconsistently. As for the golf, it's super short and watch out at hole 9.... Walked in at 10:50 for our 11:00 reservation. Downstairs host asked us to go check in upstairs, so I listen to him. As Im checking in with the hostess upstairs, lady with glasses and dark long hair who seems to be the manager flat out interupts the two of us saying "we're not open - you need to go downstairs and wait were having a meeting." Tell her oh were sorry they told us to check in upstairs. Just repeats herself "were not open." Comes downstairs with us and berates the man who sent us up, in front of us and everyone else. Have no problem waiting until opening but the tone and delivery were terrible - we didn't know they weren't open. The door was open, people walking around, and the host downstairs told us to check in upstairs. I wouldnt treat guests nor my employees like that. For someone in the hospitality industry - she was the opposite of hospitable. Everyone else we interacted with was great - should lose the manager/dictator. read more

I would not recommend coming here at all. The security is obviously very shady we came before 9 and were ONLY asked if we were older than 21 since the manager was not present ( for the record I am 35 and look it) and then we proceeded to upstairs and registered for a 920 time. Left and told security we would be back. When returned we were told they have to have a physical copy (I had a picture on my phone) since the manager was in the lobby handling an unrelated issue. When we registered there was no warning that we must present ID to enter and we when left initially the security made no mention that upon return we would need our id. I didn't carry my wallet since my husband was present.luckily my husband had my ID in his wallet from earlier in the day but to be honest if I could leave and get my money back I would. I am currently writing this review while waiting for my Uber in the lobby, that's how terrible my experience was. We spent more time waiting for each hole than we did actually playing the holes. The holes randomly added strokes to our scores. I ordered a drink on the second hole, the waiter seemed extremely bothered that I asked them for something, and I never got the drink. I then went to the bar, said I ordered a drink 40 minutes ago, and they refused to give it to me because they were "closed" while still serving other customers. My friends ordered beers, which they actually received, but when they took a sip they were watered down, or at the very least not what they ordered. The place was hot, incredibly crowded, the waitstaff was rude, and the mini golf was honestly not even fun. Save your money. read more

We went as a group of 10 for my sisters 22 birthday. The golfing was fun but a hot mess. The balls took forever to come out and the groups were held up. The golfing was fun and different than the typical mini golf. We had a table reservation but since it took a while to actually get on the course we were late to get a table. My sister went over forty five minutes before the table reservation to say we were late getting on the course. They told her she'd be fine and to just come over after. After mini golf she went over and they told her she never checked in and that it would be another 20-40 minutes. We ordered drinks before we got on the course and the server was confused but got us drinks. He forgot my lime and said he would be right back. He came over with the lime in his hand not in a napkin or cocktail stick. We ended up at a table downstairs and ordered drinks and food. We ordered the smoking drink and did not come out the way they advertise it. I had glass in my drink and the server did not comp anything or seem too apologetic. But it makes sense since many of the servers there stack glasses when clearing tables. At the end of the night our receipt had extra drinks we didn't order. It took a while to get them removed and we only noticed because we asked for a printed receipt. Overall it was a fun time and we would give it a second chance. However the servers clearly need more training. read more

I can't compliment the Puttshack Boston team ( ESPECIALLY Casey our server, and Derek, one of the management team members) enough. We had a private group event of about 20 people on New Year's Eve, and from the moment we got there Casey was ready to celebrate with us, warmly welcomed us and provided top-tier service, far beyond what I would expect. She helped organize us to our tee times and did a great job making sure we knew what to expect with the flow of the night. Shortly after starting our round a family member had an unexpected medical need that was handled professionally, safely, and as discretely as possible. When we were ready to return to play, we were incorporated back on course seamlessly. Casey was compassionate and helpful throughout, and we had a blast through the ball drop. I would have no hesitation to return to Puttshack either for fun or another group event. Our event was ages 27- 70 and enjoyed by all. They also have a great mocktail menu for those who want a creative drink without alcohol, and the food was excellent. read more
