I didn't have much time, but I decided to search for local beauty supply stores before walking to the nearby CVS and that's how I came across Ann's which surprisingly is about a 3 minute walk from my house. I just moved to this area and had no clue that I'd actually find a black beauty supply store so close. I ran over to Ann's to get my nail supplies. The front of the building looked comparable to any other commercial building storefront that you'd normally see in the area, but when I opened the door, I was shocked to see what looked like a long lost episode of the show "Hoarders!" There was literally stuff EVERYWHERE. No order or organization to any of it. Honestly I don't think I've ever seen a store that was actually open for business that was this bad. I read a couple of reviews on the way, but I was still completely shocked to see anything that looked like this. Nonetheless, i was quickly approached by a kind older Asian lady (which I assumed to be Ms. Ann) that greeted me and asked what I needed. I told her what all I was looking for and she went right to it. Her kindness, the fact that she had what I needed and the fact that her prices were very reasonable, will likely keep me from completing ruling this place out if I find myself in a beauty emergency. However the lack of organization will likely keep me from frequenting here. And even if I did return I wouldn't dare buy anything open package. If it return, it would not only have to be an emergency, but also be because she has something that I couldn't get at CVS. Glad to have a place nearby that actually sells black products, but not at all happy about the condition of the inside of the store. Hopefully she'll get organized, but seeing the other reviewers, I highly doubt it.

I felt very much at ease and she really knew what she was doing. My facial was sooo relaxing and my skin came out feeling so refreshed. She really listened to what I needed for my skin. My cousin loved her facial and she looked really dewy and glowy afterwards. The young lady at the desk even gave her skincare product advice. We will definitely be back if DuPont Circle is not available. My only concern is when making the appointment, I had no way of letting them know that my cousin has her own membership, so they had to cancel her appointment and reschedule it under her own account.
