Read the comments listed below and decide for yourself. They aren't wrong. The store is…read moreridiculously packed. Miss Ann does watch you and yes it is uncomfortable esp since there is literally nowhere for you to be at for her to be watching so close. I think she means well tho. She is nice though esp if you're nice. My remedy is to tell her what I need and let her walk through the maze to find the products I'm looking for ‍ If you need something last minute and/or you live nearby, I recommend it. If not just wait & go somewhere less frustrating. Don't go out of your way it's not worth the gas. Always check your bag before you move away from the register mine has had a hole in it every time. I bring my own bag now. And double check the products. I got 6 bottles of different adore dye colors and one had no seal & it was a more watery consistency than then the rest. Lastly her hours are funky. Don't trust google. In person she said Wednesday-Saturday 11-5 but don't quote me I'm sure these will change depending on who she is talking to.

So I'm getting ready to go to an event and I realize that I need to address the 2 broken acrylic…read morenails I have. I find myself scrambling to find nail products to temporarily address the issue so my hands don't look a complete mess at the event. I didn't have much time, but I decided to search for local beauty supply stores before walking to the nearby CVS and that's how I came across Ann's which surprisingly is about a 3 minute walk from my house. I just moved to this area and had no clue that I'd actually find a black beauty supply store so close. I ran over to Ann's to get my nail supplies. The front of the building looked comparable to any other commercial building storefront that you'd normally see in the area, but when I opened the door, I was shocked to see what looked like a long lost episode of the show "Hoarders!" There was literally stuff EVERYWHERE. No order or organization to any of it. Honestly I don't think I've ever seen a store that was actually open for business that was this bad. I read a couple of reviews on the way, but I was still completely shocked to see anything that looked like this. Nonetheless, i was quickly approached by a kind older Asian lady (which I assumed to be Ms. Ann) that greeted me and asked what I needed. I told her what all I was looking for and she went right to it. Her kindness, the fact that she had what I needed and the fact that her prices were very reasonable, will likely keep me from completing ruling this place out if I find myself in a beauty emergency. However the lack of organization will likely keep me from frequenting here. And even if I did return I wouldn't dare buy anything open package. If it return, it would not only have to be an emergency, but also be because she has something that I couldn't get at CVS. Glad to have a place nearby that actually sells black products, but not at all happy about the condition of the inside of the store. Hopefully she'll get organized, but seeing the other reviewers, I highly doubt it.

The body butter has great smell and work the same as the salt scrub with smoothing purpose. I love their mud soap as it leaves the skin smooth and clean. With much more eye care that I would like to purchase in the future. I cant wait to have my next purchase from this store.

Kinda aggressive sales technique. Feels like you're forced into the store after being handed a…read moresample sachet. Initially tried to sell a $199 jar then conveniently found a $99 jar. Had no price lists or leaflets, or any general product information. So was pressured into making a decision on the spot. Also the bloke trying to mansplain to me what the symbols meant on the packaging was completely wrong xD He tried to explain how the little jar symbol with the 24 in it meant that it had 24 month's worth of product in it! I said it was the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol, which is how long the ingredients are safe to use after opening. As soon as he tried to make up stuff I knew I had to get out. Thankfully he pointed out how I didn't want to fix my rosacea and blackheads before I left. Maybe do your own research and fix you sales pitch first *Also kinda convenient that all 3 of the 5 star reviews are by guys that have only reviewed this store and nothing else

Minarelle - None of these treatments are actually done just loads of questions and if you want to buy any of the tools they sell, thats it.

This is a review of their facials…read more I had the Soothing Facial with Erin. Erin is INCREDIBLE. Super wonderful energy, and great information in advance about what to expect (from smells to overall process). She also noticed when I started to get cold and adjusted the temperature after checking with me--she was really in tune with me. This wasn't an "extraction/super science-y" facial, but that's not a bad thing. The products are excellent, and felt amazing. And I really loved the extra attention on my whole self--making sure I was present, breathing, and relaxed. I would recommend--particularly as a self-care gift for yourself or someone else!

If you wander past Take Care, it might appear to just be a retail shop (natural skincare and beauty…read moreand wellness brands), albeit one with a lot of style. But it's more than that, too - it's also a holistic spa. I stopped to take care of myself the weekend after Thanksgiving and really enjoyed my experience! The spa menu is is varied - facials, microdermabrasion facials, lymphatic drainage facial, buccal facial,...! They also do some work with crystals, Reiki, and sound baths, which isn't my thing but may be really helpful to others. I had the manual lymphatic drainage facial - which is a quick facial followed by a very thorough face massage intended to address puffiness and dullness in the skin. I enjoyed my service very much. The facial was very relaxing, and the space (minimalist, clean, and bright) added to that experience. I live in Baltimore, where prices for just about everything are much lower than in DC, so Take Care was a bit of a splurge compared to the facials I get at home. But it was a treat, and it really did feel like I was taking extra good care of myself during the stressful holiday season. I probably couldn't do facials at Take Care too often, but I would happily return for future services to treat myself. My birthday is coming up!!
