Chicken kebab wrap

My chicken kebab wrap was a cut above in terms of quality and taste. Gazpacho special was tasty. Hubby liked his felafel wrap.

This place is great! Awesome sandwiches! Great deli meats! Friendly service! Clean and nice restaurant! And they've got some great entrees as well. The guy who I presume is the owner is so friendly, fantastic business he's got here. Love this place.

I got the lamb kebab today and it was fantastic. Also the service was excellent, and I loved the warm bread. I look forward to going back.

Magic...Come for wine, and stay awhile!…read more Calling all wine lovers, and/or people who enjoy great wine. Jadu is a chic wine bar in Jamaica Plain that I had the privelege of checking out for the first time with friends. Located on the busy Centre street, this posh wine bar is something to talk about. Our server Alex gratiously mentioned some of their wine specials. We opted to stick to the menu, which had a lot to choose from. I recommend trying out a few different varietals, your palate will thank you :) I tried their Rose Pet-Nat which was phenomenal and everyone else had something different. Their menu is small, tapas style but yet so delicious and eloquent. We shared their Whipped Feta, Bread & Whipped Butter, Salad and Rice Pudding for dessert. Everything was spectacular! For 4 people we were full, but I could've stayed for more wine. There's never a dull moment when it comes to wine, right! I know that Boston has a ton of wine bars, but Jadu is something special. From the cozy ambiance to their fabulous and fun wine selections, it felt like I was in my own living room. And, maybe that is the vibe that are going for, but nevertheless they are worth a visit. Jadu means Magic in Hindi! Cheers~

I'd definitely come back to check that out. I tried the hot cocoa and the Maggi. The hot cocoa was delicious, rich and chocolatey without being overly thick or heavy. The Maggi had some really fun and unique ingredients, including avocado, and the tofu was especially well seasoned and flavorful. The only downside was the broth. It was labeled as a soup, but it felt incredibly watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting especially since I grew up eating maggi. The toppings and ingredients themselves were good, but the broth didn't quite bring everything together. My husband got the tuna salad bowl and enjoyed it.

This time around we were truly dissatisfied with the quality of our main dish, a Paella de Marsicos (Seafood paella). By the recommendation of our server, we had the smaller size which was supposed to serve two people, that is my wife and I. The rice on the paella was burnt, there were only two mid size shrimp and a very few of the other "mariscos" that are normally part of a Seafood Paella. Service was OK. Servers seemed to be in a rush to get us out ASAP. They tried to take our plates away even before we finish eating. They were not rude, just pushy. We were presented with our bill even before we finshed drinking our glass of wine. Place is great, atmosphere is very good but since we have had real paella both at another places and even homemade, maybe our expectations were much higher than what we got.

After over a decade of living in Boston, I found myself in town for the weekend and Tres Gatos was my number 1 food stop. The food is always phenomenal, with both old favorites (tortilla espagnola!) and new dishes (oyster mushrooms!). Drinks were interesting and tasty (the mushroom cocktail was so neat!), service was excellent, and the vibe is cozy, hip, and gay. Practical tips: -About a 10 min walk from Stonybrook (orange line) -Stairs to get in at the front -- it's possible there may be an accessible entrance around the back, but I'm not sure. -Parking nearby is doable, but not necessarily easy -Reservations are important, especially for larger parties on popular nights -Volume is average -- loud enough that you can't hear the table next to you (unless you're really listening!), soft enough that you can easily chat with your whole table without shouting

What an interesting little place!…read more I'd heard about this restaurant before but had never actually visited, so I was excited to finally check it out. What makes it especially unique is the setting. There's a vinyl record store next door, and the restaurant itself is housed in what appears to be an old home, with the living room and kitchen transformed into a dining space. How cool is that?! The space is quite small, intimate, and dimly lit, giving it a cozy feel. Service was great throughout our visit. The menu features a small-plates concept, which I really enjoyed because it allowed us to sample quite a few dishes. We actually tried most of the menu, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the overall dining experience. Now, the cocktails... unfortunately, those weren't a hit for me. I'm definitely a sweet, fruity cocktail kind of person, and even after two attempts, I couldn't find anything that really suited my taste. I would have loved to see a few sweeter options on the cocktail menu. Not everyone enjoys spirit-forward or less-sweet drinks, so a little more variety would be appreciated! Would I come back? Absolutely! The food, service, and unique atmosphere are worth another visit. Next time, though, I might skip the cocktails and venture into their wine selection instead. Overall, a charming little spot with a lot of character and a dining experience I'd happily repeat!

We ordered drinks, and one came quickly. had to ask another wait staff for remaining drinks 10 minutes later. Ordered appetizers, then placed main order. 15 minutes go by, and I see three dishes under heating lamp. Five minutes later those three dishes and another were brought to our table. My paccheri bolangnese was cold, and prepared with spacatelli pasta - waiter neglected to state out of all pastas but spacatelli. My wife's roasted chicken was very dry(too long under heating lamp?). My son ordered the spacatelli al pesto, but he was mistakenly given spacatelli bolognese. He prefers not to eat meat. We sent that back and ten minutes later he received his correct order. The restaurant was scheduled to close at 10 PM. I can only imagine service and choices given to people with later reservation. MIDA didn't deserve one star, but that option is not offered. you MIDAwant to chose another restaurant if you expect better!
