Blended daily special - Maple and Vanilla
Kristina D.

One of my favorites! I've been coming to Purple Bean for years, and the coffee always hits the spot. You can either order inside or in the drive through line, but if you've never been here before, I'd either go inside or look at the menu beforehand because they have A LOT of flavors! I switch between getting the blended Cherry Garcia and the daily special. This place is a real gem!

Spiced dirty chai with hemp milk

Cute little place. Can order inside or their drive thru window. Huge menu with a discounted "drink of the day". The prices here are solid. Got a large (3 x espresso), dirty chai with hemp milk. The chai is powdered and it was okay. Not super flavorful but I do love that there is a hemp milk option. Which is an upcharge but my drink was $6 and some change. Like Starbucks would have been $11 if not more so I'd be down to come back and support this little local spot. Lovely ladies working there that greeted me with a smile. Stamp cards are available!

Spring dream

Such a fun energetic environment!!! They're so sweet to my little !!! Btw the spring dream is to DIE FOR ! The only thing I would say is that I feel as if their sugar-free options do need to be revised as their syrups are sugar-free. I feel as if their bases are not. My mom is a type two diabetic and went from a normal sugar to 365+ her sugars, like nothing else to eat or drink besides what they offered that morning other than that overall a good vibe

Recommended by a local, I was meh about it. The menu sounds great, the latte flavors seem exciting and awesome variety but I ordered two separate drinks & felt like they both lacked flavor. I was expecting something more bold, and it was almost a watered down taste. The service was good, staff was friendly. I really liked that there was an indoor/drive thru option. I would try it again, maybe not iced to see if the flavor was more outstanding or not. The local that recommended it said it's her favorite place, so maybe I should have just picked different on the menu.

The coffee here is very good. The staff is sweet. It is super busy. Bring your patience. The menu is diverse and can satisfy any sweet tooth and traditional coffee lovers.

Cranberry White chocolate scone

I really enjoyed the small home town feel. They were warm and welcoming add much as they were busy. My oat milk latte was delicious and the scone was a great addition to the morning. Prices were really reasonable and the quality of everything was better than expected, making this my new favorite place. Definitely recommend.

Met my best friend here for breakfast last week! It's been ages since we actually sat down in this locally owned coffee joint. I ordered a sausage and egg breakfast burrito to sustain me until lunch. My son had a chocolate cheesecake muffin as well with some milk. I ordered their creme brulee latte special my girlfriend had a smoothie and a bagel. It was nice to catch up with her and be able to sit down and enjoy a coffee shop that we haven't been physically in, in years. I'll always strive to support local and this will always be a stop whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

I love this local female-owned and operated coffee shop. Always have a fun, friendly, and welcoming vibe in there. The many flavored lattes they have in there are all so good. There's absolutely no reason to go to any of the big chain coffee spots in the area when this local favorite exists.

Blended banana, chocolate, hazelnut with oatmilk

I love to go out and get a blended or hot coffee drinks and have recently discovered this little gem on the northwest side of town. My very first visit I had such a hard time making up my mind because I had not been to a coffee place that offered so many flavor choices. I finally decided to order my drink and asked what dairy free milks they had. Once again, I was not disappointed. I had my choice of several of the dairy free options. So far, my favorite is the Cherry Garcia blended with oat milk. I want that one again but still have so many others to choose from. My second favorite is probably the Milky Way. I have not tried any of the hot varieties but will be soon. Finally, just want to mention the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Don't forget to get your stamp card so after 10 purchases the 11th one is free.

Midnight has been on my list for a while, and when I was craving coffee one evening and realized…read moremost local spots were already closed by 5pm, I finally made it in. Reno really needs more coffee shops with later hours, and I'm glad we have Midnight! I got the goat toast, and if I could give more than 5 stars for the toast alone, I would. Chef's kiss. The sweetness and tang of the goat cheese with the balsamic, paired with the umami from the grilled onions, was such a good combination. At $8.50, it was worth every penny. For coffee, I got the shaken brown sugar latte, my husband got the iced Purple Haze latte, and my daughter got the chocolate chip croissant. Her croissant had generous chunks of chocolate and was perfectly flaky, so she was very happy. The vibe was great, with the roll-up windows bringing in tons of fresh air and sunlight. It was already popping at 5pm with lots of people working on laptops, but we managed to snag a seat. Midtown has some of my favorite food and drink spots in Reno, but my biggest gripe is usually the parking situation. It can be rough and stressful, so I was pleasantly surprised to find street parking right out front. All around, a great first experience.

I came in with a friend on a Saturday morning on his recommendation…read more This is a great local coffee shop and roaster. I got my usual Vanilla Latte. It was a warm morning so I got it Iced. I really enjoyed the espresso roast they use in the drinks. I also got a Gluten-Free lemon blueberry poundcake. It was quite good! Denser than a cake, but not quite as dense a cheescake. I enjoyed it.
