If you're a member (for a facial one a month), the service is $65; for non-members, the facial is $80. They have a wash bar when you wash your hands and face before being taken into one of the treatment rooms. The 30-minute facial is customized based on your needs (mine was focused on extractions and LED light therapy). The customer service was great, and the treatment room was beautiful and comfortable (mine was the back treatment room which had enormous windows looking out onto the garden behind the building - those fall colors and trees made my treatment extra relaxing). There are a lot of options for facials now - a range of prices, lengths of treatment, a range of privacy offered by the spa. There isn't a Glowbar by me in Baltimore, so membership isn't an option for me. But I enjoyed my experience. It's nice to have a less expensive and quick option for a facial! It makes it easy to fit in a facial, even during a busy week or weekend.

So far, I've gotten about 3-4 facials with Meka and a waxing with Bri. They are the absolute best. For my facials, Meka is so attentive on the progress of my skin over the last year. I debated writing this review because some of my frustration is honestly with the lash industry in…read moregeneral, not just this particular appointment. I've been getting lash lifts/Korean lash lifts a few times a year for the past couple of years, and I really wish more providers communicated with clients throughout the service. The first few people I ever went to would explain what they were doing as they went--"I'm doing this step now," "next I'm going to do this," etc.--and I didn't realize how much I appreciated that until I started going to places where almost nothing is said. Unfortunately, at this appointment, the lack of communication actually affected my results. When I arrived, my name was called and I was told to get on the bed. There wasn't any consultation about what I wanted, what type of curl I was looking for, or what tint color I preferred. I assumed that maybe the provider was evaluating my lashes and would ask questions as we got to the relevant steps. That never happened. At some point, my lashes were tinted black without anyone asking me what color I wanted. I have naturally blonde lashes and would have preferred brown. More importantly, I specifically get lash lifts because my natural lashes stick straight out and I want some curl at the ends. I paid about $150, and unfortunately my lashes now look essentially the same as before--straight out--but black. The most concerning part of the appointment was during the tinting process. One of my eyes started burning badly, and I said that it was burning. Nothing really happened, so I said again that it was really burning. Water was then poured into the other eye--the one that was not burning. I explained that it was the other eye, but the incorrect eye continued to be rinsed. Eventually I sat up and said again that my eye was burning. After some additional confusion about which eye I was referring to, it was finally addressed. I've had some irritation during the tinting portion of lash services before, so that part itself isn't necessarily unusual for me. Other providers have sometimes given me a small fan during that step, which has helped tremendously. What bothered me here was having to repeatedly communicate that my eye was actively burning before the correct eye was addressed. I'll absolutely take some responsibility for not speaking up at the beginning and explicitly saying exactly what I wanted. I've learned from this experience that going forward I need to initiate that conversation myself rather than assuming there will be a consultation. But I also think a professional providing a service like this should be asking basic questions before starting--especially about the desired result and tint color--and communicating enough during the appointment that the client understands what is being done. I genuinely wish this were more common across the industry. At this point, I would happily pay more for a lash provider who starts with an actual consultation and simply communicates throughout the service. It doesn't need to be a chatty appointment. I don't need conversation for the sake of conversation. I just want someone to tell me what they're doing, ask what result I'm looking for, and respond promptly if I say something is hurting. Unfortunately, between the lack of consultation, the issue when my eye was burning, and the final result, this appointment was extremely disappointing.

Mine doesn't, and there's nothing I can do about that since my school doesn't print them on their IDs. I said that I could provide an actual certificate of enrollment or a "Good Student Discount Certificate" from the National Student Clearing House, multiple other different ways of bona fide verification and she wouldn't let me. The woman at the front desk said that's the only way "she" (purportedly the owner/boss, who is not her) allows them to do it. I explained that those are just as good as a date on a card, but she still wouldn't let me and told me that "it was only $5 more so it's not that big of a deal." It was actually $8 more, and if that money isn't that big of a deal, they should have been fine with honoring my ID with multiple certificates. I'm not upset about compliance with the policy (other than the fact that telling someone to pay more money "isn't that big of a deal" is rude) but rather the policy itself; I think that disallowing someone to show other bona fide (arguably more credible) methods of enrollment verification is arbitrary. Seems like they try to get students in by having the student discount rate but ultimately not allowing them to use it so they still get the full price. Otherwise, the spray tan in the VersaSpa was mostly fine, I have been tanning in VersaPros regularly for about 5 years, and they have 3 nozzles (as opposed to the VersaSpa's 2) and I feel like I get a better tan with the VersaPros, so I feel like $35 is a little much to charge. Additionally, the mist coming from the nozzles felt very light, which means the nozzles probably haven't been cleaned, leaving your spray lighter. However, after only a couple minutes outside, the spray completely came off/ran under my boobs, which has never happened with any VersaPro I've used. It was also very light on my legs, but that happens with every Versa I've used. The nice thing about this place is that they provide towels, baby wipes, feet protectors for the bottom of your feet, hair ties, shower caps, and barrier cream, which is more than the norm where I usually tan. She also told me about after tan care, including mentioning that Dove products take all Versa sprays off, which I never knew. TL;DR: don't expect to use your student discount, tan is ok, customer service is mixed.
