Pumpkin cream cold brew
Jackie V.

New NW Reno coffee shop! It's awesome to see The Roost expand from their original coffee stand. Their new location is spacious with tables and chairs for customers to sit and enjoy their drinks/pastries. They also sell merch as well. I ordered a pumpkin cream cold brew and enjoyed it! Their cold brew was bold but not acidic - just the way I like it. And their pumpkin cream cold foam was delicious. They had a simple menu displayed on the wall but I didn't see a menu of their fall drinks that they advertised on IG. The only one that was shown on a sign next to the cash register was their PSL. So I had to clarify with the cashier if they were still selling other seasonal drinks as advertised to which she said yes. I wished all of the seasonal drinks were displayed so that customers knew what the options were! Aside from that, I enjoyed my experience and would come back.

Anytime we are in this area of town, we always try to stop by Walden's Coffeehouse. Such a great…read morelocal spot with delicious breakfast items, great coffee, and both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter, get a number, and the food is delivered to your table. I actually really like this concept that has been popping up recently in a lot of hip and popular places around Reno -- casual, easy, and efficient. They also have bakery items, and one of our favorites is the almond bear claw. So good! This time we had the lox toast and avocado toast with bacon. Both choices were absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxed breakfast or coffee spot in Reno.

I don't know what it takes to serve hot food but neither location seems to have mastered it. The counter girl looked like she could be barely bothered to take our order. Have to love that when they spin the tablet around for a tips - in a place where the ONLY service is dropping your food off . We cleaned our own table when we sat down, got our own water, extra fork, bussed our own table when we left. I left a tip but not sure why... My partner burrito was wrapped poorly and disintegrated when picked up. Seating was cramped and ambience loud. It's not a bargain; you can do much better in Reno at the same price.

It's a quick, sit-down service, so it's speedy, efficient, and you can get on with eating and good times with company. Ordered was Gina's Kale Salad, which was refreshing and delicious. It certainly was a good healthy bowl that was filling. Additionally, the Elote bowl was good, however, more flavor and spice would be nice, but otherwise, it was a great stop-in! Can't wait to try more of their dishes!

People say their bagels are amazing so we had to try. We ordered the following: - Breakfast Sando: The bagel was chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The egg was fluffy. Not a fan of kale, but it was surprisingly good. - Mochi Waffle: I love the chewy texture! It was a lot larger than I expected so I couldn't finished it all. The ube whipping was delicious and not too sweet. We got numbers at our table after paying and once the food is ready, they serve it to your table. This is a good place to order food and hang out/chat. There is seating outside as well.

It's always surprising to me what you can find in Northwest Reno. This location is tucked in the…read moresmall but mighty Las Brisas Pavilions Plaze (the Squeeze-In and Keva Juice are also here). Parking is somewhat limited, but people were coming and going frequently. Really cool vibe inside with a high, industrial ceiling and lots of glass and light. You can see the coffee roasting taking place as you sit at one of the many tables and counter (there's also outside seating with a nice, open view). I came hoping to eat, but the food options were pretty limited. I think I just saw a breakfast sandwich and a few things in the pastry case. Although the coffee menu is extensive, I'm not a huge coffee drinker and was about to leave empty-handed when I saw the ad for the Coconut Ube Matcha. Everything about that sounded delicious. I was even happier when I ordered and saw the barista hand mixing the matcha (since at some places these flavors can be a pre-mix from a can). Wow, the matcha and the housemade coconut ube syrup did not disappoint. One of the best crafted tea drinks I've had. So good, it kinda made my morning. Will definitely be back!

This coffee shop has plenty of seating, plenty of parking and a very friendly staff. Unfortunately,…read moreit is really expensive and I don't think I will be back. We ordered two of the seasonal iced lattes in the smallest size available (10oz) both with oat milk, and it cost $20 for two drinks. An extra charge of $1.25 for oat milk seemed excessive, especially as the cost of "alternative milks" has gone down. We had a gift card but definitely will not be back without having a gift card. The black sesame latte was ok, I personally don't enjoy sesame seeds in my coffee as the texture isn't great. However, the browned butter latte was fantastic. It was the right amount of sweetness and toffee flavor. If it didn't cost $10 for 10oz I would come back and order that one again.
